Past lives in India

New Member
I think that a lived a good few lives in India. Before my first visit to India I saw a dream, a very clear and vivid one. I saw in detail a very specific carving on a stone wall that involved animals. I did remember this dream for a while and then forgot about it.

When i travelled in India for a first time (in this life), a fellow traveller suggested to visit a small and relatively little known town in South -East India, for it has some nice temples and not too many tourists.

Soon I strolled at the central square of the town. I was walking along the facade of one of the temples when a carving at the corner caught my attention. I had feeling I had seen it before. I scratched my head and started to think hard. I had never seen any photographes of this town before. I even
did not know this town existed before i went to India.

When i was staring at this carving i suddenly recalled my dream. I had seen this carving in my dream. The carving and this corner of the temple wall had few very specific details and i had seen all of them in my dream. The carving itself was in quite a rare style, it is not very typical or wide-spread motiv. So I am 100% sure this was the carving i saw in my dream. One interesting detail, though: in the dream the picture was horisontally flipped, so that what in reality was the left side was right side in the dream and vice versa.

I do not want to reveal the real name of the town because it has a huge
personal meaning to me. But this town and the temple both exist and I could go there tomorrow and point my finger at the temple wall that appeared to me in the dream.

In this life, before i actually went to India, i did not think much about it. i went there, because the opportunity was available and I was just curious to see an exotic place so different from my home (I am a white European woman).

But once I went there, the connection with this place started to surface. First of all, when I went to South India, I sort of felt that I have landed in a right context. The spritual culture and people's way of thinking were very easily understandable for me. As addition to that I must say that most of my life in my home country in Europa I have felt out of place. I have felt that my natural way of thinking and feeling clashes all the time with the collective subconsciousness of this part of the world. In South India however everything suddenly fell into it's place. This does not mean the people there immediately took me as their own. I got enough hassle because of the pakage I had, the white woman's body. But I felt some sort of belongig myself. I understood very quickly how people think and feel there and soon I was swimming like fish in water.

But there was another feeling as well. I felt that people who live in India today are not the same race anymore where i belonged once. I felt that people who I knew and where I belonged - my race - has left long time ago and the people who live there today are strangers to me. But I was still able to relate to them because this previous race had left their influence that was living through contemporary people.

i feel that if I lived in India, it must have been not later then 1000 AD. But i have feeling that I lived at least a life or two before BC, between 2000-1000 BC. The location must have been South-East India. I feel I had something to do with Orissa as well (North-East India) but I doubt I lived there, perhaps visited or had a guru of Orissa origin. In at least of couple of lives in India I feel I was a devotee of a spiritual movement, most likely Bhakti yoga.

Hi Melinda,

Welcome to the forum! :D I really enjoyed reading about your experiences regarding India. What a wonderful validation to receive with the carving! It's always so amazing when parts of the puzzle start to come together ;)
Please keep us posted, I'm fascinated! :D

Hello Melinda and welcome to the forum! :)

I enjoyed reading about your feelings towards India! I can totally understand how you feel. I never felt that i belonged where i was born either... ;)
Do you know anybody in your present life who could have lived in India with you?
Thanks for sharing your story with us! I look forward to read more!

Answer to Fab

Dear Fab,

I was glad to find some comments already. i always wanted to talk about past lives with somebody but people I communicate with on daily basis are not into past lives and would think I am a nutter.

I read with great interest your past lives memories archive before I posted my own stories. I was so absorbed that I did not stop till it was early morning.

As to your question, yes, I think I have met at least two people from one of the past lives in India. I think more but these two are sort of confirmed with a past live memory. I was actually just planning to write about it. This people are still alive and live somewhere in Europa at the moment. (I think - perhaps they have moved to India...)

Melinda

That's great, Melinda! Do they remember a lifetime in India as well? Have you talked to them about it?
I have the same problem... I can't talk about reincarnation and PL's with anybody here... :(

Hi Melinda,

I felt that people who live in India today are not the same race anymore where i belonged once.

