    BABY_RN_Please, read this.

I have just started reading this thread today and a few moments ago got to the moment where baby_rn says that her son talks about being Irish. Some posts before that someone sent her two links referring to the man this person thought could be her son's previous incarnation. I left these pages open, I also read them and I had remembered that this man was of Irish descendant. Did you read these articles, baby_rn? The guy in the picture strikes me as such a wonderful, warm and kind man. Also - he started dreaming about becoming a fire fighter at 4 years old ...

If you have already figured that out, then I'm sorry but I felt and immediate urge to register and post here as soon as possible.

These are the two links: http://www.oneescape.com/inmemoriam/Profiles/Folders/D_Folder/Dowdell_Kevin.html

    http://fallenbrothers.com/community...king-son-relished-his-work-as-NYC-firefighter

The second article says: "The Dowdells, a large Irish-American family" and also "When his brother, Chris, 55, the oldest Dowdell, organized a group of 60 to take a trip to Ireland, it was Kevin who met the Colorado contingent during a layover at Kennedy Airport. Kevin and his sons' pipe band led them on a half-mile march across two concourses, stopping traffic."

The first article mentions him wearing a kilt: "More time with the boys, plus he gets to march in the parade, wearing his kilt."

What do you think? I really think your son was Kevin Dowdell.

Did you tell your son that all these things had happened in the past life and that now he is not a firefighter anymore? But he may become one in the future if he wants to?

P.S. His sons followed in his footsteps, one (PATRICK) is a U.S. Army officer now and the other (James) is a fire fighter: http://www.911familiesforamerica.org/?p=745

Patrick is captain now. Ever since I read Kevin Dowdell's son's name was Patrick it has been ringing in my head. I can't stop thinking about it.

My intuition is very good but right now I'm not sure what it is - is it my intuition or imagination. But I just feel very strongly that the name of Patrick had to be mentioned. So I did it just in case.

    All the best,

    Venetian

Wow! It's kind of eerie .... But I'm watching a movie right now and ..... the lines in it are: When I think about my life all I can remember is work, only work, I worked all the time .... And the other person answers: You worked to save other people's lives .... (wow!!!!!!!!)

Also during reading the forum (about an hour ago or more) in this same movie when I was pondering something deeply I heard the lines: If only I could remember who I was so that I could figure out what I'm doing here and what's happening to me .......

Well, okay, I;m not really watching, the TV's on and I;m reading the forum but these lines caught my attention nonetheless.

What do you think about it, guys?

Yes, it does sound like he was Kevin, doesn't it? Maybe Baby_RN and the other parents of 9-11 babies should contact one or more of the survivors groups. Just copy (or print) everything that has been said here. Let them think about it and see if any of the families want to know more. It may also be helpful for Baby_RN to contact the Leninger's. Carol may be able to help facilitate if you are interested. Carol was the one who advised the Leninger's on what to do when James was having his night terrors. This case is so similar to the Leninger boy. I would like to see a book about this boy someday. I also think seeing these cases helps the public to start thinking about the possibility of reincarnation.

I realize it has been over 3 years since you posted this, I have no idea if you are still on here. I have never joined a forum before but I simply had to offer feedback regarding this post of yours. I read all of them hopping someone would have offered the possibility i am thinking of, but they haven't.

In an earlier post you said:

"Then he preceeded to tell me how I taght him how to catch sharks and tag them...he said i looked different then and then laughed!"

Is it possible that you were in his (old) life when he was younger and passed away before you we're born into this life? Perhaps when he passed away suddenly the question of who's "belly" to come back to was a "no brainier" for him? Maybe he is hanging on to the importance you have to him, across all lives, and doesn't want to be in heaven without you.

There is a lot of speculation here, but I would be curious to know who he was just to find out who you were to him in the past life. Not to stir things up with the family he left behind, but rather to understand the dynamics of your relationship across 2 life times.

Maybe you were a mentor to him and now he is eager to teach you?

My husband's granddaughter was born in NYC in January of 2002. I once asked her what her first memory was, and she said, "I was in a government building, and it was on fire.".

In an unrelated anecdote, when she was about three, she told me that there was an old lady in her apartment who'd sit on the sofa with her and watch television. That really freaked out her parents!

Maybe Oklahoma City?? There was another family on here who had a child from the Oklahoma City bombing. The woman who watched TV with her sounds like a baby-sitter.

Could be. I was thinking the Pentagon, but Oklahoma City makes sense too.

No, there was no babysitter. That's why her parents were so freaked out when I told them!

I'm years late in posting this, but I decided to write any way in case someone else needs it.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for sharing their stories. Amazing stuff, and very interesting to read. Also, thank you for letting me join your form.

I wanted to say to Baby rn. I think the website that kept popping up on your computer and playing the music has a picture of who your son used to be. I had a look through the missing FDNY and there were quite a few viable candidates. If you still have your son's brigade and badge number then it should be very easy to figure out.

What I came here to say is, I think it is vital for you to find who he was, not for contacting the family of that man (unless you were comfortable in that) but for both you and your son.

Any information you get about his past life could help him in this one, even if it is only a comfort. I feel that the more information you have, the better armed you are to help your son (and yourself). His past life is a big presence in both yours and his current life.

It would also help you to understand him. You could keep the information just between the two of you. Or even keep it to yourself and pass it to your son when he is older and you feel he is ready.

I do hope you decide to find his old life and that it helps bring closure in this life for you both.

All my love to your family. Your story touched my heart and made me feel hopeful about the future. Thank you.

    Frankie.

