Hello Everyone - I have questions...

It's great to be a part of the is unique community.

I'm not getting any younger and seems like the question of "What happens when we die?" has been knocking around in my head more than normal. Recently, I discovered the books from Michael Newton and Brian L. Weiss. To say that these are life changing books is an understatement.

After reading though several of the books, I still have questions and it brought me here. I hope that there are those in the community that have experienced things that I have questions regarding and can lend their answers and opinions.

Up front, I'll tell you that I'm pushing 50 and I don't believe that I've ever had a case of déjà vu or any experience that would make me believe that I've had a past life. I've never dreamt about the past and as much as I can remember, all of my dreams take place in the present time. It's quite possible that there were signs over the years, but I've just missed them. I think starting meditation may help with that.

That being said, I think that it's hard to argue with much of the research that has been done by Newton, Weiss, and Ian Stevenson & James Tucker. To that end, I do believe in reincarnation, but I want to correspond with all of you to get a more complete picture.

So, here are a few questions to start for those that have had past life regressions. I'm sure as the conversation opens, I'll have many more to add.

1. When going into a hypnotic state and into a past life regression, do you remember everything that was said after the session? I assume that you're either in Alpha or Theta under hypnosis, but how are are you of what's going on?

2. Has anyone here (on the forum) that has done a past life regression crossed over to the time frames in between lives (or the spirit world)?

3. How accurate is the information that "see" during a past life regression? Has anyone gone to Ancestry and attempted to look up their past lives? Or is the information sort of in the ball park; such as the names and dates may be close, but not exact in some instances.

Thank you all in advance for helping me with my awakening. I'm looking forward to the journey.

Welcome to the forum Rampart66, I'll try to address your questions from what I understand.

1. Usually, unless you have been instructed (or prefer) not to remember. And, you are usually provided an audio recording.

2. Yes there are reports of this in several books that I’ve read, and is usually described in NDE experiences like the one I posted earlier today.

Number three is beyond my remembered experience. Given the problems inherent with time being "different", language being inadequate, and not having a calendar and your name spoken or written during the regression, those kinds of determinations are difficult. My personal attempts at regression has been a failure so I can only offer what I've heard of or read.

The authors that you mention are good selections in my opinion. Others that I would suggest are Carol's books and Soul Survivor.

Hi Rampart66 I can only talk from my own experiences I do not believe in laying a foundation about reincarnation for one's self that is written in books by others.. I don't trust what they say because I'm not sure how much comes from there imaginations and how much comes from there own experiences.. so its impossible for us to know where there imaginations begins and ends in there writings Reincarnation is not about what is written or even the experiences of others.. its a very personal thing about yourself because that is what all of us are seeking what reincarnation is to us.. It's good to read and listen to the experiences of others but in the end you need to do it for yourself.. For me meditation is the engine the power house that leads you to your spiritual self where everything you want to know is.. You already know it all .. Rampart66 needs to access the knowledge you already have... I have never had a regression I have no need for them I do it all for myself.. In my opinion you need to develop the skills of meditation.. so you can be in contact with your spiritual self...understanding that your spiritual self is you but is separate to the physical you.. He is separate because he never dies he goes on and on leaving behind physical entities who did die and will never return..Physical reincarnation is impossible...never forget that.. You can claim your spiritual self once occupied x...y..z physical entities but they were never you the spiritual you not the spiritual you who's name is Peter.. I made that name up to show what I mean

Hi John, Ken & Rampart66
I too have recently read all of Weiss and Newtons books, and still trying to get my head around the "who is me" part of the connection between the soul and the physical body.
I would like to believe the "me" who is thinking about what to say here to you, and the "me" who has my thoughts and dreams, is the "me" who is my soul?
Certainly from Destiny of Souls - Newton appears to make it clear the physical brain which will eventually die, does indeed have thoughts of it's own, bad ones usually it seems, that the soul is always battling against. Hence the reason we have to keep reincarnation sometimes thousands of times to learn specific lessons. As the memory block is in place, there must be a constant battle between brain and soul which is why perhaps it takes thousands of years to for example get a hold on jealously for example, one I know I may have been battling a long time. Why would it be so hard, obviously a very inefficient system it would seem.

Thank you for the replies. One thing that I've always wondered about was which is our true nature - our conscience self (ego) or our spirit self. For example, when I reincarnate into my next life, would I pretty much have the same personality, just a different body and different surrounding & circumstances?

R66, I've heard it said that the human personality and the soul both have egos, I'm still trying to assimilate that into my version of reality. This might be just another semantics problem, but the thought of a soul having to deal with problems at that level is bothersome to me. A lot of us are comfortable with the idea of a "lifetime" being similar to a part in a play or movie where we assume the characteristics of an actor, so from that perspective, the characteristics that describe your next performance would probably be different unless of course you were excellent in one type of roll or so poor at it that you need to try again to get it right. Either way would be purposeful and not something that I think should be of concern .
The ego developed in this lifetime is certainly a part of the character that you are playing in this lifetime, and I believe that it remains with that part of the soul that returns to that side of the veil.

Hi Rampart66.. Once again I can only answer your questions from my own experiences.. I had a NDE after having a heart attack .. I have talked about that in detail before... but I will repeat myself to you in a
smaller version which I believe is relevant to your questions.. I was lying in bed hooked up to many machines... oxygen lines strapped to my nose drifting in and out of reality when a nurse came in and held my hand.. I lay there thinking how nice it was that she was doing that for me ..Its interesting I never felt scared or concerned about what was goiIng on.. it was all just something that was happening.. Then all of a sudden everything went to another level.. it was not a typical NDE..All of my senses went through the roof all of them.. just one example I could hear people talking at the nurse's station outside of the intensive care ward With everything that happened I believe I did in part cross over to my spiritual self and for a brief amount of time experienced in a small way what.. and as.. he experiences
Because of what I happened to me I believe the physical and spiritual share the same consciousness. and that is the connection between us .. Our spiritual selves has the abilities to use it probably to its fullest extent.. which I experienced to a certain degree.. Its interesting that I did not go on a magical journey through the light and see long dead relatives and friends,, I was still in my hospital bed but on a completely different level of existence.. I did in part cross over.. not to the afterlife but to my spiritual self.. later I understood he never dies but John Tat will.. so now I wonder is the afterlife a figment of human imagination.. there is no afterlife for physical entities.. just a 0place for our spiritual selves to go to when the physical no longer exists.. they are dead.. So in answer to your question my experiences tells me the physical entities our spiritual selves occupy will always share the same consciousness with who we really are our spiritual selves and that is the connection between spiritual and physical

All The Best

I changed the word to consciousness because I was confused between the two words
