Here is my kurt cobain stury. I dekered my post as there was no one reading it.
    To Whom It May Concern,

I wonder if other people claim that they were Kurt Cobain in their past lives.
Concerning that, I even wondered about whether I was him in my past life. I was born in China and am an adult woman. I was born on August 1996.
I grew up liking doll heads from barbie and gi joe and I had them in my possession over the years. I took them everywhere (Kurt Cobain liked anatomy and body parts particularly fetuses I think and he had a picture taken with a few baby doll heads and had one baby doll head in his possession according to some source of a collection of his things).
I liked drums when I was five years old and had a teacher who played drums (Kurt played drums in secondary school before playing guitar)
When I was 7, there was a period that I disliked my picture taken unless I included the gi joe heads that I had at the time in the picture. The reason behind it was that I wanted people to know when looking at pictures that I had toy heads (Kurt had a picture taken with baby doll heads by a photographer).
    Here is link to evidence
    https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/1b13oz/kurt_cobain_posing_with_doll_heads/

I don't know if this was related. I was afraid of death like from meteors hitting earth (maybe due to my orphanage experience, I was in orphanage untill 16 months of age).
I liked hard rock/metal music in the car when I was six years old and around 7, I stopped liking it because I fell in love with my school and hearing rock music would trigger me to miss my school when in the car. I don't know what that meant??
I played the drums around eight due to gain control over my dislike of hard rock/metal music since 7. I got tired of playing drums around 11 to 12 and disliked it due to wanting to enjoy being at parties rather than being a performer. I only performed a few times.
When I was 12, I thought of the idea of a doll head necklace so I could carry them effectively without worrying about losing the doll heads. (Kurt Cobain wore a similar necklace)
Here is the link to it
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Nirvana/comments/6kzypi/never_saw_this_picture_before_the_necklace_kurt/

In addition to this, I learned about reincarnation around nine and at first, I wanted to reincarnate into my friend due her massive barbie collection. Then I changed my mind and wanted to reincarnate into my drum teacher to gain control over my dislike of hard rock/metal once again.
So a few weeks ago, I started reflecting on whether reincarnation existed. I researched reincarnation and then I searched up Kurt Cobain. I learned a lot about him that I didn't know when I was growing up. I first heard about him was when I was 7 and that he was a rock star in a band called Nirvana. About a month ago, I learned that he was much more than a rock star in a band who had a daughter. This was when I started seeing connections between him and me. I felt suprised.
Thinking about reincarnation and Kurt Cobain, I then remembered having a funny dream that I had a few years ago twice and it was about me at a party. The setting was a cliff with a beach below it. Kurt Cobain was married on a cliff in Hawaii. However my dream was that I came down the cliff to a fancy dinner table on the beach and ate there. I don't think Kurt Cobain did that but the location and party aspect of the dream made me wonder if I was previously Kurt Cobain in my past life.
I also still fear death but that might be my experience in the orphanage though. Kurt Cobain died from gunshot to head due to suicide. I still dislike hard rock/metal music. However I loved music.
So according to this, I have a two questions.
    1. Was I Kurt Cobain in my past life? I am a female who was born in China and didn't have the idea of being Kurt Cobain though I wanted to be a drummer in my next life at 9. I wonder if that decreases the likelihood of that.

    2. Did others claim that they were Kurt Cobain in their past lives in your studies and research? I wonder because I read a few others claim on reddit. Could've the soul split up after death?

Note: I sent this story to the University of Virginia. They replied that many people around the world report possible past life memories and that the researchers are interested in young children who say spontaneous statements despite not having a lot of exposure to the media. Cases in which people claim that they were famous people are complicated due to the media. However, I didn't even know about Kurt Cobain until age 7 and moreso, I didn't know anything about him other than his job (guitarist), status (father of daughter wife of Courtney Love) and physical appearance(blond hair) until a month ago.
I also have a funny memory since I was five or six. The memory was that a small room with two men. One man had a white t shirt. He took it off and I sat on it. The other man I think gave me a shot in my arm. It was painful.

Thanks. I hope to hear from you soon

    Hi Lili,

A search of the forum for "kurt cobain" using the search box provided on the upper right of each page of the board yielded 22 "hits" including your post above. Most of these were from a thread started by another prospective reincarnate in 2010. So, there has been at least one other with the same suspicion that you have. I do not doubt that there are more who think they may have been Kurt Cobain who have not posted on this particular board.

