Learning a foreign language through past lives

Maybe someone has tried to work with clients or themselves, with a request to obtain (remember) knowledge of a foreign language, when they lived in a past life in a country where they themselves were a native speaker of the language of interest?

How effective can it be?

What affects the effectiveness - "to fully recall (download)" those skills, language skills and use them in the current life?
 
This quote from "Seth Speaks" seems relevant here:

"Those who are born into the same nationality, say twice consecutively, learn to speak much quicker the second time around. Some infants will think in the language of a past life before the new language is learned. All of this has to do with the use of symbols."

Only to think how difficult it is to get connected to one's PL (in a regression, e.g.), and still more difficult to maintain such a connection some reasonable time, and here they come with learning a whole new foreign language in the meanwhile.

I.e., you must somehow (how exactly?) transfer tons of information from your past memory to this life's physical memory somewhere in your physical brain. But are you sure all the knowledge of your PL language has NOT perished together with your PL physical body?

Ha-ha.

Laziness, that's how it's called. Want to know a language? Take manuals, dictionaries and all that people normally use for this, and, most important, be prepared for a hard intellectual work. No riding a gravy train here.

I don't think it is that easy.
Maybe you can learn some skills (including languages) faster if you already knew them in a past life. When we say that someone has a talent or a "knack" for something, they may have mastered the skill in a past life and now learn it faster because they only have to re-learn it. But SOME learning and practice is always involved. Even when you resume something you haven't done for years in your current life, you will have to practice a bit before you can do it again, it just comes back a lot faster.
 
With my PL dreams I've had, it's been a little bizzare in that I've heard words in German, but most is in English. Like it was translated for me to hear. So why only some words in German? Why not all of it? I often wonder if it's due to our strength of connection to our past lives. You're essentially playing a broken game of telephone, or reaching for something clearly not meant to be taken.
Think about where we get our PL information from: Is it DNA or RNA related? It's a possible theory, but then there are people like me who know their PL is from another country, and not even related to their family history or genealogical line. So it must be the soul then? What do you all think? I think it's just amazing and unique we remember anything at all.

Easy does it, and we'll learn as we go, right?
 
I have several past lives in different countries and I have never wondered why I could understand the language in my memories. I'm French and remember PL in antique Rome, a Nordic country, Ua Pou Marquesas Islands, Russia, USA, Canada, Austria. But I remember hearing Russian words in dream and couldn't understand the meaning.
I don't think our PL memories are DNA related. DNA comes from our biological parents, maybe the soul can modify our biology to create birthmarks PL related .
The soul is energy. Our memories are energy stored somewhere . We should not remember and I don't know why some of us can remember. So frustrating when you cannot remember everything, but it is also exhausting to have memories. I learned English at school but I have started to learn Russian because I like the sound the language and to see if my life as a cossack guard could make it easier to lean.
 
Most of the languages I've dabbled with on Duolingo were ones that I would have spoken in PLs, and I seem to do OK, but not sure if that's because Duo does make starting out a little easier. Plus some of the courses are much better maintained than others.

It wouldn't surprise me if language learning/re-learning was similar to muscle-memory learning/re-learning; the mouth, tongue, even the brain for interpreting, are all muscles after all, it would make sense that languages known and used for entire lifetimes would come a little easier in the current life, similar to how other PL skills can come back in subsequent lives (musical skills, sports, craftskills etc)

I agree it's possible. I tried learning German, and I'm okay with it, but my brain has a passion for medical science. I picked up biology in high-school like it was nothing, and I'm still obsessed with it. I just couldn't pursue it because I've never had the money for the courses.
Due to some of my upbringing issues, plus injuries, getting ahead in life and building a career has been hell for me. So I do my best to learn from home while just trying to take care of myself.
 
The funny thing is watching a YouTube historical documentary about Catherine II in Russian and realizing after half an hour that I had forgotten to select the english subtitles 😂. Of course I couldn't understand, I am really a beginner in Russian but I think my soul found the lecture very interesting.
Speaking or writing in Russian is not so easy but I think reading and understanding words and the meaning of conversation is relatively easy. (The same for English) Old cossack songs in Russian are easy to remember.

Omg YES YES!! I have certain songs that jog my brain. I wanted to post it in the song thread, like I mentioned before, but was afraid to. I put this sing on, and my soul just inflates itself with do much pride and joy! I just can't get over how much it feels.
I went and found a few other marching songs from Germany, but this one is my favorite.
(Apologies to moderator. Knows this should be linked in music area, maybe?)
 
I think Baro-San's quote is pretty apt.

I don't think it's possible to "download" forgotten information, through a meditation or hypnosis session and then you instantly know it. I do think there's some "muscle memory" involved, so that if you do try to learn a language you used to know again, it should be somewhat easier, as compared to someone who has never spoken the language, especially when it differs greatly from your own current native language or one you may have been exposed to in this life.

If I relax and focus on letting a word come to me, I can usually get a match on the basic sounds. I even once selected my previous past life's home town, when I made an account on a Chinese social media. I can't read Chinese and I thought I selected at random, but apparently, something subconsciously connected.

So I think the knowledge is in there, but I also don't think you can "download" it per se.
 
I found I had an aptitude for it, and my accent is minimal for my actual native language group. Cannot download it, but may be good at learning it.
 
In my experience, I can recall some situation when I was a kid, first years at elementary school (at 6 or 7 y/o), when the teacher was surprised because I started writing Spanish (my native language) with English syllabus. For example, "y" (in my country) is pronounced as "sh" in English. I started using that kind of English writing, and remember the teacher was really surprised, because I was a good language student, but she didn't understand why I was doing so.
In my past life (immediately before the current one) I use to be a kid born in 1926 in US, who died in 1944 during WWII in Holland.
Also I can speak and write Italian. I learned the language in just a few months, and I can write it with a very advanced grammar, even if I never "officially" learned Italian grammar in my life. I'm 57 now. I'm working in a US company doing books and magazines typesetting. I normally speak Italian easier than my native Spanish, and some sentences come first to my mind in Italian, even before than in Spanish. My Italian friends are very surprised about the way I can communicate with them in their language.
All this is completely unconscious. I studied other languages. French (with very modest results) and some German (impossible for me to advance with that), but I was a "natural" with Italian, and a pretty fast English learner.
