My son, Brandon turned 3 years old on Sept. 3,2001. It was around that time that he began telling me incredible tales about how he died when he was big. Any parent of a young child would be surprised to hear the grusome tale of dying that my son shared with me not only once but several times. I believe he and I were having some quiet time together while the other children were napping when he told me that a man shot him and he died. Of course I was stunned and immediately began to think of where he could have gotten this story from. So I asked him what happened. He said that he went to a house and stole a man's horse. Two men came out of the house, and when Brandon ran they shot him. I thought he was making this up so I decided to go along with the tale. I asked him where he was shot, meaning what part of his body. And was surprised to hear the details of a horrible death. He told me that when the men caught him they shot him in the tall grass. And it hurt really bad in his head and in his "butt hind". That night I told my husband about our son's story. Ironically that very night we were watching an episode of unsolved mysteries that dealt with children's past lives. We both just turned to each other and said simultaneously, "Do you think it could be true?" Since then Brandon has mentioned other incidents that seem far fetched but we listen with interest to these tales about things that Brandon did when he was a big boy and lived with Papa in Heaven. Incidentally, his Papa passed away when Brandon was 1. Yet still he talks about doing things with his Papa that we know my father in law did earlier in his life. Like coon hunting. How would Brandon know these things since we never told him. The most recent memory occured last night. Brandon received a barrel of monkey's game from his Nana as a Christmas gift. He said to my husband, "Dad, you remember when I ate and ate and got big? I gave you a barrel of monkeys just like this from your teacher. Only you were a little boy like me and I was a grown up." The strange thing about this story is that my husband can remember getting that toy as a gift when he was a child. He doesn't remember who gave it to him. Do you think it's possible Brandon's stories are actual memories? We are beginning to believe it.
