3 yr old starts elaborating on PL

I never thought that when my son was telling me he's died, that it was in reference to a past life. Last week though, he suddenly began telling us that he died when the girl crashed. We asked questions to pull out the rest. He said he'd died when Margo crashed the go-cart she was driving and in which he was a passenger. We dont know anyone named Margo and i dont think hes ever even heard the name! That's all we've gotten so far. If his sisters mention it or ask, he gets angry and says "no!".

Since he was about 2 he'd been telling us he died. I never thought more than it was strange that a young child would be speaking of death. In the last year (he just turned 3), I've found him laying down on the floor throughout the house with his eyes closed and he says he's dead. Again, I thought it was odd but nothing more. Last night he was getting tired and went into a rage about having to "clean it up". Not sure what it was all about but it was very out of the ordinary. And honestly, that's just how I feel about other little things about him. He's been afraid of bubble wrap since he was a tiny infant. He would scream and cry and get very nervous. Still does it to this day.

Once, when he was just about a year old, we'd just moved to a new neighborhood and were driving around and passed a waterfall. He blurted out "there's the falls". Very matter of fact-like. I had a strange feeling when he did it because he didn't speak like that yet. I can't remember specifics but I know there have been some. I didn't pay much attention because I didn't think it was anything. Now, I suspect he's been recalling a past life.

Lately when he goes out without me with my husband, he says to me "don't worry mom, I'm not gonna die" or he says "I won't die" when he goes outside to do play. He also says "don't worry mom we're not going on the highway". Talking about the highway has been frequent since he was younger too. Most times when I go to get on a highway, he'll start screaming and crying saying "don't get on the highway" or "I didn't want to go this way". There've been several instances when he tells me as I'm driving that I was supposed to go another way. He seems to know the landmarks on those instances as well! The instances are so out of the norm that I have wondered why.

Well, I now know to document all of it and he's a lot more verbal so there will probably be more details to come.

Thanks for sharing your sons' experiences Luckyspin, and welcome to the forum. :)

It certainly sounds as if he's remembering a past life, and I commend you for treating all of this with an open mind whereas most parents would simply dismiss it all as an overactive imagination.

Unless your son is showing any signs of distress over his memories, then I wouldn't worry too much. Most children begin to forget about their past lives around the age of 5 or 6 as they become more involved with what is going on in their present life. But there is no harm in asking him basic questions, as long as you don't try and lead him towards specific answers. Just questions like - can he remember his name? the kind of clothes he wore? did he have any friends? and so on, nothing complicated, and then write any answers down for future reference.

It's also a good idea to reassure him that he's safe with you now, and loved, and that he's not going to die if that's a concern.

Have you read either of Carol's books: Children's Past Lives: How Past Life Memories Affect Your Child and Return From Heaven: Beloved Relatives Reincarnated Within Your Family, both very easy to read, and full of useful information, a lot of which you will probably relate to.

Thanks again for joining and sharing with us. Feel free to ask any questions, and please keep us updated. :)

Judging from what he is saying the accident occurred in the town you moved to. Margo could be a nickname or the name of the driver.

My guess is your son was the passenger and the accident was on the highway in your town. I would do a search of local newspapers or ask firemen, etc in the area.

Good luck to you and welcome to the forum.

I would search the internet. Most news stories are now stored on the internet. You can search using "auto accident", "Margo", the name of your city, county, state, etc. People on this forum have been very good at tracking these things down, sometimes within 24 hours. There is also a website called www.newspaperarchive.com. They have digitized thousands of newspaper microfilm archives from around the world going back decades or even centuries.

Are you near Denver by any chance? There are probably more news stories like this, but I just did a quick google search.

I tried a quick search but couldn't come up with a Margo. Margo, however, could be a nickname. Did you get a feeling that Margo was male or female?

Argonne is correct. Internet searches can do wonders. :)

Margo is a female name, but could be a last name, or from another language, like "Margeaux" in French. Being three years old, could he have mixed up Margo and Fargo? I'm thinking about what little kids sometimes do to words - i.e. "niloleum" for "linoleum". Or there's the infamous "spasghetti". I think I would research "Margeaux".

