Asian American recarnations

Being Asian American myself (Malaysian mom/American Dad) I'm wondering what my past life ethnicity would have been. Or maybe I'm just a new soul? I've been looking into recarnations a lot this week and this question has been on my mind a lot.

A slightly different topic, not quite ethnicity, is that of cultural background. In the present life the culture I belong to shares and overlaps with a past life culture, but there are significant differences between the culture into which I was born and my past-life culture.

One of the things which I've found useful as a clue in tracking down past lives is as I've chanced upon such things as music or traditions or ideologies to which I'm drawn, and which don't match my present circumstances. In that respect, the important thing was the discrepancies between present expectations, and the unexpected longings or familiarity and feeling comfortable with things outside.

Hi Lady,
Welcome to the forum.
I think you still have a lot to discover for yourself. As said above, reincarnation isn't limited to certain cultures. Some people tend to reincarnate a lot within one area, while others roam around the globe and pop up in all kinds of ethnicities and cultures.

I'd agree with speedwell though.. I'd look for being drawn to things that aren't native to you now, but you have an affinity for. My two biggest were Chinese and English culture, but I never really thought about either of them as a past life, until I narrowed it down. the funny thing was I didn't like Han Chinese culture and I didn't realize I was drawn to Manchu culture instead. And now I'm in America and just white lol.

I'm just saying that to say I agree again, there's many reasons why people are where they are. I would just assume that you had a past life (I think everyone has and multiple ones) and just keep an open mind about it and keep learning. You're probably more on the track already than you realize.
