Hi, first time poster here. I originally wanted to ask about 2 of my kids, but have found clarification during my own past life regression regarding my youngest.

My son has always been plagued by night terrors. It started as inconsolable screaming at 12 or so months. Nothing would comfort him. Around 3 his night terrors turned into sleep walking. He frantically runs around the house saying "mom! Mom!" His eyes are open amd full of panic. If I call out to him, he comes to me, but upon seeing me, turns and continues his search. The only thing that has ever brought him comfort is me carrying him around the house and talking sweetly to him.

Some time during his 5 year, he started telling me about the man in black who came during these times.

He is also horrified by the shadows of the blinds on the walls. ("There are squares on my walls and they wont go away") before I put drapes in the windows, during his episodes he would stare at the squares on the wall and cry in panic.

I dont know if its too late to ask him about it. He never remembers his dreams. He has always been well advanced as far as intellect and understanding things beyond his years. He used to tell me all kinds of stories and I dismissed them, thinking they were fantasy. I hope I havent missed my opportunity to help him through this.

    Hi welcome to forum

As I heard, not to wake up sleepwalkers, so you might want to observe what he's doing during this time, but try to protect him from banging, bumping & falling

Maybe next time ask him who is the man in black, if he knows him, how he looks like? But dont force it.

If he sees the squares & in panic, ask him why is he scared of the squares? What does he see? Maybe it reminds him a place with such covered windows

Write journals whatever he said, just everything incl those that u think have no sense or just fantasy & ask him fishing questions to get more details to get some more clues.

    Hi Kendrah

    Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like past life memories to me. This is pretty common. You are doing the best thing possible, which is just love and comfort him when he gets upset. Have you seen Carol's book? The first chapter is here. Might be worth a look? You are not alone.

They have been on the low side, but they are creeping back in. I hate to say it, but the man in black dreams are back. I wish I had the means to have someone help him through this. I do past life regression on myself with great success, but I am worried about trying with him. I wouldnt wamt to do more harm than good.

My toddler also may have a troubled passed life. She has always been afraid of sleep and seems plagued by something. I know from my own passed life experience that she was born to me before, but I died giving birth to her. I would love some direction for either case if there is any to be had. Love to all

    Hi Kendrah,

You can contact Carol Bowman directly if you feel your son and daughter needs help. And of course even for yourself. I know when I was having a lot of experiences, my children would spontaneously have them too. The mother child bond is deep. Carol writes about it in her first book. If you would like I can contact Carol for you, or alert her to this thread.

Debroah- I would like that more than you know. My son's episodes are disturbing, but my daughter's are wearing me out. I feel like I am at the end of my rope for her. She sleeps so little and hates going to sleep. She fights with all of her being to not sleep. I am lucky if she sleeps 9-10 hours in a day and it just keeps getting worse. Thank you

My son doesnt want to sleep either, but if i carry him in my arm & walk around the house he fell asleep immediately at latest 5 mins later.

Maybe u can try this & try not to feed them 4-5 hrs before sleep, sometimes this causes them discomfort in tummy & chest while laying. Also try pillows to lift up theirchest higher than tummy for easy breathing in caseslow digestion

Man in black could b a ninja?

Kendrah - I would suggest you call Carol directly. Tell her I sent you. ;) 610-566-3870 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST. Or email - Carol@Carolbowman.com
Do either of your children draw yet? With crayons? Sometimes children will draw what they remember and you can ask questions about the images they draw. If you are having experiences it could be triggering your children's memories. Carol can help guide you through it.

There are a lot of cultures that wear black, some gangs and some religions. Don't suggest or show them these images - keep an open mind and let them tell you or show you in drawings.

I didn't want to intrude into this thread but I fell compelled to do so...Kendrah... What you have described about your sons sleep walking eyes open and screaming out in terror is exactly what happened to me as a young child... A long time ago on this forum I report a repeating nightmare I had as a young child that turned out to a memory of being killed during WWII in an American fighter plane I'm now 73 years old and the memory's of that nightmare are still indelible in my brain...They started when I was around four years old and ended when I was around ten What I will pass on I have never talked about to anyone but I think you need to know and understand how it is for your son... Both my mother and father told me later in life the way I was screaming terrified them... They could not wake me up.. Like you my mother would hold me and try to comfort me... none of which I can remember happened..just as your son probably does not either.. My parents were at wits end because when I began it went on and on... then one night they decided to leave me alone.. they said we no longer knew what to do.. so they kept an eye on me and just let me go... And low and behold I came out of it much quicker than I had ever done before
so that's what they did from then on... Even though I was young as I said its all indelible in my brain.. After I woke up they would ask me what I was dreaming about and I told them the truth I was really scared Mom... there was a lot of noise.. that's all I told them and it was the truth.. that's all I understood It was only years later as I began to gradually understand what happened during the nightmare I began to understand what was happening to me during the nightmare.... in the end I had a complete understanding of what happened...
For me my experience is proof of a couple of things... children can and do have memories of he previous incarnations of there spiritual selves... after my experience its likely nearly all children have them to some degree.. but its only the violent ones which would only be a fraction of them that come under notice
The following is very important...my experience is proof that while children can have these memories a young immature brain does not have the capacity to comprehend even slightly complicated memories
I don't know how that could be disputed especially by those who have never had them... So its important not to harass them.. my parents never interrogated me about the dream... they just asked.. leave the kid alone during and after... he has gone through enough believe me.. My parents leaving me alone is a sign a kid is better off left alone during the nightmare.. and after I found a way on my own... as your son will.. my parents turned out to be part of the problem of it going on and on.. In my opinion.... DON"T WITH HIM TRY TO AND FIND OUT WHAT HE IS DREAMING ABOUT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES... BECAUSE HE DOESN'T"T KNOW..don't under any circumstances plant in his mind things they could be when they are not if you do you will only make it far worse for him..you searching for what he is dreaming about is a farce they can never be right... all you will do is make it far worse for him... I read these articles about how they need help believe me they don't you are only going to make it worse.. he in time will work it out for himself... This is coming from someone who has vivid memories of what happens.. not theory's and speculations of those who have never had them... I don't know with your son but most times when I was going to bed I would know if I was going to have a nightmare... My brain was not right and I could feel it... I did't want to go to sleep.. there is plenty more but that's enough..I hope I have been of some help

    Regards

    John,

Healing is the MOST important element of past life recall. Especially for children with night terrors and traumatic recall. Carol Bowman, Ian Stevenson and Jim Tucker all have case after case where this is true. Who they were is not as important as the healing. So I have added that your post in bold is your opinion. As a member you can post your opinion, but you're not a therapist, counselor or researcher to state something as factual or to scare her because of your experience. Have you read Carol's books? They apply to adults as well.

Hi Deborah... Yes it was my opinion but my opinion is based on very solid facts.. Not the least being.. if he did understand what he was dreaming about he would tell his mother just as I would have.. There would be no need to question him get him draw things or take any other steps all of which are nothing more than educated inquiry about the unknown

    Regards

    HI John,

I believe opinions are based on personal experience. I also think each person's experience is unique. So no one should compare their experience with others and claim them as a fact. Although there may be similarities, it's really not a fact that your experience is the baseline for others whose experiences do not match yours........ or mine for that matter. ;o) Also, working with children is a very delicate thing and should be handled with care, patience and an open mind.