Could Margo be a nickname for Margaret? Do kids in France have go-karts? Maybe Quebec? The highway sounds like a developed country. What was the boy's name?

When I think of go-karts I picture the old fashion kind. But here is a video of the modern kind. You might try showing your son pictures or videos of go-karts. Maybe it will trigger some more memories and he will tell you more about what happened. You can ask him open ended questions, especially at bedtime when he is sleepy. Also riding in a car puts them in the right mental state for bringing these memories to the surface. Some people here have successfully had past life conversations with their children while giving them a bath.

Welcome to the forum Luckyspin,

Thank you for sharing your story. The most important thing you should do - you are already doing. Listen, ask questions and keep a journal. No need to do a bunch of research trying to locate who he was before. That can come later if you wish to pursue it. He is at the right age to begin taking about a past life, and you have a few years yet where he might say more. So don't rush it, just be observant. Should you feel you need help or he is expressing trauma, stress or fear please do not hesitate to contact Carol directly.

I look forward to any other experiences you might have with him.

Welcome Luckyspin!

It sounds like your son is remembering a past life. The best thing you can do to help him learn & heal from his experiences, is to always listen to him with an open mind and heart. If he sees you are ok with him speaking out about it, he will feel more ok about remembering it. Don't pressure him for answers, but absolutely pay attention and take notes of anything he tells you.

Keep us in touch with your journey, and feel free to post any questions you may have about the process you go through. :)

Update..

Thank you so much for all the information. I feel better knowing that there are others out there who believe in this and support it.

Today my son started up with the highway issue again. This time I asked if he's afraid of the highway and he said yes. I then asked him if he knew why he was afraid and he nodded. I was trying to maintain composure, drive and watch him through the rear view mirror! He then proceeded to say "I was killed at (or by) the trees." I saw him look out to the side of the road towards trees. I asked him if this was when he was with Margo and he nodded and said "when she crashed." I told him "It's my turn to take care of you now and I'm not going to let that happen to you." He nodded again.

The strange thing is, I woke up this morning having had a frightening dream. When I woke up I realized I've had this dream before. I immediately began my own research. My dream is that I'm driving down a road that is heading towards an airport and I come up to a turn just before the airport and lose control of the vehicle and we're heading towards woods! In my dream, I'm conscious that we're going to be killed due to my driving. This time, I'm praying to God that he only take me. I'm thinking of my children at that moment but I don't feel it's my children who were with me. I'm also wondering why I'm going so fast. I'm also aware of the fact that its a small car I'm driving. I feel as if we died but I always wake up before we hit the trees. I took note of what it all looked like and my research led me to a small airport in the UK. Looks very similar to what I saw in the dreams. We've never been to the UK nor know anyone there, or talk about it. We far across the pond in NJ.

Much later in the day when my son revealed his fear, I was choked up thinking of all of this. I have been looking around this site. For the last couple days prior to posting and thought I would try to ask that his past life be revealed to me before I went to bed. Guess maybe I got what I asked for!

Luckyspin, Welcome to the forum. Your own dream experience makes your story even more intriguing. Please keep us posted, and feel free to ask any questions that come to mind.

This is a new twist. Very interesting. Maybe Margo/Margeaux lost control and they crashed into trees. Your dream is not exactly what he is reporting. It's possible one of you could be telepathically picking up the other's dream or memory, but I would think there would be more similarities. Have you ever thought about doing meditation or a past life regression using self-hypnosis? It's good you are letting him know that happened a long time ago and he is safe now.

Does he seem to have intuitive or psychic ability? Does he know things before they happen? Does he seem to know what you are thinking or finish your sentences? Or it could be possible that his past life was in the same area. Investigating past life memories is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

Very intriguing story, made even more so by your dream. Your dream makes me wonder if he and Margo were both children / teenagers or if they were a parent and child, and if Margo was also killed. "Margot" I think is the more popular spelling in the UK. I agree that what you should be doing is absolutely what you're already doing - reassuring him he's safe in the now with you and he's not going to die. Best of luck to you, keep us posted!

I hadn't even considered the British version of the name. Very interesting.

Your latest post makes me wonder if perhaps you were Margo ... but then you did ask to be shown what happened to him.

Be careful driving ... looking in the mirror while talking about such a sensitive subject can lead to tragedy.

