Many times in such discussions as these, there is always the mention of a beginning - where we broke off originally from the source and become an extension of this energy, acting out individually - then from there, the soul proceeds to go through its many progressions and incarnations, until eventually it reaches the ultimate goal - enlightenment - and is able to, once again, rejoin with the source.

It is after this cycle, we then speculate on what could possibly come next...and my simple guess is, if we are in a continuous cycle and we come from the source in the "beginning" and then return to it again at the "end", then surely the next stage would be the "beginning" again. Once this cycle becomes continuous and eternal, we can never begin to distinguish either the beginning or the end, because a cycle only has motion...with no breaks.

    Other Sources for Consideration

Madame Helena Blavatsky is thought to have been one of the main people behind the popularisation of reincarnation and it’s many theories in the West, during the late 1800’s. Below is a small excerpt and quote from Blavatsky on the notion of the eternal nature of souls.
