I’m happy to report that we’re making good progress toward a full and wonderful revitalization of the Forum. It’s too early to say anything specific. You will see posts as we make decisions. The short version is that we’re hatching plans so that the Forum will not only survive, but will thrive...
We appreciate, value, and understand how much the Forum means to you all. Carol and I agree! No question. But the reality is that we can’t continue to support or direct it much longer, and Tinkerman tells us it’s time for him to move on too. If the Forum is to continue, it needs new leadership...
I appreciate your “votes.” But this isn’t a survey. This is a plea for ideas and solutions for a path forward. Sure, we would love to keep it open forever. But practical matters make that unworkable.
My preference is 4) — to hand it over to new ownership and new leadership. Younger, tech-savvy...
Interesting question. Carol and I discussed it over dinner and we both have the same answer. The Forum has not changed our views, but it has deepened our understanding. That might make us sound closed-minded. We aren’t. We’re open to new ideas and correcting old ones. In fact, we’re surprised...
I’m picking up on the thread below, Very Sad to See the Board Fading Away.
Hello. Steve Bowman here, with Carol looking over my shoulder. Very interesting thread—especially the conjecture at the top about what’s happening to the Forum and why it’s slowing down. Carol and I are trying to decide...
Hello. Very interesting thread—especially the conjecture at the top about what’s happening to the Forum and why it’s slowing down. Carol and I are trying to decide what to do with the Forum.
I’m going to start a new thread in this Lounge so you can all join our deliberations and share ideas.
The Washington Post just published an excellent article about children who remember past lives. It features Jim Tucker. It fails to mention Carol at all. This could be a chance to set the record straight if this author were to follow up with an article that spotlights Carol's pioneering work and...
How are we handling these suggestions? I think Sarra has a good point. Dark mode is the kind of detail that we older people don't appreciate that young people expect, and the kind of suggestion we welcome. Thank you @Sarra for explaining this.
Totoro. I love it! Maybe a little past life humor. But the main appeal should be something like: "If you got value from this Forum, please pay a little of it back so that we will always be here for you and for other souls who follow."
Any volunteers for FaceBook Ambassador? We do have a FaceBook page, but I don't know what it does now. I'm not a FaceBook person.

Creating a non-profit and all that is a long-term goal, nothing we're going to do right now. I'm just framing our current modernization as a step, a stage, towards the Reincarnation Forum being an institution not dependent on any individuals, including Carol and me.
I agree that defining roles...
Karen, what would it take to make collaboration with ICRR a reality? Can we start a dialogue about that? To the extent it requires modifications to our policies and procedures here, we need to get our mods and leaders in on the discussion. And Carol, or course. But I agree, whatever differences...
Wow. All good stuff. This is exactly the kind of issues that Carol and I want to bring out into the open. The big idea, here in 2022, is that the Reincarnation Forum (after its recent near-death experience) be modernized and retooled to resume its role as a leader and force for good among the...
@landsend Have you tried accessing the XenForo community forum? That's a great place for questions like this. I'm encouraging mods to get in the habit of going there to learn XenForo better and solve problems.
It's at https://xenforo.com/community/ Go there and register. I think to get into...
