My 8 year old adopted daughter has always been special but for some reason I am so much more drawn to her then I am my 2 other adopted daughters. Please dont get me wrong I love all my girls the same but there is just something about Sarah that I dont understand. MY sister keeps telling me that Sarah and I have a past life together and latley I have started to believe it. Sarah has always been an Old Soul and what she has said to me always amazes me, she loves the 60 and 70 music and last night we were driving home and she said " Mom turn that song up" then she says " I used to love that song" it was like she was remembering it from a long time ago This is a song from the 70's and something she does not hear. A few weeks ago I was saying how much I missed my Mom who just died a few months ago and Sarah says to me " Mom you can see Nana anytime you want, just look into your heart and she will be there. This child is 8 and what she says just blows me away.
How can I find out if we were together in the past ? Sarah is also into Egypt, the art and history of it all, Sarah also lays on the floor and play dead alot.

Play games. Games that could include your other children, but allow Sarah, and you, to open up some possible memories. For example, if you have a video camera, let Sarah put together a "TV show" about any time and any place she wants, and use the rest of you as "actors." Or draw the way you all think things were a long time ago in a pretty place. Get interested in the things she's interested in, and learn, for yourself about those other times.

Don't get serious about it. Play. Don't go so much for specifically who you might have been, but just for what things were like. You fill in the surroundings, eventually specifics might become clearer. But keep it playful; that's when the best things pop up. If you get serious and try to get results, you won't get them.

Another thing. Take her on a book buying trip so she can pick out some books about the times she's interested in (DK Eyewitness books are great!) and let her tell you stories about the the things she finds in the books. I kept my face in books I found familiar things in all the time.

Have fun!

Welcome to the forum Beth-e,

Sarah is the same age as my son was when I did my first meditation with him. We set a timer for 15-20 minutes, laid down on my bed side by side, agreed to just be very quiet and listen to the music (Tibetan Bowl music)-- and see if any images came up in our minds eye.

It's a wonderful relaxing technique..and if your open to it...you both just might experience similar past life events. My son and I did. It was a wonderful experience for us both.
