I’m still fairly new here, and have pondered the same question! It was very hard for me to decide on my username, as I wanted to represent at least one past life but couldn’t decide which. I ended up choosing something medieval, as my brother, mom and I have had many medieval lives. Also my mom remembers a life in the medieval times in which she was walking down an aisle of tapestries.

The Lady and the Unicorn is the title given to a series of six tapestries woven in the late fifteenth century, and is considered one of the greatest works of art of the Middle Ages.

Five of the tapestries are commonly interpreted as depicting the five senses. The sixth displays the words "À mon seul désir". The tapestry's meaning is obscure, but has been interpreted as representing love or understanding.

It's a good question. This name is one of the first names I've ever used online everywhere. It stems back from when I made my first email account and I was trying to find a name that wasn't picked. Why wildcard popped in my head I don't know, but this variation wasn't used--and never is.

I guess it suits me, because as I've mentioned in my first post, a lack of an identity is kind of a defining trait for me.

Wu is actually my Chinese surname, it is also the name of the Wu empire during the 3 Kingdom period (Where my ancestors came from). Xin, well, means many things but one of them is happy, which not really describes me but its something which I like to become when I'm really old and live a life with no regrets

Lawyer Daggett was a character in a number of John Wayne's later westerns. He represented the 'new' way of settling disputes in the west at the turn of the 20th century.

It is reflective of my occupation- and my interest in the old west which I have always been drawn to.

I must say that I have not been able to discover a past life association with the US or old west- in meditations I hit a block with ww1.

I really must find a professional who does regression work- although they are thin on the ground in country Australia.

When I was a child I made that name up, and it sounded really nice and exotic.

Interesting topic. This username I chose because it had nothing to do with me, my life (present or past) nor my interests. That's because I guess I don't want to be recognized by the people who know me or my other (more frequent) usernames. I've already had people google my other username to check where I was logged in :(

The first time I chose the username Marita was when I wanted to log incognito to some forum that I was honestly embarrassed for visiting. And the name Marita stayed. The sufix Mari comes from the inability to register to some forums as only Marita (because the username is usually taken) so i added the first 4 letters to the main username and it sounded ok so I kept it as a reserve incognito username. Paranoid, huh?:freak:

    hi,

im new here, but i guess this is a good a place to start as any!

this (and other variations) is my go-to name, for any online site that i am a member of. ive had artistic talents from a very young age. im actually convinced they accumulated from past lives, since ive been able draw, play music by ear and learn languages quickly, from a very young age.. anyway, as soon as this name came to me a few years ago it just felt right, and it stuck.

I think that my username pretty much explains itself. Since I was a youngster(I am 38 now), I have always felt that I just wouldn't live for x amount of years, die, then that was it. I have always had the unshakable feeling that I have been to other places in different times.

I just could never explain the feelings that I had. I am just a man looking for answers, without the benefit of knowing who to ask the questions that I have been wanting to ask for quite some time. Hopefully I can get the answers on this forum.

Kohr-Ah is the name of an evil alien race in Star Control 2. It was also the name of their leader. There are two types of Ur-Quan: green and black. Green Ur-Quan are called Kzer-Za and the black Ur-Quan are called Kohr-Ah. I just took that name. There is no deeper meaning behind it.

Anyone remembers the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie? back in 2006 i felt like "The white owl at the other side of the window", I even had a poem about it and everything. So that' s what my original username was going to be "WhiteOwl" but i thought it sounded White supremacist or something along the lines, so i just wrote Owl.

My user name is the name of the mysteriuos woman in the Bayeux Tapestry. One of my most profound pastlife memories is of working on this tapestry. The name means "elf gift" in the old Saxon tounge.

Mine's self explanatory - although I usually use variations of my common ID: Kapitan Prien, I just decided to use Kapitan here. Don't know why really, but probably because I was a sea captain during my 19c lifetime, and then also earned my captain's ticket in '32 (even though I never got a command due to the economy at the time) - and then again a captain of a U-Boat.

So this kind of covers all the times I have either been a captain or had the authority to be one.

I picked "Mammatus" because I'm a storm chaser, aspiring meteorologist, and am generally fascinated by tornadoes. And I watch too much "Twister" :cool

Imagine my reaction when I found out what "Mammatus" came from in Latin

My husband thinks I'm too gentle with a clutch. He says I pussyfoot the clutch and gave me the nickname of "Shiftkitty".

At first I thought he was saying "Shiftkiddie", being a play on "scriptkiddie", or an old tech term for someone who can only copy programming scripts from books and sucks at making up scripts of his own. I thought he was saying that I didn't know how to work a clutch. No, turns out he just wants me to "lay a patch" a little more often! Screeeeeeeeeech!