Also, it is difficult if not impossible to give a definite answer to the question of whether you might have lived before as Kurt Cobain without a lot more definite and confirmable memories. Nonetheless, there is also no reason at this point to believe that this would have been impossible, despite the fact that others may have wondered about this as well.

All I can do is suggest that you continue to search for information and continue to seek to recover additional memories if you feel drawn to do so. However, it is often said on the board that interest in a possible past life should not be allowed to take the place of attending to the life we are living right now. The life you have now is your most important life at this moment. So, it would be unwise to become so obsessed with answering this question and to fail to live your present life to the utmost.

    Cordially,
    S&S

If you'd like people to talk with you, you need to try to meet them halfway. That is, post some sort of reply of your own, to show that you are interested and give people something more to actually respond to. Otherwise people will lose interest and walk away.

    Hi Lili,

Maybe this link might be interesting to you. A necklace of little heads immediately reminds me of something different, probably the deeper reason why you and Kurt were attracted to shrunken heads in the first place. It could be you have both origins in this culture.

But - I already gave my opinion. You made no reply, instead deleted the thread. I guess you didn't like my previous reply. But you see, we have to guess, since you are not (so far) giving any reply or feedback when others post quite lengthy responses. As I say, give and take. Back and forth. I hope you will say more about how you feel about the various replies from other people.

Hello flydancing, thanks for the rey. However I don't think that the reason is shrunken culture. I just liked the heads as they were easier to transport than the whole doll. Also the heads seem like the main thing that gives us individuality. I also had a funny experience. I heard the song time in a bottle by jim croce and after several times hearing over and over again, I thought to myself Kurt might gave heard this when he was little. Indeed I was correct. I found out in a book that I was reading in google books. However, I don't remember what the book was.

    Hi Lily,

it is totally understandable that you have many questions and that you want people to believe you.

But you should keep in mind that others are having their personal issues, too. It's not the smartest move to talk about yourself and your past life in your first post and then send messages to the mods and others to ask them to read your posts.

You may be busy, but others are busy, too.

"Claiming" a "famous" past life is such a thing anyway. Having a lot of things in common with someone from the past is not enough. If that was enough, I could "claim" quite a few "famous" lives...
("claim" and "famous" in quotation marks because "claim" makes me think of the gold rush and fame, in my personal opinion, does not matter at all... or, rather, may affect the soul, but doesn't make you a "better" person)

It is understandable that you do not wish to share your memories, but do you have any actual memories from the time of Kurt's all too short life? Anything that wasn't published, like, as an example, how you felt about your parents, something about your friends, anything that made you happy or unhappy in your PL? NOT asking you to share, because I understand that some things are too private to share. Just asking you so that you can think about it for yourself.

I also recommend that you read this:
    https://militarypastlives.wixsite.com/militarypastlives/famous-past-lives-6-common-assumptions

It is possible, of course, that you were him in a PL. Famous people reincarnate, too.

    Just keep in mind that
    - there may be another explanation for why you have so many things in common with Kurt (it is good that you read fireflydancing's post and took it in)
    - you should reflect any PL memories and do your PL research NOT like some historians who only want to prove their point, but with an open mind
    - while it matters a lot to you if you were Kurt or not, in the long term, it is more important to you what you can learn from your PL and who you are NOW

Hello seeker of knowledge, thanks a lot for responding. I have been hoping for responses. Could you spread this story to others in this forum? I did mention a dream about a cliff and the one about the white t shirt and getti g a shot in my arm. I heard the song Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce and after a gew times hearing it, I thought that Kurt heard it growing up and I was proven right by a preview of a book on google books.

That song is beautiful. Makes me feel comfortable and safe, as I was when I was 2 years old in my current life.

Maybe you have one sign with that song. You'll need a lot more, though, if you want to convince a whole community that you were Kurt Cobain indeed, in your PL.

Again, I am NOT asking you to share private memories. I am just asking you questions so that you can ponder them for yourself.

How do you feel about playing a guitar? Did you learn it early in your current life?
Can you compose or write songs easily?
    Song lyrics?
What do you remember about Courtney? How did you feel about her? Was it love at first sight?

And again: what do you want to be and do in your current life? In case you really were Kurt Cobain, is there anything you can take into your current life and use to reach your personal goals here and now?

