    Hi Kaye,

I'm really glad to hear from you, but very sorry to hear about your situation. However, I do hope that it can be the door into something even better. I'm tempted to observe that not being held up with making a living would leave you free to do some things that I would love to see you be able to do freely--i.e., write, share and teach. However, I recognize the missing ingredient in that as well as you do = money or livelihood (if preferred). Plus, losing your voice is no great help either.

In terms of work, I can't deny being blessed by, among a host of other things, being able to live in a 1st world country with a lot of freedom, conveniences and opportunities--including the opportunity to work. However, I just wish that the constant grind of making ends meet didn't seem to prevent me from doing so many other things that seem more important. OTOH, as I am basically a "freelancer" I really miss it when new business/jobs stop coming in (and the holidays are unfortunately my very worst season), so we're just "holding on by our fingernails" at the moment and hoping for things to improve in the next few weeks.

Also, though I appreciate what John has said, it turns life into one long multiple choice exam. This makes me look back on my life as one where I'm not even making a "passing" grade and most likely only dragging along with 50% or less of my choices being correct. However, in terms of "choices" and which way to go now, I doubt your situation has gone unnoticed by those who "monitor" you from the Light. I have to think that they will shed light on the way forward and the right choices, though you may have to seek this. Also, I would not be surprised if one day you look back and see all of this as part of some larger and wider plan that you did not comprehend at the time--something meant to benefit you and others. It would be wonderful if all of this opened up a "right" choice that led to something even better.

    Cordially,
    S&S

Hi Kayle, you and I never wrote each other but reading of your situation I feel so sorry for you and hope it works out. Where I live everyone pay up to a certain amount when buying medication ( all medication for children are free ), and it is free of charge of scans, x-rays, and everyone pays the same amount which is heavily reduced from what it really costs when seeing a doctor. And this up too to a certain amount and then one has a free card for a period of time. Hospital staff is always obliged to give people emergency-help, we do not have an insurance-thing, but I learned that in the US people have to have that or a hospital can refuse to help you. Everything is paid for in the tax-system we have. In Denmark if you see the doctor it is free of charge for example (but still in the tax system). Of course, our countries has our faults too, such a lottery. For you to go through all that expensive things and be fired on top of everything sounds so cruel. I too of course hope for your improvement and for everything to work out for you !

On a side note why I peeked into this thread to start with was because the thought has come to me that memories from a past life ( that ended very badly so I rather not visit them freely ) that me and my then husband started out as Cathars. But because I don't remember anything beside me being shocked over how low status females had in the new village we came to ( which after some research and much help from this forum came to the conclusion that it was most likely in Italy ), so no wisdom besides that females and male were equals, is remembered then if I was a Cathar one time. I also claimed we came from Bulgaria. It was the way some clothes were that I had seen in my experienced memories during meditation that fit into how they were dressed on paintings etc on Cathars and those around, but maybe others were dressed like that too, I don't know. Because I was living in the witch-trial-era which got real personal it is a life I avoid if and when it tries to show up during meditation. But I remember the feeling as if I felt as if my husband betrayed where we came from, our true beliefs and tried to melt in and accept the low status women had in that village, all in the name of God ( Christianity ), read fear.

    Hi Jaimie,

Bulgarians came to Italy starting fairly early in the Christian era. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgarians_in_Italy) Bogomilism was largely ascribed to Bulgaria and Bulgarians. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogomilism). There does seem to be some differences of opinion as to whether Catharism was a direct off-shoot of Eastern European Bogomilism or was an independent indigenous Western European movement that was strongly aligned with and influenced by Bogomilism. Either way, the two were very, very similar if not the same. In Italy as elsewhere in Europe, the movement was strongly persecuted. There is a very good article about this here: https://www.novinite.com/articles/128890/Bulgaria,+Bogomils+and+Italy

I had always associated the Cathers with Origen of Alexandria who was Egyptian Preist, and was holding onto the reincarnation beliefs that were being excluded by the Church. It is strange to me to feel the anger that I must have had at another time in my life to have it echo in this one. I've read too much to try and make inquires into past lives about it, not knowing if I experienced it or read it somewhere. But, I've always been leery of Paul/Saul since before I started this lifetime.

    Hi Jaimie,

You should link in your thread from that lifetime, just for general interest and information. Also, one of the things that struck me in the last article is that it mentions the custom of taking trips to the mountains for inspiration. I recall that you specifically mentioned this in your thread on that lifetime (well in advance of the time when I came across this article--a nice confirmation). ;)

    Hi Ken,

It is so hard to know what happened in those early years and how Paul/Saul (or the Origenists) fit into it. However, I don't really see that what I think of as the Esoteric Egalitarian branch of Christianity represented by Bogomilism/Catharism and their successors, OR the Exoteric Imperial branch of Christianity with power centers in Constantinople, Rome, and elsewhere held onto the full essence and purity of the original message. So, the issue may be moot either way.

Christ warned of the dangers of trying to put the "New Wine" into old wineskins, yet that is the way it has always worked. We try to fit what we have received into the context of our preexisting beliefs. The original Jewish believers tried to fit it into their context of Jewish legalism under the Mosaic Law. This problem is addressed in the New Testament, and didn't last very long. The Gentiles then did their best to fit it into their preexisting paradigms. The Greeks were perhaps the most benign in their influence, as they merely sought to understand it in the context of their own philosophical beliefs, particularly Neo-Platonism. (Origen was part of this). However, they were soon quashed and assimilated by the dominant and control minded Romans (who by that time had divided the empire in two with its primary surviving power base in Constantinople). As far as I can tell, the Imperial Christianity of the Latins/Romans has become the basis of the current Orthodox, Roman, and Protestant "flavors" we know today. However, alongside this development of the more hierarchical exoteric stream of Christianity, it appears that there was a countervailing stream of egalitarian esoteric teachings and believers that survived in the Eastern Roman Empire and beyond. However, while purer in many ways, I do not see this strand as being unaffected by the hands and minds through which it passed. They seem to have been greatly impacted by, and sought to fit their faith into, the "wineskin" formed by the ancient Dualism of the East (Zoroastrian and otherwise) as well as including some random Gnostic elements. Christianity is certainly susceptible to interpretations congruent with these teachings, but not without distortion IMO.