As I explained much earlier, I just plain like water, sadly I live too far inland to see as much water as I would like, but while looking out of the patio door of my home, I can see a river!!!

However after half a century :) I'm no longer a lad or laddie anymore (paying homage to my Scottish heritage, also).

I've come to realize what a "Heinz 57" I am in this lifetime, German (and a wee bit of Celtic) on my Father's side and German, Scottish and Irish (Celtic) on my Mother's side, with some Dutch thrown in somewhere for good measure!!!

So (water = hydro + boy = lad) hence "hydrolad" (the sign of the water boy, NOT the football team variety).

My username refers to the biggest question of my life, which (to date) remains unanswered.

Despite spending the last 43 years with a rather large question mark hanging over my head, I have found it a bit easier to navigate this life by recently realizing that the thing I always suspected (from a very early age) is true: the main purpose of all human existence is to love as much as possible.

    Arnold Vinette

Arnold Vinette is a pen name I use for publishing.

Arnold is my true first name.

Vinette has its origins in Vinette, France.

Vinette France is a very small farm / agricultural area in the middle of France. I have never been there.

My older brother did some research and discovered our distant ancesters came from Vinette, France before immigrating to England 100 to 150 years ago.

In England the last name Vinette was anglicized to avoid any problems with French prejudice.

From England my recent relatives moved to the United States and Canada.

I use Arnold Vinette for all internet correspondence.

I use Gerania because I lOve geraniums (pelargoniums, really), they are so hardy and beautiful. I love gardening. Maybe I should just use it as my surname! I have had the pleasure of creating a number of gardens over the years....$$

Stalker is my favourite Tarkovsky's film. I don't know why but, after having watched it, my life changed. I believe that in the previous lives there is the possible explanation of that. ;)

I don't have very many fond memories of my childhood - but the one memory that I do have - probably the only one - is when the family used to spend the weekend camping at the beach. Those were the days when it was still safe to camp out without a tent - just mats spread out on the ground for sitting and lying on. I remember lying under the trees, listening to the sound of the waves, and looking up at the stars between the branches, before drifting off to sleep. The evening stars have always been my hope and comfort when life became unbearable.

I took part of my user name from a phrase in a song that I love: "Midnight diamonds, stud my heaven...southward burning like the jewels that eye your place..."

Sapphires because my favourite constellation is the Pleiades.

My user name is just the first two initials of my name, and my surname. Nothing fancy, no real meaning, just practical. I do have another user name, godzslayer66, and that has a meaning, but I won't tell what it is. It's not what most people assume, from just looking at the name, but I got sick and tired of correcting people's unjustified assumptions and decided to let others think what they want, since they will anyway.

it's not what it 'says about', but more what it 'means to' me.

helen is my grandma. she passed away about a year ago in her early 90's, and is the first person i ever spoke to about the possibility of past lives. she might be one of the most amazing people i've ever been able to meet, and i was very lucky to be her granddaughter.

she started to remember her own past lives pretty late in life...i think she was well into her 80's when she said she began to have 'daydreams' of them. she raised 5 kids, and said she loved to read and sit in the quiet often, and that's when they started happening. i guess the fact that she was finally given the peace to look into herself is what brought the memories on.

i made her tell me the ones she remembered over and over :) . i think there were 4 or 5 that i can recall now, but a lot of the details are sadly gone. one that stood out to me was where she not only remembered her life, but the "in-between" time that resulted from anger/hate she felt towards who was then a daughter-in-law.

not one story was extraordinary in the sense that anyone would find them too exciting, but i always did. the detail was wonderful, and she would tell me about who in that life was with her now. it seemed that one of her sisters and her husband in this life (i never really knew him as my 'grandpa' b/c he passed away when i was very young) were always with her. 'played' totally different roles, too, which i always thought was interesting. and by that i don't mean a friend and then a mother, but more that someone could be a close/kind person towards her in one life, and then cruel in another. weird, huh?

anyhow, i wish she had had a memory of me in one of them, because i don't have any memories of my own whatsoever. plus, i liked to think i would be with her again someday. she didn't, though.

finally, what's weird is that i can't understand why i made it plural.

Anaesthesia is a character I really liked from Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere," and subsequently used it for my first RPG character.

Thought it was neat to use here because of what happens to Anaesthesia in Neverwhere (Spoiler:She escorts the main character and the last place she was seen by the main character was killed off while trying to cross a bridge.)

And I agree with Mr. Gaiman-it's a great name for a girl! lol.

what my user name means to me

Ancient Aztec what that means to me is really everything to do with my past life as an Aztec young boy , I won't go into great detail about it on here. I am a woman in this life though. :)
