    Hey,
I’m curious if anyone here has brought any ‘defects’ from a past life.
For example: I read somewhere that someone remembered being shot in the heart in a past life, then in this life they were born with a hole in their heart.
Let me know if you guys have any, or if you know of anyone who does :)

Got gassed a few times during WWI, both intentionally in the trenches and unintentionally when the gas drifted in our rest billets of the front
I get sick when I smell chlorine, even just a drop is enough ever since I can remember and can't handle much pressure on my throat, get the feeling that I'm choking and have astma (learned to manage that without inhaler since I don't know how long) that I think is a carry over from WWI although the napalm from Nam wasn't exactly friendly on the lungs either....

I can relate to feeling sick by smelling certain things. I absolutely can’t smell cigarettes or alcohol (specifically beer) without becoming super nauseous and getting a massive headache. I’m not sure where this stems from either, since I haven’t dealt with anything like that in this life that would trigger that reaction.

I have a birthmark on my back where the flame-thrower got me. I also have a twist in the spine at the same point, which has been painful all my life.

As in like a scoliosis sort of thing?
I was born with a heart disorder/ defect that’s really affected me and my life. Had surgery about 5 months ago. It’s hereditary though, so I don’t think it’s past life related, but my heart “issues” seem to be worse than my dad & sister. I actually think I started having a sort of “awakening” since the surgery, my beliefs totally changed and I felt way more open and connected to the “spiritual” side of things. It’s been an interesting time.

I have a birthmark in a place I was once shot. I suspect there is a past life reason for my bad knee as well, though I have not yet found it.

Yes, Kenz, scoliosis. As a child, I couldn't bear to be touched there, although touching didn't actually hurt it. My parents didn't even find out about the scoliosis for years, as I never mentioned a problem.

Health or body issues? Yes, but not necessarily PL-related. Birthmarks: same. Liver spots all over my torso and arms. One or two in my face even.
I had knock-knees and needed a surgery as a child. Bad things happen.
Some year ago, I got a strange skin disease. Began with an itching spot between there and there, eventually my legs and torso were itching, too, and then, in a matter of days, I got boils all over my hands and couldn't move them anymore. I had to stay in hospital for two weeks. Probably caused by zinc deficiency, and it went away and never returned. Strange, but happens. Skin problems are common in my family.
I seem to get colds and such relatively often, but here I'd rather blame lifestyle or genes than PLs, too.
I sometimes feel pain in my bones for absolutely no reason, but I also sometimes feel things that aren't there, because I do not have them in this life.
OK, pain in the bones you get when you are really old. In at least two lives I remember (fragments of) I could have reached such an age. But not each single thing must be connected to a PL.
Colds... I could construct a connection here to a life where I most likely died of tuberculosis. But I'd rather say it means nothing.
The other two I can't connect. If they mean anything at all.

Have you considered getting surgery? My cousin had the exact same thing, and had surgery for it. He said a lot of the pain has diminished since then.

Not likely! I was offered it, but why risk my life for something that might help me but might also leave me worse off? Besides, hospitals terrify me.

I’m sorry you’ve gone through that, that sounds like something that would be very hard to cope with.

I was born with a thing called flexible flatfoot. Basically my foot doesn’t really have much of an arch. Used to affect me really bad as a kid, since I played a bunch of sports and it would cause horrible aching pains. I use inserts sometimes but it doesn’t seem to affect me as badly now. I’m not sure if that’s even past life related, but no one in my family has it and it’s supposedly hereditary.

That makes sense. My cousin had it real bad, they couldn’t even fix it all the way. He still has a curve in his back but not as bad.

Not that hard. The specialist said the surgery was necessary, because otherwise I would get severe problems with my back as an adult. Was long ago. And like with your feet, isn't necessarily connected to a PL, even though no one in my family had this. Not everything is PL-related. Many things CAN be connected to a PL, but not everything is. Impossible to tell without matching memories.

Well, you started an interesting thread there, Kenz. Here we all are discussing our ailments, something I very rarely do in life!

I have really bad sight in one of my eyes from birth, the other is perfect. Ever since i learned about the subject of PL's i wondered if its something i have brought with me.

When i smell cigarette smoke i find it pleasant, it gives me a strange feeling, like a longing for it or some time i am unaware of (I've never smoked and my parents don't/never did).

It could be, but as seekerofknowledge said, you’ll never know without the memories. Maybe if and when you remember more things about your PL, it’ll clear some things up.

Interesting how you actually enjoy the smell of cigarettes hahaha
I’ve never smoked either and my parents haven’t (not that I know of at least).

Past life defects? What an interesting topic!

Regarding scoliosis, interestingly enough, @Kenz1010 and @tanker , that is something I suffered from, a lot. I was offered surgery but in the end it's chiropractic sessions here in Asia that helped me.

I am very prone to back issues due to my height (I'm over 6'4" -1m91). I also have a tendency to block a specific verterbra, in my spine, that causes a total loss of flexibility. Interestingly enough I have a huge mark on it, as I had surgery to remove a small melanoma right on it and the heal of this scar went terribly wrong.

That is something I do not dare investigate but I have had several dreams about being a kid, in Algeria, running away and being shot right in this spot, in the back.
