My best friends 2 year old son and I are best buddies. Every time I’d take him to the park to play he would point out Mac trucks and with sheer enthusiasm. I always felt as if he was always trying to tell me more. I had read Carol’s book and had always wondered who Isaac has been before, though, I have always been hesitant to ask. A couple of weeks ago I was driving Isaac to the grocery store when we passed a few motorbikes. I heard him rambling something about bikes but it wasn’t coherent to me. As the car came to a red light I asked Isaac if he wanted to ride a motorbike when he was a big boy his response blew me away.
His tone was very different and when he spoke he came across almost as if he were a grown man trapped in a two year olds body. He said “I drived a truck”. Startled, I turned around and looked at him. He then proceeded to tell me how he use to push a pedal and pointed to his left foot. I then pointed out his right foot and asked if he used that to push the pedal also. He insisted “NO”, this foot and adamantly pointing out his left foot. He spoke with conviction when he explained moving a stick and wearing a hat. I asked him what happened after, and he told me he drived in to the water and drowned. This also explains why he doesn’t like to go to the public pool. I think he may have mentioned he drove off a bridge but I can’t quite remember. I then said “oh wow and then you came here” and he started shaking his head saying “NO”. Confused by his last answer I dropped the subject but in hindsight I think he was implying he went to an afterlife state. I was expecting him to nod his head yes but it didn’t occur to me that he may have also remembered an in-between state. Several minutes had passed before I asked him what his name was. He mumbled something the started with an “S” but I didn’t understand it. It certainly wasn’t an English name. It could have been of Indian origin because whatever he said I never heard it before and unfortunately I can’t remember for the life of me since I would’ve need a pen and paper to write it down right away. I’d like for him to tell me more but am afraid to ask him again. How would you go about getting more info? Later this month I will be taking him to the Truck Rodeo. It is where you get to see Truckers race their Macs and after, you get to sit in the cabs and talk to the drivers. I think Isaac would really enjoy it. His mother is a god fearing catholic and I must NEVER share this information with her. She had already condemned me to hell for going to see a psychic (lol). I’m dying to tell her though but I know I she may never let me watch Isaac alone again.
