granddaughters stories

My granddaughter has talked about her other family since she was 3 1/2 years old, she is now 5 and I get new and more detailed information all the time. She talks about her other mom and dad and her 5 sisters and 1 brother. Last nite she told me they are all buried together in a large hoe. That is the first time she told me she died too. She will give me some names and general information about all of them, the most disturbing is that they were all murdered including her! She shows little emotion when talking but does say she misses them.
I would appreciate any advice or thoughts about this. Thanks

Welcome to our group. First of all you need to start a journal and write down everything she says that could be past life related. Even if it doesn't make any sense at the time. Second you can ask her open ended questions. For some kids the best time is around bed time when they are sleepy. Also riding in a car puts them in the right mental state for the memories to surface. It sounds like she is able to recall many details and is willing to share them with you. That's great. We would like to hear more details about what she is telling you. Don't worry about it being too long. The more details the better. Does she have any names, dates, locations? Anything that could be foreign language? The more details we have the easier it is to research. Also the "matter of fact" tone is very common when children talk about past life memories. That's how you know they are not "making it up." Also read Carol Bowman's books, "Children's Past Lives" and "Return From Heaven", if you haven't already. Another book you should read is called "Soul Survivor" by Andrea and Bruce Leninger. Also look at the book and video archive sections here for more resources.

Tmtrip, Welcome to the forum. Argonne gave you some good advice above. I would highly recommend Carol Bowman's book, it is written with these situations in mind and you'll find many answers and suggestions there. Carol checks into the forum occasionally, but I will also forward this to her.

Is the child showing any behavioral problems or sleeping issues? Keep in mind this too will pass and the most important thing is for her to be a happy vibrant child in this life. Past lives may be a key to the issues of sleep and behavior troubles and thus are useful to therapists and parents. Lacking those troubles your recording of them in a journal may be of use to your granddaughter as she enters adulthood.

Best of luck to you! Research, read and ask your questions here. What do her parents think of reincarnation and her discussions with you?

Welcome to the forum, tmtripp! Your daughter's story is amazing. I would love to hear more when you are ready to share.

Hi tmtrip, I'm glad you joined our group. It would be helpful to get a time period. Maybe you could ask her if she was wearing dresses, or pants? If she went to the store, how did she get there? Maybe you could casually show her an old-fashioned oil lamp, and see how she reacts. It's hard to think of ways to get information, without "leading" her too much.
