Past Life Flashbacks - Various Members

About 1968 there was an international conference dealing with scientific stuff. One of the things they did was rename several units of measurement after the people who were strongly connected with the research. Temperature term "Centigrade" was renamed Celsius. "Cycle" term for frequency was renamed Hertz.
Ah, my mom probably brought the old term with her from Canada, then. Interesting.

Flashbacks or not, since I use this board as a bit of a journal to keep track of this type of thing, I'll make note of the following: an increasing number of dreams with themes from the later 18th and early 19th centuries. Just to be clear, I never dream historically, but symbolically. Also, clothing has never been a feature of my dreams. As a matter of fact, it is never something I have ever even noticed in prior dreams.

However, I have been having dreams lately that seem to be more like memories of ordinary day-to-day events in a different time with people wearing noticeably different period clothing (rather than symbolic excursions). Coupled with this I keep having images pop into my head as dream left-overs and/or part of my waking-up process, mostly images of females in period clothing, though today these images also included a young man dressed as a WWI soldier. I am supposing that these folks will eventually be people I knew at one time, but the curtains come down when I wake-up and its hard to remember particulars after that.

So, a possible new corner turned. Nothing of great interest to anyone else, but (as noted above) I like to keep track of these things as they develop and this board provides a way to do so. Not coincidentally, I also recently had one of my "someone is breaking in" dreams, where I prepared to repel someone who was trying to break-in during the dark of night while a storm raged outside. Interesting symbolism--and more typical than the other matters mentioned. So, this--more adverse--part of me is apparently still there and hard at work.
