Looking for answers

I've just finished reading Carol Bowman's book RETURN FROM HEAVEN, this site was listed in the back. After reading some of the messages it has prompted me to write the following. I don't really know where to start so it will be very garbled. Forsty_Mom if you read this please could you send me the address of the free psychic you mentioned in your reply to Melusine.

When I was about 3yrs my Dad and I were out in the car driving by a house that belonged to a great Aunt of mine. My great Aunt had died before I was born and when Dad said she had lived there before I was here I went into a temper. Dad was forced to stop the car because of me yelling at him from the back. I screamed at him 'I was here before', he argued back 'No you were not'. This apparently made me even more angry, and I yelled 'I was here before when [my sister] was in her cot!'

My sister is 7 1/2 yrs my senior and indeed when she was in her cot as a baby Dad had seen a small girl who resembled me by her cot looking at my Mum. Mum didn't see this at all.

Later on that same day Dad had taken me for a walk and we came across a dead rabbit. Dad said was trying to explain to me the rabbit was dead and that was why it couldn't get up. I didn't understand this so I asked 'Why doesn't Jesus make it alive again like me?'My parents were not curch goers, so where I could have heard this is beyond them. My Granny was religious, however as she had had a stroke and was unable to talk much she could not have told me.

That day was the only time I ever really said anything. But when I was under a year old the sound of my Granny's favourite Hymn would send me into crying fits, so much so that one time it was played a swept my arm across the record player scratching the record to make it stop. There was no other trigger for these crying fits, and every time it was played I would have the same reaction. This was thorougly tested by my older sister as she would play it deliberately to make me cry!

Before I was born many strange things would happen in the house. For example on Christmas the tree started to shake for no reason. It shook so violently that all the decorations came off. When I was 3yrs my Dad and sister were talking about something in the kitchen. Whatever they were talking about sent me into a huge belly laugh, when asked what was so funny I just replied - 'I was a lively little spirit!'

Another thing that happened before I was born would be a strong smell of lavender would appear in the house. My parents first daughter was born prematurely and she only lived for 2 hours. She had been buried with lavender. On the first day my Mum brought me home as a new baby for about half an hour there was a strong smell of lavender in the house. It has never been smelt in the house since.

I would like to try and find out some more about why I said those things, and if indeed it was me looking at my sister in her cot, or making the Christmas tree shake. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful to hear them.

Thanks

I've read quite a few cases where children (in spirit form) hang around their future parents waiting to be born. It sounds to me like that was the case here.

I am in agreement with Fiziwig. It is common for smells to be associated with ghosts or sprits, or perhaps newly reincarnated spirits! And lots of posts in the Forum discuss children describing events before they were born, and they say they were there. They sometimes remember details their parents forgot!

Motherhood is living in a state of perpetual exhaustion and bliss. And knowing your work is never ever ever ever done. LOL!

Thank you both so much.

I've only just come home so I haven't a time to look through the lists, but when I do I'll get back to you.

Thank you both very much for taking the time and trouble to point me in the right direction.

The important thing is that you know this is COMMON and you ARE NOT ALONE!

Bright Blessings!

Fiziwig: I have just been reading through all these threads anyway, so when I read this post, some stories just stood out for me. They are stories that are relevent, one a child was using very religious language when no one in the family was religious, and others where a child was present before being born.

I love reading some of the older threads, the stories are great, and so many themes come up over and over. Sadly, each person writes their post with a sense of being the only one this has ever happened to. Yet, read the threads, and you can find many cases so much the same! I can't help but want people to read each other's stories! It amazes me that such stories have been repressed so thoroughly in our culture, when it is obviously rather a common occurance.

I've just had time to read all the threads you listed. They are absolutely fascinating. I've told my Mum to have a look at this site. If my sister can get near her computer (she has 3 teenagers so it could prove quite difficult!)I'll tell her to look too.

My sister said a few years ago that she has seen our elder sister. The question whether I am my elder sister or not has been raised before in our house. One time my sister said she suddenly saw a young woman coming up to her and saying'NO'. My brother-in-law has also seen a young woman in their house. He woke up one night and saw what he thought was one of his daughters standing by the bed. When he looked closer he saw that it wasn't either of them, but a woman who looked like a mixture of me and my sister.

On a different matter have either of you read Jenny Cockell's book YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN? I don't know if it has been published in America, but if you can get a hold of a copy it is well worth a read. It's Jenny Cockell's own story of her search for her pastlife children. She had pastlife memories being a mother to a large family in Ireland. Through regression she remembered more details and went to Ireland to find them.

I'll write more when I've done some more searches through the threads as suggested.

Thank you again for all your kind words of help and support.
