Dr Ian Stevenson

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows a source I can get Dr Ian Stevenson's books from, without paying an absolute fortune for them? Everywhere I've looked they've just been extortionately expensive. I just can't afford (or justify) £40-ish for one book.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I've picked them up in used book stores, but that is hit or miss. I presume you've tried the usual on-line sources, like the used sellers on Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. I wanted Helen Wambach's books, which were out of print, and very expensive to buy new. I "haunted" Amazon until used copies appeared. I asked my college-age daughter your question, and she recommended that you check out www.abebooks.com. She said that people at her university use that source for other things than text books. I hope that helps!

Thanks BriarRose. I've had a look at Abebooks. I've also looked on Amazon, Ebay and Barnes & Noble. I think I may have to do what you did and 'haunt' the websites until something eventually appears at a reasonable price :)

You may NOT want to read Ian Steveson. He was not writing for a general or mass audience. He was writing to counter his scientific critics who said he was not doing scientific investigations. Even Carol Bowman said as much. Read her books first.

Thank you argonne1918. I have already read Carol Bowman's books. I'm looking for these with a view to writing a book myself in the future, so would like to read Dr Stevenson's work first-hand too.

They are probably out of print so search on amazon, ebay, abe's books, etc. Also used book stores, sales, etc.

Keeping an eye out on eBay will usually get you what you need. But you have to check every week.

As for good books on reincarnation - be sure to check out our book section here on the forum! It may give you some titles to look for.
