Thank you for that suggestion Argonne and taken your advice. I have literally just done that with him and feel quite sickened. I loaded google images and typed in meth house clean up and he looked over and started scrolling with his finger as though he was looking for something. He then said where is the horrible man and the horrible woman.
He then saw a picture of a very dirty house (dirt beyond belief) and said nothing but found a picture of a kitchen that was unhygienic but not horrid and said that's the horrible house.
I asked him if he had any toys in the horrible house and he said no.
He then started scrolling again and I thought maybe this is too much but he wasn't scared by the images but was looking for something. I searched meth addicts teeth. He then scrolled through, then unperturbed found one with horrible teeth, mostly missing in the front, all but 1 and he said in a I found you voice, that's the horrible mans teeth. He was so pleased with himself. The image made my stomach turn, but he recognised it and was just natural with it. He just described the teeth and said the horrible woman had some teeth missing, and said again that's the horrible mans teeth.
I then typed in play pen (just had an instinct to do that) and he shouted in an excited voice 'cages', as though that is what he was looking for. He then found a hexagon type cage amongst hundreds of images and said there is the cage. The horrible man put me in the cage and the horrible woman punched my face. He said it as though it was second nature. He then said the cage was full of breakfast and fluff. The cage he showed me was material on the outside but had no base.
I then showed him hazmat suits and he didn't recognise them, made no comment. I then looked up play pen again, to see if he really recognised the cage. He then scrolled through hundreds again and found the exact same one and said 'my cage'.
He got up off the couch next to me and is now playing with his sister as though nothing just happened and the most horrible images I have ever seen, didn't phase him one bit.
My friend said her son saw a meth lab image and was terrified for weeks, my son is still happy playing as though he hasn't seen anything horrible. My daughter would have been so scared by the people in those images.
Do I continue to show him images? I don't want to plant these horrid things in his mind.
