I never thought that when my son was telling me he's died, that it was in reference to a past life. Last week though, he suddenly began telling us that he died when the girl crashed. We asked questions to pull out the rest. He said he'd died when Margo crashed the go-cart she was driving and in which he was a passenger. We dont know anyone named Margo and i dont think hes ever even heard the name! That's all we've gotten so far. If his sisters mention it or ask, he gets angry and says "no!".
Since he was about 2 he'd been telling us he died. I never thought more than it was strange that a young child would be speaking of death. In the last year (he just turned 3), I've found him laying down on the floor throughout the house with his eyes closed and he says he's dead. Again, I thought it was odd but nothing more. Last night he was getting tired and went into a rage about having to "clean it up". Not sure what it was all about but it was very out of the ordinary. And honestly, that's just how I feel about other little things about him. He's been afraid of bubble wrap since he was a tiny infant. He would scream and cry and get very nervous. Still does it to this day.
Once, when he was just about a year old, we'd just moved to a new neighborhood and were driving around and passed a waterfall. He blurted out "there's the falls". Very matter of fact-like. I had a strange feeling when he did it because he didn't speak like that yet. I can't remember specifics but I know there have been some. I didn't pay much attention because I didn't think it was anything. Now, I suspect he's been recalling a past life.
Lately when he goes out without me with my husband, he says to me "don't worry mom, I'm not gonna die" or he says "I won't die" when he goes outside to do play. He also says "don't worry mom we're not going on the highway". Talking about the highway has been frequent since he was younger too. Most times when I go to get on a highway, he'll start screaming and crying saying "don't get on the highway" or "I didn't want to go this way". There've been several instances when he tells me as I'm driving that I was supposed to go another way. He seems to know the landmarks on those instances as well! The instances are so out of the norm that I have wondered why.
Well, I now know to document all of it and he's a lot more verbal so there will probably be more details to come.
