First Attempt With A PL Meditation Tape...

bluegreen

New Member
Hi There!

Wheee! I decided last night to try a youtube past life regression meditation. Thanx to the poster that mentioned that possibility in a previous post.

It was real easy for me to get into it. At one point..the person tells you to look into a mirror. Boy...was I shocked. I looked into the mirror and saw I believe a woman staring back at me.

She had dark hair..I believe that she was in her mid twenties. She was wearing an outrageous headdress. Medieval age.

The few things that I was able to pick up was what a sour puss she was...Vain...Spiteful...Extremely superficial...Very Materialistic, indeed.

I just had a few flashbacks...I saw her walk down a cobblestone street. Another of her scolding two young children. And lastly one of her being violently ill.

I was quite please that I was able to get a quick result with the meditation but I really didn't want to stay in this recollection. This person was so negative. So unlike me now! Ha!

Boy, was I surprised that I found pictures of kind of the headdress that she was wearing. Extremely uncomfortable..I would believe. The headdress resembles the one which the wife of Philip the Good wore in her portrait but not so grand.

I have been thinking all day about this recollection. The person that I saw in the mirror is so mentally different from the person that I am today.

I can see that one must be very careful while doing these past live tapes...I have some experience dealing with this stuff but others...Hmmmm...Anyway! Be positive...everyone! Helena

Congratulations Helena, and thanks for sharing. Great validation by the way finding the pictures of the headdress -

It sounds like you may have already learned some lessons from that particular lifetime with your outlook on life today.

I haven't had a chance to try that YouTube regression yet as i've been sick the last couple of weeks, but as soon as I'm well enough, maybe over the forthcoming holiday, I might have a go at that myself. Seems to be a few members have had some good results with it.

Chris - :)

Hi Helena and thanks for sharing!

It's great you got a result at first try. I really want to give that youtube-thingy a try to, but it won't be until after christmas :)

Please share more if anything pops up about this woman? Did you get a date? A place? :)

Hi Helena!

Thanks for sharing! I'm very curious about that youtube thing, I'll look it up and give it a try myself.

I think that it is very interesting when we "run into" a PL where we were very different from what we are today - it's can be a bit scary too, I guess:tongue:, because the way we perceive our choices and thoughts from back then is sort of double tracked.

Do post if you come up with more information about the personality of this person your soul once was. I have been wondering lately about the way this whole thing works..... but that's a whole other thread!

Congrats!

Love

I'm glad someone else got results from the youtube thing.
I tried it this morning and I was getting there, I was nice and relaxed and in 'the zone' and at the stage where I was in front of the mirror and the regressionist was counting down..."5...4...3...2...1.......ding dong.....you have mail!!!" and that was the end of that - :D  :o - so a little tip, remember to turn off your email checker before you start - :o

I actually tried this before, but I felt that the meditation that I found was really cheesy and I couldn't focus on the meditation. Did you all use a specific video, or did you each use different vids?

I tried the YouTube tapes

After reading this thread a few days ago, I searched online for the YouTube meditation tapes. I am very much a novice at all of this and had never attempted any type of regression before. The first time I tried the tapes I was able to relax quite nicely but really had no other experience other than a feeling of peace. Later I tried again and when the voice said look into the mirror I saw the legs of a man. My attention was drawn to the pants and the boots. The boots were dark brown (almost black - but not quite); they had rounded toes and showed the scuffs and dirt of being well used. The pants were also dark brown and of a course wool. While I normally think of wool pants as being formal, these were definitely wool work pants. I could also see the ground; it was very dusty, mainly hard dirt with very little vegetation. I tired to look up to see the rest of the man, the location etc. but my focus kept coming back to the boots - the detail was amazing I can still remember and almost feel the texture of a deep scuff on the right boot. It seems rather strange that I would focus on this; but as I said I am a complete novice at this so I shall try again and maybe have more luck.

Moderation: discussion continued here Is this a past life memory? :)

Hi again!

