I see words scroll across my vision. Does this mean anything?

I'm not certain how to descibe this. Sometimes when I'm relaxaing with my eyes closed, usually at night, I'll see letters/words scroll across my vision. Kind of like the crawlers on the tv that go across the bottom of the screen. These are in the center of my vision and they scroll very fast. I can't focus on them to read them, and when I try to bring them into better focus they disappear. I just feel like it's trying to tell me something...but what?

Last night I was in bed getting ready to fall asleep, and this time it was a little different. They were words/letters in small boxes, some of the words/letters larger than other and bold. They seemed to be projected on a hand someone was holding up. Again, I could almost read them but couldn't bring them into focus. They didn't disappear right away though, even when I opened my eyes to see what the "hand" might have been (nothing there remotely like a hand). Once I closed my eyes they were back. Eventually they stopped.

It is so increadibly frustrating to not be able to read what it's saying.

Has anyone experienced this? or heard of anything like this? Any idea what could be causing it?

(I should mention I'm not a visual person. When I close my eyes I see black, no pictures or visions. I have to work very hard to visualize anything.)

Maybe a Guardian Angel of yours - some not reincarnated soul that was close to you in one of your past lives - and not yet very experienced as a Guardian Angel - is trying to send you a message.

Just let him/her know you don't get the message, so, in time, he/she might gain experience and do it better.

Just a guess.

Good luck.

IMHO.

Hi Misty,

I love what you are telling us. I think this is your very personal way of processing life. Like you said: you are not visual, so in your case you see words. You are the verbal one among us. The fact that you can't make sense out of it, sounds familiar. Personally, I am a visual person but don't think I can make sense out of most of the images that come to me. So, every once in a while when there is something 'important' going through my brain, there is this loud 'Voice' telling me to pay attention.

Interesting idea. I hope one day I can figure out how to get these words into focus so I know what someone or my own brain is trying to tell me.

I will attempt to send a message to any potential Guardian Angels who might be trying to send me a message that they have to hit me over the head with it or I won't get it :)

That time between waking and sleeping, as we relax but are not yet actually asleep, can be a place of vivid imagery. Rather like dreams, this seems to respond to attention. If I ignore the things seen before sleeping, there is usually nothing there, I just drift into sleep. But If I make the effort to observe, watch what appears, sometimes it can be remarkable. Sometimes I see vividly detailed and colourful glimpses of beautiful and highly decorated man-made objects, such things as pottery or clothing. The detail and vividness seems sharper and more clear than anything I see when awake. That in itself is startling. But these things seem to fade in and out of view very quickly and fleetingly, not usually holding still for very long.

As for writing, only after the passing of my father, I started seeing hand-written words and phrases in my father's distinctive handwriting. However, I don't expect to be able to read them, when alive, he used to write in his native language - not English - and I couldn't read his writing then. So when I see these fragments of hand-written text, I take the meaning - if any - not to be in the words themselves, there is no expectation for me to read or understand them. Perhaps for me it is simply a sign of his presence, a kind of "hello, I'm here with you".

But, that is me relating my experience. The question from Misty8723 may be something different and have some other significance.
