Carol, I would very much like to talk to you about our 8 year old. He experiences severe respiratory distress when sleeping. He gasps for air and his chest heaves as he labors to get air. He has terrible allergies and has not been able to learn to read due we think to short term memory problems perhaps related to oxygen defficiency....we have been to the best LD experts, allergists,pediatricians,anthroposophical doctors and even massage therapists and Reike professionals to no avail...after reading your book I am ready to entertain the possibility that this is a past life issue. We are anxious and desparate to help him. We are also near Philadelphia until the end of August. Please let me know if you can help. My husband is a clinical psychologist who is widely recognized in our area for his success in treating anxiety disorders. He is skeptical but open to trying anything. PLEASE HELP.ty disorders. Margaret, I feel silly mentioning something that you have undoubtedly already dealt with, but as I too suffer from asthma, I hope your son is having some medication to help him through the night? Sounds like he could be allergic to his bedclothes. I know, this is too easy... but I had to mention it.

The environmental Hell we call modern life can not be tolerated by an increasing number of children. The percentage of autistic children in California schools has doubled in the last five years. In some of the more polluted districts it is double that. Granted it's still only one in several hundred but that is an alarming rate of increase.
