my daughter is now 15 but when she was 2/3 she spoke of her other mummy, now at that time me and her dad had split and I remember asking him if he was seeing anyone at the time.
I know he was wasn't due to my daughter being the youngest of 4 children at that time. none of my other children ever spoke of another mummy. she would speak of her other mummy being around her/us.
I never questioned her and when I mention it to her know she has no knowledge of other mummy.
however I developed severe post natal depression not long after her birth that was not picked up till she was 18 months old and looking back I feel that someone was around me not only looking after her but also myself.
I just wish I'd asked more questions who this person was, I would love to think my grandmother was the one looking out for us (she died 40 years before I was born). My daughter is identical to me in everyway I can show a picture of me at 6 and my daughter at 6 and people think its the same child.
should add my grandmother is from my paternal side who I resemble much more than my maternal side.
