I love cars and hope the environmental extremists never get their way. Old ones, new ones, I don't care. They're beautiful beasts. So when a 1946 Cadillac was seen lurking in a parking lot, I just had to check it out. Turns out I wasn't the only admirer of this high-gloss black beauty. A mother and her daughter were also looking at it. I muttered to myself about how gorgeous this baby was and the little girl, her eyes all a-glitter, said "Mine was blue." Mother gave her a half smirk like she was being mildly silly, but that's when my inner adult emerged. I told the girl that is she studied hard in school, she could very well own another one someday. I left with only a smile and a nod, not wanting to pursue the matter with a stranger who could well be offended by the notion of reincarnation (besides, being on the job, I was supposed to be working...), but I thought it neat that the little girl seemed to be remembering another life thanks to the chance appearance of a 1946 Cadillac 60 Special!
