Old Films and Pictures

Not in theme with the thread but gives a small sense of nostalgia.

Thoughts, ideas, key words.
While things are changing continually, there are things that never change.
People are discussing stuff, how everything was better in the "good old times", people are complaining about this and that, people either fear an apocalyptic scenario or hope that everything will be wonderful soon, and I can't help but think: didn't we have that already? More than once?
And poof! I'm in another century. In another millennium. In split seconds.
Or I travel to the future and wonder: how will the time period we're currently in be referred to in 50, 100, 200, 500, 2000, 5000 years? People tend to believe that they are living in a special time, it was the same in the past and will be the same in the future, most likely.

To return a bit into the direction of the original topic...
I am aware, that "pictures" meant early photographs, but a painting is also a picture, and one of my all-time-favorite old pictures (literally) is that one:

I've been getting into watching TV game shows from the 1950's to 60's. My new favorite is "I've Got A Secret." Here are two episodes that I found really interesting.

February 8, 1956 - Last Witness to President Abraham Lincoln Assassination

April 26,1961 - Three generations span 195 years

Wow, this is amazing!

Might be a little off topic but one of my favorite Disney movies is snow white. I really like the animation style as it's similar to the style that I usually draw. Also I've seen reruns of shows from the 1950s such as I love Lucy and leave it to beaver and kind of like how censored things were back then and often wish TV could go back to being that censored as weird as that may sound. Also maybe this is because I'm getting older but I feel things were a bit better when I was growing up in the 2000s. Things weren't perfect but it seemed things were better then than today especially the music. I find that I can't stand pop music these days while some of the songs from when I was growing up were much better. Luckily the early 2000s seems to be seeing a bit of a revival these days which I hope will continue.

Silent French Film 1905-1906 title is "Le déjeuner des Minet"
Remastered and colorized

The style of clothing and the hairstyles are interesting. Though the cat - well I like cats and cats will be cats wherever and whenever they are, maybe the same goes for people.