**quick edit to say please don't worry about going on or 'ranting' in your posts everyone! Every time I got to the end of a post I wished there was more in it, instead of an apology for talking too much :)

I pray your son is able to move on from his trauma, or not be afraid to explore the truth of his own experiences. You seem very protective and loving. I hope that you are well.

I saw an episode on Bio about the little boy who was the reincarnation of a fireman who died on 911, which led me to this forum and this thread. What an awesome mom that little fellow has.

I read the thread and am absolutely amazed at how much information the child remembers.

With that said, I did a little investigation and found this very interesting.

You will see that David and Michael were best friends. David was 33 years old and they were on Engine 33, which is a fire/rescue engine (as shown by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City_Fire_Department_casualties_of_the_September_11_attacks i.e. - 1 Lt and 4 paramedics on board and the names broken down: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_workers_killed_in_the_September_11_attacks ).

Also interesting to me is this from 2010 where he and his unit were used as a source on structural fires in a book written for firemen - I lost that link, but you can google David Acre and find that link.

Here is information about David and his best friend Mike:

    http://books.google.com/books?id=jF...EwDg#v=onepage&q=David Arce Engine 33&f=false

Even if it is not him, it has been humbling to read about the sacrifice and lives of these two. God Bless.

Thanks for the links and welcome to the forum. Yes, there are some amazing stories here. Take your time and look at the old messages, video archives, book list, etc. Do you or your children have any memories that could be past life related?

No, but I am fascinated by it and have been for years. When I was younger I actually went through a past life regression seminar and although I am not sure how to digest what the hypnotist brought out in my session, I can see how it could be so. For instance, I have a fear of "dark" water such as in a lake or river and in my session it came out that I was a small boy that died in the turn of the century in a shipwreck. My Baptist beliefs shut that down and I didn't return; however, it has been there in the back of my mind forever. Then I saw the show on Bio.

Since that pilot episode on Bio there have been 3 new episodes. Have you seen them? I think they are blocked from YouTube at present but you might watch for them on Bio. The program is called "Ghost Within My Child". People here in the forum wish they had chosen a better name.

    St. Patrick's Day Connection...

I know that this post is years old now buti just read the entire thread today and am beyond intrigued. It seems that baby snag hasn't been on lately but I thought id share a bit of info I found in case nobody else had seen it yet. In earlier posts baby rn talks about her son showing an interest in st. Patricks day and irish heritage. I also saw other people speculating on who this boy was and one name that kept resurfacing was Kevin Donnelly. I decided to look into Kevin a bit and there defintely are some stricking similarities. Kevin was a liuetenant and was irish and had other irish ties one thing that really struck me though was that Kevin was buried the day after St. patricks day...perhaps this is why the young boy herewas fascinated with st. Pattys day (besides the fact that kevin seemed very into his irish roots). Just thought id share what I found. Here is the link I found with that info...

    More on Kevin Donnelly

I have found some more striking similarities between Kevin Donnelly and the things your son says. First, kevin was a lifeguard (could explain why he loves to try to "rescue" your "drowning" daughter). Also some people marched in a St. patricks day parade in NYC in kevins honor (another connection to why your son likes st.patricks day). Finally, your son has spoke of his fireman buddy mike and while perusing Kevin's guestbook on Legacy I found an entry from a fireman named Mike Duignan who says he was taught by Kevin and Kevin gave him the nickname "Big Mike". Perhaps when your son is in the zone you could ask about Big Mike and see what kind of reaction you get. I don't know how interested you are in really finding out his past identity but I have a good feeling its Kevin. I understand your hesitent about contacting any feeling but someone in am earlier post mentioned sending an anonymous letter. I think this is a good idea. Perhaps you could type a letter to the ladder 3 that he worked at just saying some of the things your son has said and that the name Kevin Donnelly was repeatedly brought up or maybe there is someone else who matches the description. Anyways you could write in the letter that you understand it might sound crazy and you are leaving it up to them on what they want to do. You could even make a new email address just for this. Something annonymous similar to baby rn. You don't need to put any return address or your name just the email address and let them know that you understand rather they do or don't decide to contact back. This way you are still anonymous and the decision is completely up to them. They may either think you are a nut and toss the letter or someone may believe in this just a little and decide to investigate it more. Please keep us posted with your decisions and any new developments!

Another option is take the boy to the fire station and let him look around. Show him pictures of "Mike" and the other firefighters he worked with. Have you watched any episodes of the "Ghost Within My Child" program on Bio? This is what many of the families do who accept that it could be a past life memory. It seems to comfort and bring closure to the child.

    Baby rn

I have read your posts about your child's past life and it intrigued me to find out more I have searched on the internet 9/11 rescue 3 and happened Find a rescue firefighter that sounded quite similar to how your child described himself to be.

Here is the writing from the page.

Gerry Schrang was a 20 year veteran of F.D.N.Y.

With his loss, a tremendous amount of experience was also lost. Gerry had worked in some of the busiest companies in the F.D.N.Y.

Gerry's career started on East Tremont Ave. in the Bronx in Engine Co. 45. Years later, fire duty began to move west across the Bronx, so did Gerry. Gerry transferred to Engine Co. 75 and later moved across the floor to the the truck, Ladder Co. 33. After years in one of the busiest fire houses in the world, Gerry continued to search for something more. He then transferred to Rescue Co. 3.

Gerry had also volunteered many, many years of his life the Holbrook Volunteer F.D. on Long Island where he held all ranks including Chief of the Department.

Gerry had a great love for the outdoors, the fire service and his family.

Gerry leaves his wife and two children.
