I bought an oil painting online. I like it but the only fly in the ointment is that there is no frame with it. So I want to frame it. But I have no idea what kind of frame should I choose. Who can give me some suggestion?

Hi sunflowers In my opinion a white frame is all that would suit print... Not a bright shiny white but more of a rustic white would blend in A rustic whit is not a solid white...you can see a little of the raw wood of the frame when you look at it..

    Regards

    Hi Sunflower,

Welcome to the forum. Just so you know, John does framing for a living, so he's pretty knowledgeable about this type of thing.

    Cordially,
    S&S

    PS--Nice Picture:)

Thank you! I bought it from per-art.com which is an oil paintings store online. If you are interested, may be you can have a look.

Any white frame would add too much white. There are a lot of white and light colors in that painting. A wood frame made out of pine or another medium shade of wood. would look good.
