My daughter's "Bus Life"

My daughter is now 24 but when she was about 3 she was always facinated by any school bus that we passed on the road or that she saw from our home.
If we were driving and she saw a bus she would always start a conversation with "remember before you were my Mommy and I was on the bus?"
At first I had no idea what she was talking about, so I asked her what that meant. She proceeded to tell me about how she had another Mommy & Daddy before and that they didn't live in "our" house and not in Virginia at all. It was ok now because even though she was on the bus and died in the fire, NOW I was her Mommy, the fire was over and she's Jennifer NOW. When she started kindergarten she had to ride the bus to school. I was a nervous wreck that first day. Not just because she was my first child to leave for school (she was calmer than I was!) but I was also anxious to see how she would react to having to get on the school bus.
She was fine, excited & happy. When she got off the bus that afternoon I asked her how the ride was. She told me, "Mom, don't worry, I'm not gonna die in another bus fire". I then heard all about her wonderful first day at school and nothing more was mentioned about bus fires that day.
She continued talking about busses and the bad fire and how she'd been afraid, but not for too long, and that it was ok to have more than one Mommy & Daddy because "that's just the way it is" until she was about 7 yrs old.
Then it just stopped, she couldn't have cared less if she saw a bus on street.
If I asked her about the things she'd said when she was younger, I'd just get a funny look from her that told me to not ask such silly questions.
These days she says she barely has any recollection of those days and certainly doesn't remember ever being burned to death on a bus. She was just always so certain and grown up about those conversations that it had me wondering and got me very interested in the issue of past lives. I truly do believe in them now, but it took a 3 yr old to bring it to my attention.
I'm so happy that I found this site and to know that my daughter isn't the only child to have related such things.

Hi Donna,

Welcome to the forum! Thank you for sharing Jennifer's story with us! It's wonderful that you just let her talk to you about everything, and that you listened with an open mind. ;) My parents always chalked it up to an overactive imagination, but thankfully, my grandma wrote down everything I said and did in a little journal, so I have a pretty good reference book

Welcome Donna. :)

Isn't it amazing the things we can learn from children? That is really interesting about your daughter, and great that she didn't have any fears carry over from her past life death. She's lucky to have a mom who listens to her and takes her seriously. Thank you for sharing her story.

I have often regretted that I wasn't more aware of pastlives when my child was very young, and questioned her more about particular things that she said that were possibly pastlife related.