Geez ... now I sound like my mother ... LOL ...

Next time ask him if he knows the name of the town where he lived, and if he knew his name or either last name.

I love mysteries like this. Let me know if I can help you.

additions

He is my fourth child and only son.

I did not find out his gender until he was born.

One week before I knew I was pregnant with him, I had a dream that my husband and I were playing with a baby boy and he had down’s syndrome.

The firsts tests I had while pregnant revealed the baby had a very high chance of being a down’s syndrome baby. I did not want to have any invasive testing like an amniocentesis but the doctors suggested more testing to be certain. The night before I was to go in for a sonogram, I had a dream of my baby boy telling me “they will find two things wrong, but I will be fine”. That’s exactly what happened. (My dreams have done this to me for the 9/11 tragedies and the death of John Travolta's son among other "forecasts").

I found out I had Lyme disease and mono two hours after finding out I was pregnant.

He has been telling us he died for at least a year now.

He started telling us he died when she crashed and then when she crashed the go-cart, for about 1-2 months. Although my three daughters tell me he’s been saying this for a while. It was only when he gave me a little more detail and a name last week, that it dawned on me that this could be a past life.

He is beginning to talk about it more now. Yesterday he told my mother we do not go on highways anymore because “I was dead by the trees and now I’m scared of the trees”. Since revealing this to me the other day, he reminds me as we get in the car, not to take the highway.

He has heard and sensed others in our house while we’re here alone. About a month ago, I was in the another room and sensed someone was near me. At that same time, he said “mom, who’s here?” Did you hear that man call you?” “He said hey (then revealed my name)”. Naturally, I didn’t hear it.

He told me that my brother, his uncle, had once died. My brother recently had a friend tell him that she sees his past life in which he was murdered!

My husband told me that when we first brought him home from the hospital and he would sleep in the bassinette next to us, he’d wake up and find us holding hands.

He saw a photo of our old house that he lived in until just before he turned one, and he said “I want to go back to that place, I miss it there” and cried. Not sure if that has anything to do with any of this, but I’m curious as to how he would even remember that house.

He is extremely concerned when I’m upset. He worries tremendously that he’s upset me.

He told me yesterday that Margot was not nice. I asked who she was, his mom, his sister, … and he shook his head each time. He said she took him. He also does not know what his name is or where he lives.

I am open to any ideas/possibilities. I just don’t want to see him as nervous as I’ve seen him as in car rides.

I am going to see a woman that specializes in past life regression. I’ve had my own feelings of having had a past life and maybe they will lead to my son. I am scared I may be Margot but want to find peace for us.

He must be a really sensitive little guy. I don't think anything matters as much as making him feel safe. It's obvious that you are doing everything you can to help him. I think it's good that you're having a regression done. It's a starting place, and then if you need more help, I'm sure Carol Bowman can help, or refer you to someone who can. Keep us posted, and bless both of you!

You may want to contact Carol Bowman directly through this website. She knows therapists all over the country who are open to past lives. They could help your son find out where the fears are coming from. Once the source of the fear is identified it will go away. It also sounds like your son has a lot of psychic ability, which is not surprising. I'll send you a PM about another site you may want to check out.

"She took me" sounds like he may have been kidnapped. Very sad, actually. If that is the case he may not have been documented and his death may not have been mentioned in the newspapers.

Can you research the house you used to live in? There is a chance his memories may be related to it.

Also, each time you drive I would reassure him that he is safe and that you are in a car, not a go cart. He is safely buckled in his car seat and you have your seat belt in.

Maybe try talking to your daughters and ask what he has told them. It sounds like he has talked to them about it much more than you. Be careful with them, as well, to ask open ended questions.

If "she took him" it could have been a family friend, neighbor, or baby-sitter going for a joy ride. May have been a teen, they are kind of reckless at times. Or family custody battle? Maybe you will get some more clues. Go-kart is fairly modern, so I would guess within the last 50 years.

That is very true. So many loose ends on this one, we will need more information to figure it out.

I think the reason he doesn't have many details is because he was so young when he died. Adults seem to remember many more details. Babies probably remember the least.

He may have forgotten some as well. I would be interested in what the siblings have to say. He may have told them much more.