    Here are the answers.
How do you feel about playing a guitar? I don't remember. Howvever at age 11, I played a toy guitar and I thought I knew how to, however didn't know how chords worked. I was strumming the strings

Did you learn it early in your current life?
I don't play guitar. I did like drums around five. I also that that I was good at them at 6 years however, I didn't know how to play them the way drummer did. I instead played funny beats with the yoms and snare drum.

Can you compose or write songs easily?
I don't compose nor write songs however. However, I like music and it has been a big part in my enjoyment. Kurt loved music since he was very little.

    Song lyrics?
    Nope.

What do you remember about Courtney? How did you feel about her? Was it love at first sight?
I don't remember. However, when I was little, I thought about a peers mother with dark hair with short bangs. I had a secret crush on her for a very short time. I later then imagined a woman with long blonde hair, first with bangs and then I wanted to change to without the bangs. I don't know what that was about.

The creator of the military past lives website wrote a reply doubting my story. I then deleted it and reposted the post.

Wow, I didn't ask or even expect you to answer these questions in an open post... you definitely are brave.

"I don't remember" often is seen as a cheap excuse, but PL memories usually ARE fragmentary, so... this won't prove or disprove a thing.

But you shouldn't delete a post just because people don't believe you. You also shouldn't be all too sure that you actually were Kurt. Not before you have more validated memories.

I'd recommend that you try to live your life from your heart, whenever circumstances allow it, take in what ever you remember from a PL, "famous" or not, to help you and otherwise just do what feels right.

Well, what do you think I was in my past life? I had known about drums since around age four. I don't know where I got the knowledge.

Others won't be able to answer your questions.

Sorry, but you will have to do the research and work yourself. And then you will have to ask yourself, from your heart.

Your intent should be not to prove that you were a certain famous person, but to figure out how your past lives still are affecting you and what you can do to do it "better" this time around.

Still only my personal opinion, of course.

@Lili As others have said, only you yourself can answer your questions about who you were in a past life. Even those of us with plenty of evidence for a last life or two, including census records of the people we remember being, can still be riddled with doubts. Doubt and critical thinking are all part of investigating our past lives.

I don't have any famous past lives, but from talking with others over the years who do, those claims do tend to attract extra caution and doubt from others, just because of the nature of claiming to have been famous before.

There is a thread by Deborah, started way back in 2009, that might be of interest (although, if you are feeling vulnerable to hearing dissenting voices, maybe do not read until you are feeling more comfortable with the nature of doubt and caution): http://reincarnationforum.com/threads/avoiding-the-acceptance-trap.2000/

Wasn’t necessarily doubt. My reply was long and, I believe, helpful for a newbie. Your memories posted were vague, were mostly just likes and dislikes, and could apply to anyone. Even this revamped version of your post, IMO, has this same tone. You liked drums as a 5-year-old? What 5-year-old *doesn’t* like the drums? I’m not trying to be hurtful or prompt you to delete your latest thread, but do you see what I’m saying?

I'm afraid I can't make people read or not read your post. Once something is out on the internet the right people will come by as and when. Even if people read, they are under no obligation to respond. I hope you find the answers you seek, but you have to be patient. The right people will read and respond when the time is right.

Hello Inhaltslos, thanks for replying. I didn't delete because of your comment, I deleted due to not enough comments. I have more pueces to the puzzle. See what you think.
At age 11, I played a toy guitar and I thought I knew how to, however didn't know how chords worked. I was strumming the strings
I did like drums around five. I also that that I was good at them at 6 years however, I didn't know how to play them the way drummer did. I instead played funny beats with the toms and snare drum.
I like music and it has been a big part in my enjoyment. Kurt loved music since he was very little. He was bright and happy as a little kid until his parents split. I was also a bright child as well.
When I was little, I thought about a mother of one of my 1st grade peers with dark hair with short bangs. I had a secret crush on her for a very short time. I later then imagined a woman with long blonde hair, first wuth bangs and then I wanted to change to without the bangs. I then today looked up one of his previous girlfriends before Courtney and Tobi Vain and she had dark hair that was long with bangs and Courtney had long blonde hair both woth and without bangs at different times.

You can say with certainty who you might have been in a past life and then later in life your answer can change completely. I don't think others can tell you who you are.

A random thought occured to me.

I wonder if there is any correlation between suicide and soul split??

