Hello

Where to begin... My name is Jeremy, I'm sixteen years old... I posted something about a past life on another message board, which was only replied with criticism from rather rude skeptics, So I feel a bit nervous (almost foolish) posting again...
Although I have not read the books, Someone had written me a E-mail telling me about them, Using a search engine to try and find out more, I stumbled upon this site and well, here I am. I'll try not to ramble off the subject...
When I was about 4 or 5, I remember having dreams about being a small boy that was also about 4 or 5. I recall in the dreams being in a place that wasn't "home", being with someone I knew, but not too well ... the place looked like a small apartment building, or a Hotel. To make a long story short, I dreamt the man who "I knew, but not too well" beat me to death in one of the hotel rooms in front of a girl that I think was my older sister... I excused this as a recurring nightmare and went on with my life...

Some years later, My Mom tells me about things that she said I told my Kindergarten teacher. As it goes... The teacher said to my Mom "I didn't know Jeremy was adopted", Which I'm not ... my Mom told her this, and the teacher told my Mom how I'd said my "real Mom and dad" burned up in a fire, and how my other Mom had curly red hair. I have no memory of ever telling this to anyone, But I do know I've always been a horrible liar, and how I could make a teacher believe what wasn't true is beyond me. Unfortunately those are the only things my Mom remembers, As she believed (and still believes) it was my imagination... I assume the teacher believed the same thing after that, because I never spoke of it again. When my Mom told me this about a year or two ago, I remembered the dreams I had of being the boy, And it made sense to me ... that if indeed all this was connected to a past life, then my parents died in a fire, turning custody of me and I think my sister over to a Relative or much older sibling or someone of that nature, where I was apparently killed...

So yes, My reason for posting (other then to Share)... Although I do hope to buy these books and read more about the subject, I was wondering how I might learn more about a past life, get more detail? Also how I might learn about Death records or something like that...

I'm rather torn about this. No ones really taken me seriously when I suggested it might be a past life, so I never talk about it, because I know the people around me would roll their eyes or just nod and move on to the next subject ... maybe I'm making too big a deal out of some nightmare I had. But then there's a part of me that wants to know what happened to the girl, If she died or if she's still alive somewhere. Ah well... I think I've said all I can on the subject...

Thanks for reading this..

Hi Japtar, you've come to the right place. As for 'remembering', memories have just come back to me starting about 3 or so years ago. I think you'll really enjoy reading Carol and Steve's book. They're fantastic (the people and the book)

Hope you're having a great day and welcome to the forum.

Take Care, -Kathy.

Dear japtar,
As far as learning about your life before I would suggest putting together some pre recorded self induced relaxation/meditatio tapes.
Basically you find a read through that you like. (I went through several before I found one I was comfortable with.) You then read the lead in into a tape recorder so that you can use it later.
I would not try to focus on the horrific experience of being beaten to death. But I would try to see whether you could get the five year old to answer some basic questions like, What's your name? Where do you live? What year is it?! (Things that most kids know without it being an emotional trigger)
It's those details that can help you further your search. Right now, you need a name, a date, and a place.
Good luck.

Hi Japter

Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry to hear about your other experiences sharing this, but I'm sure you'll find a much warmer crowd in here and hope we can all help you find some answers.

Self-meditations tapes are a start as Catseye indicated, also maybe meditating and looking for a technique that you feel comfortable could help - trust in yourself and your gut instincts and follow your heart to find the answers.

Considering the previous revelations happened in dreams - maybe assert before going to sleep that you would like a dream on this "life" and to gain more answers to help your search "within", start journaling your thoughts and feelings on everything, record any dreams you feel are connected, or any moments of thought that come through....note everything, and slowly place the pieces together bit by bit.

As with any search for knowledge or understanding, read everything you can get your hands on. Reading and thinking about the possibilities suggested can also work to trigger our thoughts toward finding our own answers.

Lots of Love

Hey Japtar...my name is Lanna, I'm 15. It was great reading your post...many people our age don't believe in reincarnation or don't want to acknowledge it for fear of being "weird". Trust me, it took me forever to get the courage to admit my past lives to others. You'll find that everyone here is very kind and understanding...you really can't say anything that people will think is "stupid". Your memories seem very clear - that's great! Learning and remembering past lives has been a really cool adventure for me in the past few years, I hope you get as much out of the experiance as I do. Well, I just wanted to welcome you and congradulate you for stating your beliefs. See you around!

Dear Japster, I just came across your post and hopefully you are still coming in to this site.

You gave me an interesting thought. When I was little, a had a sister who insisted she was adopted. I mean, there were 3 of us and 16 mos. difference in our ages. We looked like triplets... no one could tell us apart. In fact, we dressed alike, our dolls were dressed like us, and sometimes our mother dressed like us.. we looked like a parade. So, where my sister got the idea she was adopted, I never knew, unless like you she was truly having a past life remembrance. Thanks again for sharing and giving me that insight.

Its funny the thoughts you have as a child, I always thought I was adopted too!. There's no good reason for this, I had a very 'normal' and happy childhood but the feeling of not fitting in remians still. I don't still think I'm adopted though! It really effected me in my teenage years, I went of the rails somewhat, but it has subsided sincei met my husband and had my children, I still feel there is something missing.A sign of the times perhaps?wanting everything and never finding satisfaction. I am currently contemplating my psyhcic abilities, whether the development of them will bring me the 'missing part'

There are many, many possible causes for this feeling of not fitting in. I've seen/heard such feelings from many clients and from myself as well. Sometimes there is past life trauma of being betrayed or killed by someone you trust. Sometimes the soul doesn't feel totally comfortable with being incarnated again (remember that we have probably spent more time outside a body thta in a body). Sometimes you may have incarnated in a part of the world that you haven't lived in before. Sometimes there's a gap in what your conscious mind remembers about your purpose this lifetime, leading to a feeling of not fitting in. There are other possibilities, but the above are some of the ones I've encountered.

Blessings,

Bob

I was interested in what you said about pastlife trauma. although I have no past life memory, I do have a perfectly round birthmark on my left temple. It has been suggested by another member on the forum that this could be a bullet wound from a past life. Obviously being shot in the head would be very traumatic, so maybe this is where my feelings stem from.

Donna,

Physical injuries are only one of many, many possible past life traumas. Also, one doesn't have to have a birthmark to have had a past life trauma. I would say that everyone has traumas, big or small, in every lifetime and very, very few leave birthmarks.

Blessing,

Bob
