My Danish PL memory

Here is one possible PL memories from when I was about 4, that I had always thought were dreams (though they 'felt' different than my other dreams, more like I was actually there, visiting, walking around!). I don't know how old I am in the dream, but I feel like I'm not young, not old, maybe in early 20's, and male (I am female now). I am looking at a stone house, it is very simple, just big and small stones and mud/mortar.

What struck me, was that the window was just, really more of an open space where there were no stones, and closer to the ground than the windows on present day houses. The ground on which it sets seems very flat too, there is a feeling of flatness all around. Then I am looking at little blue and red flowers growing in simple line all around the house, not really a fancy garden, just a line of flowers. I had a feeling of love and familiarity, pride for this house. Facing the house was greyish/turquois sea, a beach, but not like a big wavy ocean and 'Hawaii' type beach, more of a very low, flat, still sea, and flat beach line (hard to explain here). It is hazy, overcast, and in the midst I see something that I didn't really understand as a child but now know was a paddle wheel boat.

I remember describing this whole thing to my mother, and she told me it was a paddle wheel boat, and she wondered how I could have seen this, as she knew I knew nothing of these things- or of seas. When I was 15, she took my sister and I on a 'pilgrimage' of sorts, back to her birthplace in Svendborg, Denmark, and also to Odense. We got a little tour around the place by my grandmother's neices (my second cousins I guess) and then I saw it....the house, which had belonged to my great great (great?) grandparents, but now to someone else and was one of those 'heritage houses' the Danes try to preserve. I also saw the coastline from my dream!

We did not talk about reincarnation or consider it back then, rather we (my mother and I, who had many discussions on many many subjects) believed a lot in 'inherited memory' to explain a lot of what I was experiencing, like the intense feeling of deja vu the whole time I was there, how I felt like I could take off and never get lost there (which I did, my poor mother) and was speaking fluent (almost) Danish within a week! Also, we visited a beach one day near Christiansmind, and there I saw it- the paddle wheel boat, more as a tourist attraction though, giving rides to people. I was just dying to get on it, but it had left for the last ride of the day.:(

I remembered this dream after reading posts dealing with reincarnating back into the same family. I wonder who I could have been:laugh:

Hi missuJoe,

That sounds like a pretty interesting experience.

Have you ever done any sort of genealogical research? Perhaps you will find out -- who lived there at the time that possibly fits your description.

Have you had any other dreams about this man/boy, since you've grown-up?

I'm afraid not Ailish, I never did have any other memory of that place, other than that very vivid 'glimpse'. There were always a lot of 'feelings' though, that ever since I could remember I just took it for granted that when I got older, I would live in a house by the sea..I still don't, I am land locked except we live by Lake Superior lol. I always had a love for the sea and dreamt about being a sailor and owning ships, and was always mad about fishing. The closest I ever came was, we had a family camp with a good stretch of isolated beach line I fantasized was a 'coastline' and would 'beachcomb' as a child. We lived the simple life out there (two months out of the year), my little sister, my grandmother( who came from Denmanrk at age 29, bringing my then, 5 year old mother) and I, where I happily did the simple chores (lighting the lamps, splitting the kindling, hauling water etc.).
Also, though very much a woman in every way now, until I was about 12, I always thought of myself as a boy and identified with all the male heros (three muskateers, cowboys, robin hood etc.). And until I conciously tried to change it, making myself hear my own, female voice in my head when I thought or had inner dilogue, the voice in my head was always a man of about 40, sounding a little like 'Father knows best', wise and confident! I wish my mom was still alive (passed in 2001, about 6 months before I had my son) so I could ask her questions. I do remember her coming back from our trip to Denmark, with a photograph they gave her of a painting of some ancestor's 'fleet', (about 4 or five modest fishing vessels, but probably a thriving business for that time). I'm sure if I did a little digging I could come up with something, but currently I am pursuing my father's line from England. My other PL memory takes place, I am sure in England as well.

Hi missuJoe,

I know exactly what you mean about those dreams feeling different, I have a similar experience to you, I usually forget my normal dreams as soon as i've had them but there is one dream i've had "more than once", where, like you, i am there in the dream and it's as if i'm awake, and i'm not me, and it's like i'm seeing everything unfold with my own eyes and not in my mind, does that sound familiar?

Have you considered having a session with a regressionist? my regressionist took me back into my "dream", and I was able to fill in many gaps by doing this. Also my regression started off a chain of events that led to a validation of my past life existence, I still can't believe or explain how that happened.

Very interesting post btw
Good luck
Chris

Ok, here we go, third time lucky (made two posts that didn't go thru, trying to reply to you Chris, my son messed them up both times now but is finally asleep:D ).

Wow Chris, that is so cool, I hope I get a regressionist as good as yours, and you give me even more incentive to try that! I do know what you meant about the PL memories being different than dreams too. I know now that I have had many that weren't really dreams, but memories but only when I was younger and they are so vague now. This is the other one that I remember vividly after all these years, which I had at around 4, and had a few more which were like this one, but just a bit more of the same, maybe a variation until I was about 6: I am a 7-8 year old boy but I don't really see myself.

I see my 'playmate' whose appearance I don't really understand, actually he frightens and intimidates me a little but I play with him anyway, I have the feeling that he won't really let me get away. (After taking first year University history, I realize that he is just suffering from malnutrition, and disease- being one of Englands many poor, street children, but he is probably older than I (the 7 year old) thought, he is just stunted. I also sense some malice towards me from him, and the surroundings. I play on a large, black dirty 'hill' with him anyway, but the others resent me for doing so.

I now recognize that as a slag heap, which formed from the dumpings of fireplaces or coal burners etc. of the more affluent. The poor would sift through these dirty, sooty piles to find anything of value for a few dollars. I remember swinging on tall wooden swings with him too (man he was strange looking, I'm sorry but it still gives me the creeps!). Suddenly I hear a woman cry out, and a man shout at me (but not my name, darn). They are comig towards me from a great distance, but they recognize me and seem frantic, relieved and angry with me all at the same time. They both are tall, slender figures all in black (long black full skirt, white fancy blouse, black bonnet type hat, and the man very much a gentlemen- black 'tails' and top hat, white button up shirt- the works) I look down at my hands and clothes for some reason, and I am shocked to see how filthy I have gotten from the sooty hill, and figure that is why they are so upset.

Then she- I assume my mother- is over me and I see the fear in her eyes, she says "You must never never go from us like this...you cannot go here..don't you know? Oh, my child.." (it was something like this, if not the exact words) and then she cried a little and my father was very stern, he grabbed my hand and said 'HOME!" I looked back and my playmate gave a long, almost angry look as I went off with them. And that's it.

Hi missujoe,

Very interesting posts. Thank you for sharing. You also stated -
My other PL memory takes place, I am sure in England as well.

Care to share those? I am interested. Also, have you considered doing a meditation to understand more about your dreams?

Thanks for your interest Debortah. I am good at confusing people:laugh: I had meant that, my father's line all came from
England (only he was born here) and the PL memory takes place there as well, I am sure. sorry: angel Getting serious
about meditation is definately one of my priorites, for many
good reasons, pl memory certainlyh among them. One day (soon I hope) I will have a regression!

Hey missuJoe,

I am wondering if you've had the opportunity to try a meditation or a regression yet? Or if you've received any more information about this life?

Ailish :D

Hi,

Since I am a native Dane, living in Denmark, I just thought that if you have any questions about something that you think could have something to do with Denmark - please just ask :) You're very wellcome!

Yours