There are plenty of drummers who have died before you were born, famous and non-; perhaps you were one of them?
It's really not enough clues to say if you were one specific person or not. You could try past life regression and see if any visions pop up.
Don't get discouraged. I think it's more important to find out who you really were, rather than cling to the idea of having been someone famous and well-loved, if you know what I mean. You'll only be disappointed if you become obsessed over it and find out you were wrong.

I think someone else mentioned, you could have even been someone who was close to Kurt. I'm not an expert, but I can't think of any drummers he knew who died...

And some of it might mean nothing at all. I've always been huge into music (that's me in my avatar), but as far as I know, I wasn't a musician in any recent past lives. Not every life is going to be the same...even a lot of these stories that I hear and read about, where kids remember their past lives, they don't always grow up to go into the same professions (although a lot of them do).

I'm sorry that you've been struggling with getting back into rock/metal.

And, uh...this is a little off-topic and maybe conspiracy theory, but for what it's worth, I believe Kurt's suicide was staged.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my thread received zero replies =) It might've been too lengthy, I think.

Perhaps it is somewhat important to consider who we were, specifically, in a part life. But for many people, the past which they recall is impossible to identify, maybe because there are no records available, or it was long ago or in another country. Or maybe it was just an ordinary person caught up in some traumatic events such as war.

What really matters, the important part, is coming to terms with oneself, to grow to accept oneself, the good parts and the not-so-good parts. Just having the knowledge that some (possibly unidentifiable) past life is a contributing factor in our present self may be sufficient.

What I mean is, our mainstream culture tries to educate us and get us to believe that we are simply the result of heredity (whatever we got from out parents via genes) and environment, including family life and all the other influences during growing up. But the explanation fails so many times because it does not acknowledge that we already had some sort of identity, a sense of self, before we were even born. Just having the awareness that there is more, much more, to life that the simplified view of materialistic science, knowing there really is more, that can be enough.

Dotting every 'i' and crossing every 't', pinning down every last detail, I think in the end it just isn't realistic to try to do so every time. Looking outward and forward, that seems to me where energies are better spent.

I am hoping for you to guess who I was. I don't want to enjoy rock or metal. I le being who I am. Did you read my replies to the comments in the post including the one mentioning Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce and Courtney?

Oh, it sounded like you did.

    Yes.
I don't know about Time in a Bottle, that was a VERY popular song.
BTW, Jim Croce and his bandmate Maury Muehleisen were both killed in a plane crash in 1973...I don't know if you could find any more clues there, I don't think either of them played drums, but it wouldn't hurt to look.

What I meant was that when I heard time in a bottle was that I figured that Kurt heard it growing up around kindergarten and it was verified. It was mentioned in a book. His parents or some relative had a tape of popular songs that included this song. Kurt played the drums prior to the guitar in school in a school group of some sort. Two months ago, I was thinking about reincarnation and instantly thought that I was Kurt in a past life.
In addition he tried them later as well.

Hello Lili, and welcome to the forum!

IMO nobody from the outside can tell us or guess who we were in our past lives. (I wish it was that easy!) But everyone needs to find the answer within themselves. And often this takes a lot of time and patience.

I understand you wonder who you were and you would like to know as fast as possible. But many of us here have the experience that there are no quick and easy answers. Often it takes many years to get more and more memories over time, to do all the research to validate them and to put all the little pieces together one by one to finally get a clearer picture of our past lives.
After two months you are still at the very beginning of your journey. So take your time and don’t rush things.

Here is a good thread about this topic that might be helpful:

Sometimes it’s easy and alluring to think we were someone famous because famous people are often shown in media and they are the first that come to our mind when we think of a certain time period, of a talent or profession, of a place or whatever that was part of our past lives. But it’s not necessarily true we were them. It could be of course, but there were always much more unknown, average people around than famous people, so it’s more likely we were just one of those.
It’s possible you were someone similar to Kurt Cobain, or someone much inspired and influenced by him and his music, or someone who knew him personally. Or maybe the connection to him you feel is altogether nothing from a past life. Maybe you identify and sympathize with him (subconsciously) because of current life issues and similarities.

I think you will need to have much more actual memories (like dreams, flashbacks, visions during meditation/regression, etc …) to find out who you were and what you did in your past life. Sharing some similarities, likes/dislikes and coincidences with someone famous from the past is not enough. It’s possible for anyone to find at least some similarities and coincidences with many famous people if one just looks close enough. Doesn’t mean this was us in a past life. It’s not impossible, though.

IMO you should think about all other possibilities before jumping to conclusions. This thread might also be helpful to you:
