I've wondered about posting this for a while as the image I get isn't nice.
It's an image of my friend being questioned by the gestapo.
She has a crooked nose, it was broken when two girls set on her when she was about 17 or 18.
It dawned on me when we met at Christmas. I have another posting with my memories of us all being together last life. I couldn't help noticing her nose & realising it was a last life reminder.

I think I would have introduced this friend to our soul group as the memories I first got of her were of a lovely, young blonde girl. I think I must have known her in France before the war & used her as a contact when I went back.
I have a memory of not being able to get to at a place we'd arranged because it wasn't safe. When I did meet her she was very upset but I knew no one would suspect her & she wouldn't have come to any harm. I realise she must have been significantly younger than the rest of us; late teens or very early twenties.

This friend I knew this life also (she has older parents who were freinds with my Grandparents) and introduced her to my other two soul friends at secondary school age. One of these friends (I'll call her M) took an immediate dislike to her. We are all good friends now but they didn't get on until we got the age of going out and socialising.

We had a drink on Christmas Eve, M commented at the people the blonde friend had been talking to in the pub. She hadn't liked the company she chose to be with and again recently we met and M still comments she's shocked at the people the other friend speaks to. Aside from this they get on ok but it has obviously made me put things together. Was this friend careless, last time round or did she mix with the Germans.

I wonder if my M's immediate dislike as a teenager was more pl related. Maybe she believes she's the reason we were all caught.

The imgae I have isn't nice of my friend. Her head is pulled back by her hair, as she's hit. She's a very pretty, young woman but her face is red & swollen and her nose is bleeding.

The next image she is sat by a desk, a blanket around her shoulders. Other than that she's wearing an underslip. The man behind her adds sugar cubes to a cup of tea. Passing the cup to her (it's a nice china cup), she's shaking. Telling her she's doing the right thing, she takes the cup. Tears are rolling down her face.

Oh, poor girl! It has to be painful for you to remember these things, starry. I don't even like to watch scenes like that in movies. I'm trying to overcome my extreme dislike of the Gestapo and the SS, by watching German-language movies and documentaries about the War. It isn't helping much - even Germans have very conflicting feelings and opinions about it. Seventy years have passed - we all need to let the negative emotions connected to the War go, for the sake of our own souls. I think an instant dislike to a person is often past life related. I'm glad your friends over came that feeling.

The funny thing is Briar I have never had any dislike of Germans. Possibly the opposite infact and often made friends with other German couples when I've been away. They must have had a pretty rotten time as well with men having to fight in a war out of their control.

Yes the image is horrible, writing about has helped.

It is funny with these men my blonde friend had been talking to must have sounded pl warning bells with M. I can imagine the blonde friend might have been a little too free & familiar last time around.LOL

I also have to correct myself because it may not even have been the gestapo questioning my friend. I'm think some people were arrested & questioned before being passed on for more severe questioning.

I have a very vivid image of myself looking in mirror knowing their are two men waiting to question me the other side. I can see them talking quietly through the crack in the door. I've asked to go to the toilet to give myself time to work out in my head what's safe to tell them without leading them to anyone else. I know I wouldn't hold up to torture and my brain works quickly.

It seems surreal thinking about it now but I remember being given cigarettes and was glad of them. I think I was treated quite well.

I dunno why I went in and read this but feel like wanna go and find the b******s wherever they are in the universe and cut off whatever they've got left on them.

Starrynight you don't need to overcome your dislike of evil. More people need to be repelled by it so that they nip it in the bud instead of allowing it to spread like it's been allowed to so far. It deserves to be disintegrated, by you becoming integrated..

    Gestapo in France

    Hi Starry night,

You could be very on target about being questioned first and then handed over for further 'questioning'. In France the police services linked themselves to the conquering German forces, so you weren't just fighting the Germans but also the same French authorities who were supposed to protect you.

You can't really blame some young women for finding the Germans to be a 'means' to better food, and other specialities, like jewelry. In some instances the Germans were almost 'rock stars', the bad boys with all the power and prestige.

Just saw a documentary about young British girls who travel to join ISIS, for similar reasons, I suppose.
