A name jumped into my head today...

Hi guys, long time no see!

As I was playing word puzzles on my computer, drifting around in a strange semi-focused state, the name "Nora Brindle", clear as day, in black type, popped into my head.

The name seemed familiar, my first assumption was that it was the name of one of the forum members, or maybe an actress...

I went off and looked up the name anyway, and found out a few things, had some spooky hunches...which I'll relate if anyone's interested!: angel

Just to be sure, does anyone recognise the name?

We do have a member called norabrindle, but I haven't seen her around for a while. ;)

Ah, you see I knew I'd seen that name before! Can't for the life of me remember ever speaking to them on here though, or any reason for the name hitting me like that, I could be wrong...

Well, there's very few Nora Brindle's documented, in fact almost everything referred to an old lady who lived what looked like a very long and eventful life. However when I looked at Newspaperarchive.com, there was a little paragraph about a "Miss Nora Brindle, aged 13" who was "accidentally shot and killed by William Garver, 18, who was handling a double barrelled shotgun and did not know it was loaded" This was in 1893.

The funny thing being that recently I've been meditating on how many ways I have died, and just today I was saying that I've almost died or been killed in lots of ways in THIS life...measles aged 2 didn't quite do it, neither did falling in a fishpond and inhaling half of it aged 3, nor being thrown repeatedly down a Victorian staircase by my older brother, who also failed to kill me when I was 8 by smashing me in the head with a plank! Been electrocuted, fell asleep in the snow and nearly froze to death, heat stroke... It's amazing!

Just recently I have accidentally been hit in the face, three times in three months, the last of which was being woken up by getting head butted in the bridge of the nose, as my boyfriend had a hypoglycaemic fit in his sleep.

Anyway, I'm trying to remember my point:rolleyes: , I'd gone to sleep listening to some hypnosis mp3's with a view to finding out about my previous deaths, and when I was awoken by being smashed in the face, with accompanying firework display, I really thought someone had blown my head off, I really thought this is what it's like to be shot in the face... two days later I'm playing on the computer and Nora Brindle pops into my head.

I've quoted the article, it doesn't say much about where he shot her, or who he actually was, yet when I went back to read it the second time I was really surprised,I was convinced that it had said that she was shot in the face by her brother... Why on earth would I completely misread the article? I looked around for Brindles and a few years later a fellow called Brindle, in the same general area, was tried as an accessory to the murder and assault of two children... makes you wonder...

Eeeh 'eck, I don't know, mebbe it's 't blow t't ead wots addled me brains!:laugh:

WOW you have had many accidents this life!

Who knows maybe you were once Nora Brindle, have you tried meditating on her alone? I am interested in any results you get! :D
 
Hi Dawn,

Wow! Anything that "pops out" at you like that I think is important to make note of, imo. Especially since you had such a different thought about her being killed by her brother. ;)

Just my two cents -- but I think you should try and meditate on Nora for a while -- see what you get, document it -- and then do some research. Perhaps there is something more you could find out about this Brindle fellow and the two kids...

Let us know, how you proceed. I think you could also read through the posts of the norabrindle on this forum - you never know what you might find there. But I definitely think there's always a reason behind these "poppings". :)

:D Thanks everybody!

Whilst most of my head says "Look, you just randomly remembered someone's forum name", I do love a mystery! Also, as one of the very few members of my family who DOESN'T naturally get messages from beyond, it did make me sit up and take notice.

One other little strange coincidence... I mentioned instantly assuming that Nora's brother had shot her, well it immediately made me think about my present elder brother, (errr, let's call him "Anthony"), the one who spent a large amount of our childhood trying to bump me off...obviously!:) Well, he's now pretty much a recluse, holed up in his house most of the time. I have four brothers, one of which is much older, but the rest of us get on OK, and one of us three hears from "Anthony"maybe once a year. Personally I haven't spoken to him for about five years. He got rid of his phone, so we used used to communicate by email until he went offline... So he hadn't crossed my mind for months until Nora reminded me.
Anyway, yesterday I had an email from my youngest brother, on the spur of the moment he'd been to see "Anthony" for the first time in a year or so, and got his new email address for me. I hadn't told him anything about this, isn't that strange!?

I can only assume the universe is pushing me to investigate my past life relationship with "Anthony". Come to think of it (which I hardly ever do!), he's 18 months older than me and the closest to me in age, we had moments of being quite close, punctuated with running battles that often ended up with one of us down the hospital. But we two were the ones with all the wierd ideas, past lives, the occult, divination etc.

Since I've been actively trying to discover past lives I've not really thought much about family members, maybe I should... I've been too wrapped up in investigating Olive, my 20's lookalike.

Oh well, have to go cook!

It certainly sounds like you and Anthony have some sort of intense past life connection to work through. How fascinating! Do you know if your brother has any pl memories?

Hurrah!

Well, now I've got an email address for him I suppose it's time I found out! I know we had a lot of long conversations about such things when we were younger but I can't remember anything specific about his PL memories.

I know he's always been into weapons, collecting "Combat&Survival" magazines and buying replica guns etc. In England that's pretty odd, we don't have access to guns as a rule, most teenage boys get as far as an air pistol, but he just liked all kinds, especially working antiques, and gunpowder, boy he loved that. In those days you only got fireworks for a couple of weeks around November 5th, and he'd hoard them up to mess about with all year, making milkshake bombs and blowing up stuff...! :eek: OMG I just remembered something he did to me once, I'd just started smoking and he found a pack in my jacket, well he took some gunpowder out of a firework and poked it into the end of my cigarettes, then crumpled the pack so I'd think it had just got a bit squashed in my pocket. When I lit one it went off with a big whoosh of blue flame and smoke, scared the life out of me! Turned out OK, my friend Nik bought them off me for twice the going rate, to freak his friends out with!!
