Haunted places you have been.

I know alot of people have felt a haunted place
time to time.
I have many times but today
was different was something in this building
that was hosting a craft christmas craft fair
it's newish strip mall. I felt something
uneasy last year I just brushed it off.
Today it felt like someone wanted me out of
there. It can be described as a pressing, nervous,
negative feeling.

What really scared me I heard the word "leave",
in my head. I left after that .
It sounded like a womans voice.

The house I grew up in, an 1890s farm house, was haunted. My family had lived there a short time when my mother had been awakened in the night when the front door was slammed open, and heavy footsteps came through the kitchen and stopped at the doorway to her bedroom. My dad was working nights then. Mom waited to see if it was him, but then the footsteps turned and went to where my sisters and I slept in one bed. She listened as the steps went past our bed and on to the foot of the stairs, where they stopped. She started to get up and get down one of the hunting rifles when the steps started coming back.

They kept going, and in a minute the door slammed shut. She got up then, and with my dad's big flashlight, and one of the rifles, she went to the door. It was locked, and the wood block near the top of the door meant to keep little kids from getting out, was still in place. Getting the door open, she went out onto the porch and checked the yard and surrounding areas with the flashlight. There was nothing. The dog had come out of its house, yawning and looking confused. Mom told it to go back to sleep, and she did the same.

I would wake up in the night hearing steps in the room above, once coming part way down the stairs. There were strange moving lights seen in the house by passing motorists too. I became so afraid of what was there that I couldn't stay in the house alone after the sun went down, even after I was grown.

Were you and your mom the only people in the house that heard these sounds? Or did your sisters hear them also?

I honestly have no idea if any of my siblings ever heard anything. I was barely three when my mother experienced what she had, and I didn't hear about it until I was in my teens. If they heard the things I did, I also don't know.

Sounds like generalised anxiety to me. What does it mean to you?

I have lived in many haunted places. I think with me it is more that they know I can see and hear them so they appear ... Teen sees them more than I do.

They can't hurt you but they can scare you into hurting yourself. Just be careful and stay away from the stairs.

The dog the belonged to the original house owner was around so often that when tee was younger she thought the dog was her pet .. and was shocked when she reached down to pet it and her hand went right through ...

Reminds me of the "Fear Management" episode of the Psychic Kids TV program. I actually know the mother of that boy. She told me later that she thinks the dog he was seeing was a pet dog that had been buried on the property many years ago before he was born. The property is also Native American land which probably explains a lot of what they were seeing.

I don't recall ever NOT living someplace haunted. I've ben told I'm a "sensitive" in that I can pick up the latent spirits in a place, but I've also been told I'm a magnet because of a high level of sensitivity and the number of spirits who just want to be heard and acknowledged are drawn to me. One recording from our own house had the investigator ask why I always feel like I have numerous entities around me. The recorded response was "She's the one all the spirits love." I was standing right there when the recording was done and played back immediately. There was no dubbing going on. Kinda makes me feel good!

I used to work at the Winchester Mystery House. I'd tell you all about it but right now I have other things to do. Suffice to say, the stories you may have heard are only half the picture!

I know difference. This is one rare times

where I heard a voice very negative vibe .

I have been numerous ghost towns I heard screaming.

a few times.

I haven't heard screaming, but in the Whaley House in San Diego, my daughter and I smelled cigar smoke on the stairs, and felt someone brush past. It's billed as the "Most Haunted House in America". I'm sure that brings in tourists, but oddly, no one could smell the smoke but us.

When I was a kid - every house we lived in was 'haunted' because I was constantly 'seeing' 'ghosts' 'phantoms' or 'spirits.' It was so bad - that my parents looked around for a 'brand new apartment' that had never been lived in before. I was 12 years old and they brought me there and told me to 'tour' the big apartment alone - and if I saw any 'ghost's' or 'invisible people' - I was to come back out and tell them it wasn't vacant and we would move on to find another dwelling for the family. If the 'ghost's' came later - then that meant - they were following me and I wasn't to talk about it outloud to anyone else and upset the family with 'ghost' tales and haunted images. As my Mom said, "You got to learn with it your self and stop dragging us in on it - like you do."

When I turned 18 - and amnesia struck me (after a car accident) - I couldn't remember anything of it. (I couldn't remember my near-death experiences, reincarnation stories - or seeing ghosts all the time.)

There was one house where the paranormal activity was causing nightmares and heartaches for everyone. Grown adults who visited us at that house - swore they had some sort of ghostly encounter. My Doctors were telling me to visit the houses I had lived in as a child to try and trigger recall. My family and family friends had told me tons of stories and I had no memories of them what so ever. So - I got a new friend to take the 300 mile drive to visit this place. (I had done it before. Show up at a house and showed them my medical papers and tell them I was trying to follow Doctors orders and they would let me look around the house to try and help me out.)

