Am I An Old Soul

Recently I had a guy old enough to be my father try flirting with me online. Obviously I have no interest in him since he is so much older then me. This has got me wondering though if I might be an old soul and that's why he was showing interest in me. It cant be that I look older then I actually am because most people actually say I look young for my age. I'm 29 but most people look at me and think I'm about 16 or 18. I never thought of myself as mature though. I can be very emotional and act like a kid sometimes. Also I just watched a youtube video on signs of an old soul and though I'd say I'm smart the other signs don't really fit me.

Hi, can't say. Maybe you are just his type ? I have my own little theory that we are all old souls but wise in different fields and unwise in others. This because sometimes people surprise me with being a mix of things, and I suppose I am the same in a way, but it is difficult to view one self.

Occam's Razor: if you look like a teenager and a man old enough to be your father flirts with you online, it's because he's attracted to young women who are (or look like) teenagers. If he was the one who mentioned "old soul" to you as an explanation for his interest, my advice would be to stop interacting with him, especially if you are not interested. That is classic "grooming" behavior that is intended to make a younger target feel more comfortable with uninvited attention.

I don't personally put much stock in the idea of "old souls." It seems like just another way for people to slot themselves into a hierarchy, and I'm highly suspicious of anyone claiming to be "spiritually superior" due to some ineffable, innate characteristic. Enlightenment is demonstrated in right thought and action, by my lights--how long a soul may or may not have been experimenting in physical reality seems irrelevant. After all, some people have to repeat classes in school so many times that they are much older than their peers when they finally graduate. Do we generally consider them the best students? Given how little we actually know about reincarnation and the nature of time and reality, I find the concept of "old souls" relatively uncompelling. Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

Excellent post on the topics at issue. BTW--My general rule is that if someone thinks they are an "old soul" (in the usual sense that this term is used), they probably are not. There are always exceptions of course, but it seems to me that if you have to ask, you ain't.

Crescent I never seen it that way but you got a point that soul age is just another way of grouping people. I was only curious if I was an old soul because an older guy had interest in me but it could also be that he was only showing interest in me so he could take advantage of me. Luckily I blocked him because as I stated earlier he is old enough to be my dad and I'm not interested.

GalaxyDreamer90, Not knowing much about you other than what you posted here I can't say. Soul ages has nothing to do with ones actual age as we understand it as human beings as soul is eternal by nature; but rather the stage of spiritual development a soul is at in terms of how we related to the physical plane while incarnated and our spiritual development in terms of how we see ourselves. others, and our relationship with the world both on the inner dimensions and our outer one here on the physical plane, god and with spirit. These stages of development are levels of consciousness we all go thru during our many soul journeys upon the earth plane and the cycles of reincarnations which is a process of how consciousness itself evolves over time.

The vast majority of souls on this planet are at present shifting from a later young soul stage of development into a early mature soul level on a global scale. Which is why there is so much change happening on planet earth at present. There are small pockets of infants, baby and old souls scattered everywhere on planet earth. However realize we are only one small planet among billions of other planets in other solar systems throughout the milky way galaxy and within the physicals universe.
