Strong reincarnation memory

I had a strong reincarnation memory as a classical music composer in Boston 1853-1937 by the name of Arthur Foote. I listened to his music and read about his life, and I got a visceral feeling that I was that man. I didn't need to go into regression hypnosis, it just came to me as a powerful feeling. I am also a composer of modern classical music and have been writing music since 1963.
 
That's cool Richard. Is it a specific memory or just a very strong feeling? Personally I don't dismiss gut feelings. Most of my gut feelings have turned out to be accurate.
 
I experienced something similar this afternoon, Richard.

Nothing to define who I was, no name or connection to a person, but a scene. A memory of a small café, at the close of the Second World War, with soldiers and plenty of cigarettes & wine. It was while listening to Milord by Edith Piaf, and since then I've been craving a cigarette. I don't even smoke!!

If it's a strong gut feeling, follow it and see where it goes.

No, Jim, not a specific memory, but lots of images and gut feelings about living in the Boston area as I have for the past 50 years.

Thanks Yvette. The more I look into this guy's life the more it meshes with my own experiences. I've never felt so strongly about a past life as this.

I was brought up with classical, opera and operetta and have listened only to the older composers such as of course Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini etc. I had never heard of either of your names so I just went on youtube. I shall certainly be listening to more works by Arthur Foote. The sort of classical music that is right up my street. Very wonderful, and I wish I had heard it before
I shall listen to your music as Richard St Claire when I have more time tomorrow. Btw, we aren't supposed to use our real current names on here. I expect admin will notice and explain though, although I am glad you did in this instance so I could look up your work in this life.

I was quite well known as an artist in one life, but not a great master. Just ok really but I never persued art seriously since. Enjoyed daubs from time to time but that is all.

I was also brought up with the classical tradition, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schubert, and Brahms, later on Beethoven. It always felt like home to me even when I was only 4 years of age. By the way, I've listened to many of Arthur Foote's musical works. He's a real giant. A hidden talent for so long, having been buried historically under the avalanche of modernism. Foote is a romantic through and through, just "my kind of guy"!!

I don't think there is anything that can transcend music for reaching our bodies, minds and spirits. I believe scientific research has borne this out, too. E.G. MhZ experiments.

I can't listen to Handel's Largo from Xerxes or the overture from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana without experiencing a sensation of floating and an exquisite sense of beauty that is almost heart rending - but not heart rending in a painful, nasty way. Just such pure beauty it is beyond the description of words.

From the little I listened to earlier of Arthur Foote it wouldn't surprise me if he had created such a gem. I am astonished he is not far more widely known. I shall be sharing yt links to your work as AF, anyway. Of course I shan't mention on yt that you have posted on here, as that is something you would do yourself if you wished to.

I am embarrassed and do apologise for adding an 'e' to your name now. It is late here in England, so I shall have to search yt tomorrow. Best wishes

That's a very interesting memory. Something similar happened to me once. Spontaneous, sudden knowledge.
As for composing music, I have been writing a few pieces myself. Not much and nothing grand, but very old-fashioned... now I have zero memories of ever having been a music composer.

Anyway, I am happy for you that you were able to find out and remember.