I took the biggest skeptic I could find. He was a non-believer and said he could find rational explanations for all the stories I had been telling him.

It is a long story what of what happened when we arrived - but - he was crying like a baby and begging me to get him out of there. He almost wet himself with fear. He became a believer fast and quick.

That is what he was saying over and over again.

"They are telling us to LEAVE! Can't you hear them?"

I did hear it but it wasn't normal sound. It was like a faint whisper inside of me. This was my first 're-introduction' to the dark side of the paranormal. (There are friendly ghosts and there are some very unfriendly spirits. These - were very, very wicked and nasty spirits.)

It was just a vacant lot when we got there. The house itself was gone - and I had to get him to a gas station before he 'wet himself.' On the drive to the gas station - he was totally un-nervred and hysterical. I was laughing and in a good mood. (Even though I couldn't remember the past - I had a foundation within built upon such experiences. It wasn't anything new to me.)

He felt it was 'un-natrual' for me not to be afraid. This is what my family said bothered them so much. They would see a phantom walk through a wall - and I would just start laughing and they would all be 'wetting' themselves with fear. I looked to my friend and said, "If you know enough to know God is on your side - what is there to fear? If they are out to do you wrong - it is your fear that gives them the power to do it. I learned a long time ago not to show them any fear."

I once was traveling a dirt road with a group of young friends and stray dog ran upon us. They all started running and screaming with that dog hot on their trail barking. They all came running to me and that dog stopped dead in his tracks and looked at us. I reached down and picked up a rock and that dog took off running in the opposite direction yelping. I told my friend,

"If you know enough to know - then when something like that appears to you and it has evil on its mind - you bend down inside yourself and ask God to hand you a rock to toss in their direction. The rock God is going to hand you is laughter. The sound of laughter hurts their ears and they will take off yelping like the stray dogs they are when they hear you laughing. Why do you think I brought you here? They know enough to leave me alone. They don't know enough to leave you alone with it. I was just using you as bait to get them to come out from hiding so I could hear them yelp the minute I got that rock from God to hear them yelp away from us."

Sincerely,

DKing

  • Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

The word 'rod' is a metaphor for 'authority.' In ancient times - the leader of the clan or tribe carried a 'rod' to signify their leadership within the clan or tribe. When it comes to spirit - God is the authority on all matters great and small. When 'evil' comes to you - it tries to get you to bend your inner self to them in fear. Instead of bending down to them in fear - give "God" your fear and God will show you gratitude for it - by tickling your funny bone and filling your heart and mind with joy and laughter.

Sincerely,

DKing

Hi skye, yes am going through a bit similat in my house. Have you lived anywhere else that"s haunted or just here?

It may help to work out if its the place or you they atttracted to.

I have spiritsbin my house. I did the talking & guiding them to the light. I thoight it had worked but they are stil around. Theres a particularly nasty one in the village has really latched on.

I'm now getting a bit obssessed i'm attracting them. i think as well because of christmas i've had less time alone & in a more stressed mind it'more attracting to them.

I have been trying to do angel meditation for protection & using lavender & sage.

I get scared as well but they gain energy from this fear. Remember you are more powerfull than them.

I think its both. There are people in my house who haven't experienced anything (or haven't seen them for what they actually are) so I suspect because I'm more open than the others I'm more susceptible to entities. The house itself was built on a piece of land that was brutally attacked when Caesar and his Roman soldiers landed. I suppose it doesn't help that we have a bust of Julius Caesar in our house, lol. The king at the time lived in my town and there was a battle between the two, but the king and his men were defeated. From what we know, the battle took place on a stretch of land between my house and the local supermarket. I can only imagine the horrors and tortures that occurred because, truth is, there is something about the location of my house and the land surrounding it that attracts negativity - hard to explain really and it would be too long to go into the strange things that happen in the town. Anyway, it is true that negativity attracts them even more and fear feeds them ... though I've always had difficulty trying to pretend I wasn't afraid when I knew they were watching me. I keep telling myself I'm stronger than them but unfortunately it isn't a skill I've entirely mastered yet. That fear is still there. But I can't feel them right now. Sometimes they just lie dormant and pop up again at the most random times.

The many names

I have in the past, in haunted locations, come in contact with spirit(s) who feel to me that they might be evil as opposed to being frightened, scared, confused or otherwise benign.

Something I do that has always protected me from "not" so kind spirits, whether awake or asleep, or during an OOBE is to imagine a strong ray of a Golden bright light, much like a Yellow circle shining on the ground in front of me.

I step inside this Yellow circle and it wraps around me like a cloak and I start praying to the Creator, who goes by many different names by different people and I pray a prayer of protection that is personal to me or perhaps the Lord's Prayer.

I find the many different names of the Creator, are very powerful, and if spoken with conviction, will banish evil, at least for me it will, your "Mileage" may differ.

Gosh skye yes think i would be uneasy.

