Antiquated everyday life on youtube

Last night I binge-watched this series about life on a 17th century farm:

What Was It Like To Live In 17th Century Britain? | Tales From The Green Valley

I love this cooking channel (no talking) of an American girl making food in her early 19th century cabin and clothes:

She and her fiance Ron critique the food and talk about history, and do play-acting on this channel: https://www.youtube.com/@frontierpatriot

The channel Absolute History has some shows similar to this from the BBC, with a vary wide range of eras too

Interesting indeed, @Tinnos . I understand what you're saying. Part of me feels so very connected to the farm life; those images really affect me while I watch. A kind of longing and wanting to be there as well. And... yes, to be honest, some negative feelings too. The realization that those lives included boring and dull, stupid tasks as well. Isolation. Lack of freedom of mobility. Serfdom.

Seeing this thread made me wonder that people will be returning to this way of life for a while in the coming years between the burnout and the social upheavals to come.

Trying on a 18th Century wedding dress.
(This is Justine's actual wedding dress, her wedding is next month.)
:)

Wow, I never imagined how pretty a lady's dress could be in the "dark Ages." Here's a short film set in (roughly) the same time period:

I Was Born in a Cave in 1896

Man who was born in a cave, 1896, in OK territory talks about his childhood from the 1896 thu the 1900's. One room schoolhouse as well. This was filmed in1988.
