Along with being an artist I'm also a creative writer. I feel it's time I put my experience of reincarnation into a story. I'm kind of nervous about writing a story about reincarnation especially since the belief isnt widely accepted here in the US unlike some countries like say Japan. However, part of me is saying its time I put my energy into more creative things. I dont have all the details planned yet but the working title is Waltz Among The Stars and will be about an awkward 14 year old school girl named Gwen Patton who has vague memories of living a past life as a princess on another planet. As she trys and copes with the emotions the memories bring she later learns that she has a purpose on earth. While this will be based on my experiences it will be fiction. Would this make for a good story?

When you write it as fiction, it should not matter whether the concept of reincarnation is accepted or not, so no need to be nervous. You wouldn't be the first to mask real experiences as fiction. It is one way to tell your story without having to fear to be diagnosed with mental illness or something.

I guess you should ask a publicist about that. Also, "creatively" use google search!

As a non-specialist, I believe that almost any story, if well written, attracts readers. A couple of years ago I read a book about what makes a story a success. I don't recall its title, or its author, but I think it was something like "The Hero's Journey" (?)

Hello Galaxy Dreamer and welcome to the forum. You are in good company! I have written a book about my reincarnation experiences. "Go Back Jack" was published this year (2018) and tells my story about a search for a past life as an American black, blues musician from the Deep South who lived during the Great Depression and died tragically before he could realize his dreams. I have come back to tell the tale, record his music and spread the word about reincarnation. Write your story and let the people know and who cares what anyone thinks! There's free speech in America.

Of course it will :) Write it for your own sake, there will always be people who like a certain book and other's who don't, that's just life.

Personally I feel the book would be better as factual rather than fiction mixed in. Imho its either one or the other