If it helps i do similar to hydrolad & ask the angel michael for protection. I've also learnt to close myself down. If i'm vulnerable i wear a cfoss & have been burning sage incense.

I've been told to be quite blunt & harsh to tell them to away & are not wanted.

Hope this helps a little.

I have been to quite a few.
Blickling hall , tower of london, whitechapel, culloden, pere lachaise cemetery and I hope too once go to highgate cemetery.

In the apartment where we used to live before, I dreamt of a soldier being killed there. Eventually, a neighbor told us that someone really died there. Also, there are also other spirits roaming around aside from the soldier.

The Lemp Mansion in St.Louis is definitely haunted. I was pretty skeptical until I went there myself. One of those ghosts was just inches behind me.

I see spirits all the time, but most of them are more subtle than that guy.

I saw spirits in my old grandma's house a lot as a child. My mom thought I was being too sensitive and scary-cat. I would screamed and cry a lot but the old popcorn ceiling was comfort to me. I just thought I was crazy.
Then when I left the house at 11 years old, I stopped seeing them. When it was 2020 in April, I started to see them again in my mom's townhouse. It was scared me for awhile but now I just yell get out and burn some sage also do a protection ritual. In my experience, I had stopped believing they were real, then I didn't see them during my teens.
My youngest brother claims that he felt a presence of two spirits in the past. Maybe these spirits were from people who lived in the both areas a long time ago.
There is one ghost in antique shop in Sanford, Florida inside a mirror. Jackie Robinson haunts his old house in Sanford because children can see him on the porch.
I had one attached to me for no reason around April 12 and I kept losing my stuff. I got to sage myself and part of my mom's townhouse tonight.

Hi Klaud,

And Yikes! What did he/she/it look like?

Cordially,
S&S

I unfortunately didn't get a look at his face. I was in the main part of the women's bathroom alone (there was another lady in the stall, but it was just the two of us in the room) with the door closed. I was washing my hands and felt a very strong male presence behind me and I could partially see the outline of someone in a dark suit. He was gone before I turned around, but he was close enough that I could have touched him if I'd moved fast enough.

After some online reading, I found that a lot of women have seen him in the bathroom looking at them. Apparently he really liked women if you get my meaning. That bathroom used to be his office if I remember correctly, and it's an absolutely huge room.

They have great home style food and ghosts for days. It's a whole tragic story and there was a lot of death in the house.

Hi Klaud,

Aside from the male/female thing, he might be unhappy that his office has been turned into a bathroom  or confused . Alternately, as you seem to imply, he may be a bit of a voyeur .

Cordially,
S&S

PS--there should be a special exorcism rite for use with "pervy" spooks! ;)

He might be happy about it with all those women to look at :p

They'd lose some money that way. They have a whole business doing ghost tours of the house and nearby brewery, and being a bed and breakfast/restaurant.

One of the most haunted places I wish to visit(of course with companionS). You're so lucky to have been visited there!

I've been thinking about this thread. We've moved our store front and there's a long narrow hallway with poor lighting that leads to a small restroom. A solitary toilet that sits lower to the ground than normal, a really dim light and a smaller old fashioned dusty mirror. The walls make the energy feel cramped, after you walk down the hall you have to go around a pillar and turn back around in order to get into the restroom. We're going to replace the mirror and the the light. We may even knock out a wall down the road. The initial feeling when we walked into the restroom was a little creepy. If you stand there alone it feels kind of ominous- like something bad happened. More specifically, like someone had committed murder or suicide.

It really had me thinking about architectural design and whether you can create the feeling of a haunted place by the way a building is designed.

Gypsy8,

Enjoyed reading about your experience of the farm house you grew up in. I can't say I have personally experienced a haunting but I live just down the street from the Whittier Mansion here in Pacific Heights in San Francisco. When I first moved to the neighbor I would walk by the place and get a very distinct creepy feeling about the house. It felt sad, dark with a lot of heavy energy to it. I was born an empath so I can pick up on emotional energy of people or places that are near me. It was only until later did I discovered the house has a history of being haunted. So at least I know I still have the gift if nothing else.

As I understand it when there is a haunting of a house, or area of land ect.. the ghost see's the place as it was when they lived there before they died. So many earth bound souls like this are not aware that death has taken place. So when they see you there in the their house they feel like your the intruder. Not realizing that time has gone by and that they are dead. The reason for this is on the lower astral everything physical in form has its astral counterpart to it. Kind of like a mirror image of the same reality only in lower astral matter. This causes confusion among the dead that reside on the lower astral plane. It takes some very sincere confining to them that death has taken place and that they need to move on into the light where all those that they loved and cared about are there in the middle or higher astral worlds.

However if something really tragic, or awful happen like a murder, suicided or other negative emotional attachments to the place many don't want to leave or feel they can't. The reasons can be many and are individual in nature. Eventually they do leave and transition to a more normal level within the astral world but it can be sometimes centuries of our time.

Peace and love

P.
