Human's Sense Magnetic Fields

This is the first time that there has been scientific experiments that seem to establish a human "magnetic" sense like that possessed by many if not all animals. To my mind, this type of thing can serve as a basis for a reasoned argument about the ability of humans to use traditional dowsing and dowsing rods in regard to geomagnetic phenomenon. However, I can't see any basis here for modern dowsing practices for information on things like past lives. It doesn't mean that this doesn't happen, just that it seems to me that this would not be the kind of information that would be conveyed via human sensitivity to external magnetic fields.

My partner sent me this through. It's interesting. Could this ability be fine tuned, or is it innate? It might explain why some folks have a good sense of direction and others are clueless.

Hi Landsend,

I imagine you are correct in terms of directional sense. In terms of whether it can be honed, I would expect that it could. However, like most talents and abilities some are talented and some are not, so both innate ability as well as training would probably be involved in determining final outcome. Also, they tested this ability by putting people in an EM isolated environment, and looking for brainwave changes that indicated perception of changes in an external magnetic field. So, it might have more trouble operating in our modern EM saturated environment. Just guessing on that one.

Cordially,

Brain plasticity experiments and discoveries changed, and likely will change a lot more, what we believe about how our bodies work, and our bodies' limits (a good brain plasticity introductory book for the public is Norman Doidge MD's "The Brain That Changes Itself").

Unfortunately, much of our science operates inductively, which leads to incorrect conclusions, and a lot of fruitless efforts.

I believe it is likely that our physical bodies have amazing capabilities we don't know about, some that we've forgotten about. Experiments like the one that yielded the hypothesis discussed in those articles, need much more rigorously controlled conditions, and larger samples, to be a basis of more than a scientific presentation of "look what I've noticed!" :)

A topic that is near and dear to me! I had hoped that brain-plasticity would lead to recovery of my brain damage, and as I posted previously of two other areas of experience. I know that dowsing works and I suspected it was caused by an energy field and subtle influence on our muscles. The other experience I had was during pa hours-long prelude to a seizure, I found the ability to be able to distinguish the boundary between colors in glossy pictures in magazines I was looking through.

I've helped several people learn to accept their ability to dowse before now being unable of doing it myself. I also learned that my best friend's disbelief caused me to be unable to "perform" for some reason!

In my belief system, all those statements make sense.

I found this site that shows what I use to do, almost anyone can do it! It is shown in the beginning of the video - have fun learning this easily acquired tool!

i think that electro magnetic fields are bad for you even by wifi and wires etc in your house, I have seemed not get any sleep with it on.

Two new videos. Earth has been repopulated multiple times. I recall doing it with sound vibration.

Check this out. Vibravision. Doing amazing work . I'm sure we re realising everything is fields. Not quantum, not particle, fields, magnetic diaelecttic enertia and acceleration. That's it. That's how the whole universe works. So we, the persona non grata, and the spirit du sanctum , the small self and the big self, are receivers !

I'd go a step beyond that and say that all living organisms are sensitive to some kind of "life energy" as well as magnetic. I think it exists, but maybe not in the new age sense of it being magical, but more in the sense that we've lost touch with it, since we no longer rely on our "animal" instincts.

I'm very sensitive to magnetic fields. Just by moving my hands around devices, I can tell where the CPU is, the power supply and other stuff. I'm the kind of person animals will walk over and sit down next to. Like pets that owners claim can't stand anyone.. lol. I think we (animals included) can all sense the essence of a person.

Everything is based on energy and vibrations. I just see it as a natural part of this existence though.

Me too, I'm still searching for evidence of god, soul etc. But apparently we LL never get proof because you can't measure metaphysical with imperical. So I guess we LL never know for sure

Here's my take.. some people are so fond of saying you can't prove that god exists, I counter and say that you can't prove that god doesn't exist. That usually starts an argument on who the burden of proof is on.. and to me, it doesn't matter.

Anyway.. it comes up every now and then that those of us with experiences can't explain them to or make people understand who have never had them. The proof of my past life, only works in the context of myself. Only I can read the subtleties to know what really happened between me and my past life and those of my family.

I know god exists, but it's all not in the form we think of. I think people that don't get it, turn it into religion. Just as people once worshiped the seasonal cycles, because they depended on them and didn't understand them, people worship spirituality and god the same way. Would you worship your friend or yourself? Most people would answer no lol and I think that's all god is. I think there's something more here to this universe although I don't know what it is. But I also wouldn't discount it because I don't know that either.

when you describe the thing with your hands I at once thought about a past life someone who had "healing hands" sort off, so hard to explain, and I thought no one would believe me, he was spiritual but had what people would back then perhaps think an opposite image. When I met him, reincarnated, and we shook hands and smiled at one another and later got to know one another other more I see a lot of the resemblance in his old self to his present. Anyway, the thing with the hands is interesting, what is explained here from you and others about magnetism and the essence sounds right.

At my luncheon with some clacemates Wednesday, I learned that a new company was building a huge building, near where eating, that builds instruments that detect underground pipes, wires, voids, etc. essentuly "dousing".

Allo Allo ... Whenever we went somewhere, April invariably gets lost and I know where we are. She calls me the human compass!
I can usually guess the time within minutes. Pretty neat skill