Unfortunately, the dialectical clash (thesis vs. antithesis) between the Imperial Exoteric and the Egalitarian Esoteric (which are once again my own way of looking at these two) when they finally met did not arrive at a benevolent synthesis of the best features of both. It did result in some reforms in the former, which found itself shamed by the selfless purity of many of the best of the latter. However, for the forces of the egalitarian/esoteric stream of Christianity represented by the Bogomils and Cathars, there was only brutal annihilation. The erasure of these movements amounted to such a complete and thorough extirpation that we do not today even have trustworthy and reliable samples of their full teachings. The more mystical may never have never been committed to writing, however, even with this proviso it is a shame that so little has survived.

In terms of Paul/Saul, I do not really know how much influence he had on the Cathars/Bogomils as I have read contradictory things on this. Some posit a strong connection between Bogomilism/Catharism and Marcionism, which extolled the Pauline teachings. There are definitely some common elements, so I can understand the arguments. Others see a strong connection to the Apostle John and the Johannine School of early Christianity (contra Paul). Once again, there are definitely some arguments for this. Likewise the Origenists and others. So much is lost to us historically speaking. We may never be able to ferret out the answers to all of these questions.

From what I've read, the Church banned Origen and sought to destroy all his writings - which sounds pretty damning to me.

When I read that I heard a voice inside saying "Yeah, they murdered us" - strange, even to me now.

The Paul/Saul thing was a more personal thing. I don't know if I was involved in the dispute in taking Jesus' teaching into churches rather than the way Amish and some others still do, or I personally had other issues directly with him in his lifetime - maybe both!

    Hi Ken,

You're definitely correct that the "Imperial Exoteric" branch declared Origen a heretic and sought to destroy much of the foundation that he laid. However, though I suspect a direct connection between Origen and the Egalitarian Esoteric branch (including Cathars et al.) I can't prove it except by the fact that the Origenists (though possibly not Origen himself) believed in reincarnation. (On the last point, we know that Origen believed in pre-existence, but his primary work only exists in a bowdlerized form, so we can't definitely prove his belief in reincarnation from anything he wrote). However, his most prominent students and successors definitely did, which proves the point to me.

On Paul/Saul, I think your intuitions, feelings about things, and personal animus are really interesting. I wish you could get to the bottom of this, because I think it would open some doors into things that happened during the apostolic period that need to be opened. (You know what a fanatic I am about that type of thing ;)). I also think that your inner "voice"--coming as it did is reflective of some direct involvement and probable martyrdom in the period being discussed.

PS--In my searching for Cathar related materials I came across Eowyn's account of a Cathar lifetime, which is quite interesting. You may want to check it out. (So, there are probably quite a few on this board--knowingly or unknowingly--who were there).

    Hi Jaimie,

The photo that you often use from the 1920s lifetime is so shadowed that it is hard to really make out the face. Do you think the image you are using now is a better or more representative likeness? Just curious.

    Hi Sea & Sky !

When ever I have seen myself from my past lives I tend to have long-shaped faces, quite thick hair, a mix of curly and straight. I have not seen how my past life from the 1920's eyes were, the shape of them, more than her man comparing them to the eyes of a horse, which I think can make them quite big, perhaps. I suspect that is the the case how other people reacted when I was just looking up or looking at them, that one can't hide the eyes. In another past life I did have big eyes and was for a time with a jealous partner. I had to look down or so because again when I looked at people it was really visible that I did that so I think I was aware of that. I have heard in good and bad that a lot of my expression goes into my eyes, but I am thinking perhaps it would have been less visible if they were smaller, I don't know.

About the skin color of the 1920's I am insecure. I think my past life mother was mix race with not so dark skin and her father had white skin and dark hair. For me it is hard to say because when I have seen her flickering by with her hands etc it could very well have been during summer time which could explain that she either a little sunburned or that that was her natural skin color. I don't know where they drew the line in America of what they considered colored or white.

I think I might have found my past life mother when she and some other actresses, singers were on a review from a show in New Orleans, or it could be that this woman only looked like the mother I have seen in my visions like a twin or something, they are so very much alike my first impression was it had to be her.

She also had a background of singing in church which fit my visions. She had a beautiful voice. This woman was sadly killed during a fire. The orchestra along with the mix of colored and white audience escaped, but she and some others rushed upwards to try to save scene-clothing etc. People were ready outside shouting at them to jump, she was close to the window, but very sadly did not even make it out before she died along with some of her co-workers. This woman was named Sadie, but she was married to one of the crew as well, a colored man and he was one of the ones who died that night too in the fire. There is NO information if she was a mother or not.

Thank you for wondering ! :)

Hi Sea and Sky again ! :) I forgot to mention before that in one experience my Papa had something in his hair that made it look even darker shade, it was NEVER in any of my experience of him just free as it was, but he use to have a long curl from his pile that use to have a life of it's own and came out of the wave that the pile otherwise was slicked as.

I also have one flashback of watching my mother getting something darker painted on her, especially her face as she closes her eyes as someone else is helping her with that and her arms and hands, on one side of the hands, not the inside. So I think if this is true they wanted her to look to have even more dark skin than she had.

    /Jaimie
