Stephen Fry/Oscar Wilde

Jim78

Probationary
I just saw a Stephen Fry interview. Every time I see him all I can think is "Oscar Wilde". I never saw the film in which he played him, I just see all the similarities between them.

In a way I think that imagining Fry to be Wilde's current incarnation gives vindication to Wilde's suffering. Fry married his male love in 2015.

What do others think?

Could Fry be Wilde or is it all just a coincidence?

Could be for all I know, Jim. I suppose it's them two on the first pic, if so they look like twins.

I know the issue of looking-alike between reincarnations has been beaten to death and there's valid reasoning for both sides, however human history isn't exactly a series of copies of people that look alike, recycling through the ages. That said however and taking my personal "incident" into account, I tend to think that sometimes we do come back looking very much like we did when there's a reason. Maybe it's unfinished business, maybe it's about taking another path this time instead and/or "make things right", maybe it's just that we liked or linked with that specific "vessel" so much last time and we wanna continue where/what we left off - or just enjoy looking "like that", silly as it seems. All this is just speculation from my side but cases like Jeffrey Keene/ John B. Gordon and such (I would add my case as well) seem to indicate there is some validity on the possibility of it happening.

Hi Kalos.

Its not just that Fry and Wilde look alike and are both gay. That's just the tip of the iceberg and the least interesting part of what I'm saying.

Both were in jail, although for different reasons.

Wilde suffered physical ailments and depression while Fry suffers a mental ailment.

Wilde was self conscious about his teeth. Fry doesn't like his looks.

Both like younger men.

Both are writers and use humour to express ideas, although Fry is also an actor and a presenter.

Both are erudite and witty.

Both have a sense of injustice.

Both have excellent diction.

The differences are interesting to.

Wilde was baptised a Catholic before his death and Fry is an atheist and humanist.

Fry can be openly gay unlike Wilde.

Wilde was an Irishman drawn to England. Fry is English.

If Fry is Wilde's current incarnation perhaps he looks like Wilde so as to have been destined to express his past life suffering to a more open-minded audience by playing Wilde?

There is another actress who some people have speculated might have played her past life self:

What do you think about all of this? Are they past life compulsions expressing themselves in our current time?

Without a doubt for me. I guess we're the sum of all our previous selves. I'm so much like that guy in this one PL I remember that if I were in his place I would act the same in all situations when I was his age. Funny thing is, I was in his place and acted like he did - which just proves me right. Heh it's funny isn't it.. being a little self-sarcastic here.

Now if you could ask him if HE would act the same living my current life AFTER I remembered, the answer is not quite. Strange as it may sound.

I can completely relate to that Kalos. Up until four years ago I behaved exactly the same as my immediate last life. I've written many times on this site of the parallels and similarities between myself and my past lives.

Some members say we are opposite in our lives and while I've been in various opposing situations the essence of who I am has remained consistent.

That's why I feel those two celebrity theories of past FPLs are so compelling to me. The soul may be in opposing situations, such as Fry being openly gay while Wilde had to hide it but the souls expressing themselves feels very similar to me.

Who knows, if someone ever remembers being in Wilde's company in a past life they may be able to confirm or reject my suspicions.

I do wonder what this means for the future though. People can now make full colour with sound comparisons between souls and their possible PLs.

If we had hi def interview footage of Wilde would we see the essence of Fry in his mannerisms and behaviour? I would assume that whoever is arranging such things on the other side would make such comparisons difficult, otherwise reincarnation would become common knowledge.