I tired to look up to see the rest of the man, the location etc. but my focus kept coming back to the boots - the detail was amazing I can still remember and almost feel the texture of a deep scuff on the right boot.
It is amazing, isn't it? The way some thing feel so detailed and clear, the touch, the smell... like memories do, I guess. ;)

It seems rather strange that I would focus on this; but as I said I am a complete novice at this so I shall try again and maybe have more luck.
I think it was good work you got done there, Alex! I have wondered why is it that we sometimes focus on details like boots, trousers (in my particular case :D ). In my opinion it could be a "random" tip of the iceberg, just as your eye sometimes gets caught in little things when you go into a room. Or it could be something that holds a deeper meaning you are not aware of yet.

hm.... I do have to try the U-tube stuff. I am so curious, but I haven't found the time for it yet. By the way Alex, did you like the tapes?

Congratulations, Alexnovo! All that detail about your shoes, trousers and the landscape is a good start to past life research.

YouTube Regression Tapes

Hi. I haven't been here in a long time, but I'm back now. I tried one of the youtube tapes tonight, and I had a memory of myself as a little girl--probably 6 or 7--in 1936 Berlin. I had very blonde curly hair. I always wore dresses, and little black patent-leather baby-doll shoes. Those shoes were dear to me; they were shiny and soft, and I really treasured them--even though I feel that I was from a wealthy family and probably had lots of shoes. I also wore a fancy little black and white coat that I was very proud of. I was holding the hand of a man I believe to be my father. He was wearing a soldiers' uniform. We were walking down the sidewalk past a park in Berlin on a beautiful, sunny day. I was thrilled to be with him, and he was very happy, too. The birds were singing, and I felt a wonderful sense of contentment.

These are the first memories of this little girl. I hope I can remember more soon.

Hi PrincessShell, welcome back :)

Thanks for sharing, is that the first time you've had any success with regressing yourself? It's a great start and don't forget to write down whatever comes to you, however small or insignificant it may be now, it could be a big piece of the puzzle later on.

Have you tried looking at pictures of Berlin on the internet? There must be loads of the time period you remembered, you never know, one of them might trigger some feelings in you.

Please keep us posted if you remember any more.

Chris :)

Hi PrincessShell: I too welcome you back. It is wonderful that you are having success with the tapes. I agree that you should keep a journal and note everything, no matter how small, down in it. As a curiosity, I wonder is this the first hint you have had of a prior life in Germany?

German Life

Thanks for the Welcomes! :)

Yes, this is the first hint I've had about a life in Germany. This is also the first regression I've done. I'm pretty sure I had a life connected to the movie business, but I haven't had any actual memories. I just know SO much about making movies that, in this life, I have no way of knowing. This German memory is brand new. I keep questioning myself--wondering whether this could be real, but it feels completely real, and I'm trying to just trust that.

I am keeping a journal, and I'm hoping to try to regress again ASAP. Thanks for the support! I'll keep y'all posted!

Update

Just to update: I tried the youtube regression again last night, and---nothing. I'll try again later tonight. Maybe I'll have some luck this time.

Good luck, and keep trying, sometimes it takes a few attempts, just persevere with it, you can do it :)

Hello PrincessShell. Welcome to the forum.

Luck has nothing to do with it. :)

If you are having trouble 'getting into the zone' I recommend taking at least an hour before your next 'attempt' to sit quietly and clear your mind first. It is no good trying to 'tune in' to your deepest memories and, indeed, your 'self' if your mind is full of static, just as it's no good trying to cook a fabulous meal in a kitchen that has dishes piled up in the sink. First you need a 'clean canvas' to work on. Or, think of it as an athlete doing a few stretches before running a marathon.

Some suggestions for 1 hour of meditation preparation for beginners 1.01: (for anyone, not just the lovely PrincessShell):

1. Find a quiet, private place. Shut the door. Turn off the phone.

2. Create a pleasant and quiet environment. Light some incense, put on some comfortable clothes, soft music that you enjoy and/or find relaxing. Sit and listen (really listen) to one (1) or possibly two (2) track(s) all the way through. (No fidgeting).

3. Turn off the stereo (iPod) and light a candle. Just sit and look at it for 5-10 minutes (while trying not to fidget)

4. Blow out the candle, close your eyes, sit comfortably (not too comfortably, or you'll fall asleep!) and try to focus on nothing but your breathing for 50 breaths (in and out = 1). If you lose count, don't get distracted, just start again. Start from the number where you lost track or 1 whichever comes first.

5. When you get sick of that, just sit quietly for a bit and consider what you have learned so far.

Now you are ready.... The adventure begins. :)
