We're a creative bunch, I'm certain, and since I wasn't really sure where to post poems and other creative reflections on reincarnation, I thought ...

    "Ah! They allow groups here!"

wellllllcome So, we'll see if this works. Feel free to join the Poetry and Art group and share your writing, songs, art ,photography, etc.

(edit: Actually, we can just use this thread, since it's easier to find. I keep forgetting the group exists, anyway. )

I'd love to see it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. :D

I think this forum has a gentle and understanding atmosphere, so your poetry should be safe, shadows. Feel free to post in the group and share any poems you think others might enjoy also.

(Reposting this poem from the group to this thread for the sake of convenience.) It's a bit of a riddle, I suppose. wine**

    I am...

I live on the mist of forever

    drawn in by the edges of time;

I touch where the memory fragments

and string each fresh thought from your mind.

I weave through the shifting of moments,

breathe in each new note in your song,

and gather the losses you scatter

like jewels through the days fighting on.

    Unfold for the promised tomorrow

    the treasure I’ve stored up within;

regain what I hold on the border

where fear always threatens to win.

No darkness can withstand my presence

No hatred can stifle my heart.

I am love. I am you in the making.

I am precious--your life from the start.

Wow! That was really expressive and interesting. I love the little twist at the end in the contrast between the internal perspective and the outer. I really wasn't expecting it. You did a really good job of keeping his situation ambiguous till you were ready to shift.

A Poem when I was Younger

When I was an older teenager, I, in a short lived fit of supposed creativity, pinned a missive to the concepts of Reincarnation, a belief that I been entertaining ever since I could remember my dreams as a young child.

Of the two lives I remember mainly, one was in a much bigger and larger body than the one I was currently in, where my speaking was in English, but it sounded funny and cars drove in funny ways on the roads!

Later on the dreams would evolve into aeroplanes, a lot of flying, countless miles of water, tall white cliffs and finally death.

As I got older, the dreams lead me to believe that I was a RAF pilot killed in WWII from drowning in the Atlantic in sight of the White Cliffs of Dover (even today, Dame Vera Lynn singing that song of the same name brings me close to tears.) cover face

The second life I had dreams of appears to be before the above life and might explain my later love of animals, but also my sensitivity towards my stomach in my current life.

I remember herding/guarding a group of animals, possibly some type of sheep, when I was attacked by a large animal, possibly a wolf or large dog, knocking me to the ground and biting me on the stomach, causing me to die.

Before I knew anything about Out of Body (OOB's) experiences (at least in this life), from another position, I viewed what appeared to be a double of me, rise out of my body on the ground and start to rise in the sky.

Immediately, my viewpoint shifted to inside the part that was rising in the sky and I could see my body on the ground with the wolf/dog hovering over it and people running madly down a hill, to chase the wolf/dog away.

I got higher and higher in the sky and then the dream faded away, but here is that poem that I wrote years ago:

    My Poem on Reincarnation

    Written by Myself

Down through the mists of time,

    often without reason or rhyme,

I find myself living a particular life,

which is full of stress and strife.

I know not, why I have chosen these trials,

or why I have stumbled through these endless miles,

but like a sword tempered in the fire,

I have slowly became stronger in this pyre.

And when this lifetime has finally ceased to be,

I shall return to my real home to see,

a grand and glorious place I once knew,

and shall once again, be an eternal spirit made new.

    Now this shakespearen

    A Storm

Dark storm within eyes see s ever present lies

Chaos is my guardian angel of destruction

Is my evolution in my minds eye

    Plague the new centuries dawn

Comes at the sorrow of death

Of innocence of childs forgotten face

The night becomes the only embrace

Is no peace, fear not for time is nothing but

Pieces of a jigsaw puzzle scattered across an empty sky

    Rage

Rage is a disease burning deep within,

it takes over your brain without you realising,

theres nothing you can do its against your will,

you are now poisened and ready to kill,

your heart beats fast as you clinch your fist,

    veins bulging in your whrists,

reckless and wild you roam the night,

ready to take lives and start a fight.....

    Devil

Gamble with me and then youl see,

    my power is great,

    ill tear you down,

    ill steal your crown,

you will lose and i will win,

ill make you lie, ill make you sin,

ill make you cheat, ill pull the ground from under yor feet,

you will fall you will brake,

    a gamble with me,

    a big mistake.....

    My adonis

If you be my adonis, ill be your aphrodite,

ill dance for you naked under blue moonlight,

the flames from the fire reflect in your eyes,

so dark that tell no lies,

a handsome face, soft to the touch,

my adonis i love you much,

laydown beside me,and talk me to sleep,

a voice of an angel,so soothing and deep,

caress my body with your strong manley hands,

take me to a heaven in the far away lands,

a touch from you melts my cold heart,

my dear adonis we shall never part, i lose myself

    deep within your eyes,

lets lay together till the dawn of sunrise.....

    World as we know it....

As a world what have we done,

A nation of people all wretched and numb,

We do not care for the peoples welfare,

    We live on pride,

    We live on greed,

On war and suffering we all feed......

    Dreams

When i sleep alone in my bed, i live so many lives in my head,

Dreaming things that wont come true, like the fact i cant have you,

Reality to me is disapointing, all thats real i end up wanting,

Until the day my thoughts come true, i will stay in bed and dream of you.......

    Ocean...

Ocean so cold and as old as time,

Claims so many victims, and hold thousands of souls,

You can never win against a rageing wave,

Unless you are fearless, almighty and brave.....

    Preach....

Life is what you make it they always preach,

But what if a good life is out of reach?

    Fix it, fake it,

do as you wish, but what are we trying to accomplish?,

Life is an adventure threw the eyes of the brave,

But to those who are frail face an early grave......

    Open Door

There are passages of long over grown trees

    A time where one see's life's changes

    like autumn leaves

I embark on a driven quest to a new open road

    Where shadows have no hold

A deluge of photographs flood my minds eye

I have to now wade through my fear

For as dim and dark as forgotten lake

I see no chance or other direction to take

Past all the lives I dusted by in tears

lost and forgotten years some I want relieve again

The lakes bottomless reflection never gives in

Of myriad thoughts of foregone ages

    In empty but remembered pages

Pieces of my past are finally shown to me

I am still here, I begin to shed a tear

I added to the original poem when first started here

    now it seems complete.
