I met my baby before he was mine

This is difficult for me to talk about for me because it is so different from what I have believed throughout my life. However, my experience has me questioning what I believe about the nature of existence and the nature of the soul. I think that the best way to start is to start at the beginning.

When I was 21, I am 27 now, I had a very very very vivid dream. I was running from some kind of bomb or war. I was running up a hill and the whole world looked like a waste land. As I was running up the hill suddenly there was a baby in my arms except he wasn't a baby, he was an old man
( if that makes any sense at all.) This baby wasn't all that excited to see me and could talk. He said " oh all right, I will come again, but I don't see why it matters because we are all going to die." Then as we were running from the bomb he said "on 29." This dream deeply effected me and was not easily forgotten.

Shortly after that dream I became pregnant. This was an unplanned pregnancy, and during the pregnancy I thought that the baby would be the baby that I saw in the dream. When he was born I knew that he wasn't. I decided that the dream was just a dream.

In 2008, my husband and I decided to have another child. I was in graduate school, and we had planned to have the baby in mid april right around the time that I would have completed the requirments to graduate. To our surprise, we were having fraternal boy/girl twins. The twins were born 9 weeks early and had to spend 6 wks in the nicu. They were born on 2/9/09.

Our twins are doing very well today. The are just over a year old, but the boy is very what I call "frustratable." He gets very upset when he can't do grown up things. He WILL NOT EAT unless he does it him self with a knife and fork. He tries to grab my coffee and cries HARD when I take it away. Some of this is developmentally appropriate. I have a MA in counseling and 2 other children and I know that children in early childhood mimic adult behavior, but our little boy takes this to a new level. I feel like this is the baby that I saw in my dream despite every logical bone in my body telling me that this is insane. On the other hand, six years before the baby was born, he came to me and said he would be born on 29. He was actually born on 2/9/09. How much clearer can you get.

I would enjoy hearing objective opinions about my experience.

THXs.

Hi Sam, and welcome to the Forum!

Your dream certainly sounds like it may have some validation. The only question I would have is; Why would he have said "twenty-nine", instead of "two-nine"? Or, could it be that you confused the two when you experienced the dream? When we see two numbers together, I think we automatically presume that two numbers together must mean one whole number. So, could he have meant "two-nine"? If so, the date is certainly significant.

His present behavior would also seem compelling, if you are an objective, level-headed observer; and your credentials certainly suggest that you are. I tend to put a great deal of stock in the observation of a child's behavior, because over the top, or unusual behavior has to have an origin, somewhere. And, because you have been able to observe the behavior of your own children, you have a point of comparison to determine what behavior is, actually, unusual.

When he is old enough to start talking, you may have an opportunity to observe a third validation for your suspicion, because he may say something that is a direct reference to your dream. The observation that he appeared to be a very old man in your dream would suggest that he could have been someone close to you, who passed away after a full life, when you were a child. Does this sound like something familiar?

Before he begins talking it is important that you read some helpful information that you will find in Message #17 of the thread, titled, "The Four Signs of Children's Past Life Memory". You will also gain helpful insight by reading some of the other threads in the Children's Past Lives section. You are at a very fortunate stage in your twins' lives, because you have an opportunity to witness their past life memories, without passing them off as childhood fantasies.

Good luck, Sam; and please allow us to share your experiences with you.

Yesterday I posted about my son. And your story reminds of dreams I have almost on a continous bases. I had a dream when I was younger about a little blonde hair, blue eyed boy with me at a local elementary school where I live. He couldn't have been more then 3 years old. We were watching some sort of program. It has taken me almost 5 years to put it together but my husband brought his son in to our relationship and he is a blonde hair, blue eyed boy. This is just one of my dreams, I have dreams that come true frequently. It is scary ecspecially when I have bad dreams. Or for instance when I was 16 my mom got pregnant with my little sister. I told her 2 weeks before my sister was born that she was having a girl. And she had a little girl.

Thanks for sharing!

nighttrain,

I have always wondered about the number in the dream. It is hard to explain but I did see the number rather than hear it. It was blue which is a number that I associate with november. So for a while, I thought that november 29th had some significance. I actually thought I would die on November 29th since the baby in the dream said that we are all going to die. It wasn't until my twins were born that I realized that the number 29 actually might have been referring to the date that they were going to be born. I remember that I was sitting in the hospital and the date was written on a white board in front of my bed. That is when the significance of the date hit me like a ton of bricks.

Dreams are funny things. It is hard to know what is significant, if anything, and what is just our minds trying to make sense of things.

Thank you for your thoughts and your support.