A few years ago, I had an odd experience. I visited some international chatrooms, out of curiosity, when I had my first computer and internet connection. I chose chatrooms where people from all over the world came. And I never made the first step for a private conversation with anyone. But oddly enough, I ALWAYS got clicked by Indians and I made many Indian chatfriends that way. Most of them were living in India, but there were also Indians living in UK, USA and UAE etc. So I started wondering why that could be, why it were always the Indians that picked me out....
Then one day, a psychic friend of mine had some kind of vision, where she saw me in a past life as a person who worked for the 'underground railway' as it was called, in the United States, helping runaway slaves (This connected with a PL memory I had myself, of being the daughter of a plantation owner, and in that life, as a young child, I remember promising myself that when I would be grown up, I would always be good for the black people, because I didn't like the way they were treated). My friend then somehow got the connection that those slaves I helped, were now reincarnated as Indians, and those were the ones that I became friends with through the internet in the present life.
Anyway, I had to think about this when reading this statement of yours:)

Hi Eevee! :)

Your story is also fascinating! Are you still friends with them? Do they have PL memories too?

Past lives in India 2

There is another memory about India. But first the events that triggered it.

I met this chap quite a long time ago. We moved in the same social circle of artistic people who had interest in exotic cultures, this is how we met. He visited me a couple of times and we just chatted away, but nothing special. I thought he is a sympathetic character, but slightly odd, like a forest fairy or something. One could almost see the moss, grass and dried leaves tangling from his hear. A year or two passed, I did not see him. Then he surfaced again and he had changed somehow, smartened up and looked more sophisticated. I suddenly felt attracted to him.

We had an on and off affair till it turned out he had have a wife all this time, a lifelong relationship. It was strange because I usually sense when somebody is in a relationship, not speaking about wife - it is in their aura somehow. But he had an aura of a lonely wolf.

I was annoyed, of course, but not too broken because intuitively I knew right from the beginning that he is not my long-term partner of this lifetime. Our relationship still continued for a while and then faded. In spite of this, he had very positive spiritual influence in my life and even brought me some good luck. And stranger even - I did not feel jealous of his wife or any negative feelings towards her - it had never been the case before when I had been part of a love triangle.

His wife did not give any sign that she knew about the affair. But then I once saw both of them together and I suddenly sensed she knew, either consciously or subconsciously. But i also sensed she was not angry either, even more, I felt she approved it! I was totally puzzled.

At this period of time I had this vision. It was quite a long time ago and I do not remember if it was a dream or insight in meditation.

I saw this man, myself and his wife of this lifetime all sitting together in a bamboo jungle or similar, meditating or carrying out other spiritual practice. We were all facing the same direction. He was sitting in front of us, i was sitting at the left behind him and the other woman was sitting at the right behind him. We both were his wives. Behind us were other wives sitting, all together 8 or 9. Behind them were couple of people who were not wives but perhaps servants of this man's household (I feel they were male). The people were sitting at 1-2m distances from each other in a lotos position, forming a triangle with sitting positions, the man being the top edge of the triangle. All people facing in the same direction.

The ground was covered with dry soil and some small dry brownish leaves here and there. I assume it was bamboo jungle, because the plants around us had thin stems or trunks but it could have been some other type of plantation too. It was like a forest, but only medium-height and not too tense, as the rays of light were penetrating it. The atmosphere was quite humid, but still pleasant.

The light was coming from the direction we were facing. Judging by the angle of light, it must have been afternoon, some time between 2pm and 4pm.

I did not see how myself and the other woman looked like in this other life, i only knew we were there and we both were wives of this man. And like in this lifetime, there was harmony between us, no conflict at all.

I did not see the man's face or his appearance in detail but his physical shape seemed to be similar to this lifetime. I feel that he was some sort of a leader of the spiritual devotees (but not a guru) and we, his wives were devotees as well. I feel we actually lived in the jungle for periods of time like
a group of heremits... It sounds funny, because man had 8 or 9 wives! And yet I had feeling we all were some sort of jungle heremits, searching for spiritual enlightenment.

I do not know when this scene happened but i think not later then 1000 AD, possibly BC. The man in this story, he very much believes in past lives and admits his strong connection with India. Like myself he felt that he arrived home when he first visited India and he has had his own visions about past lives there. (he is European in this life).

I have not seen these people for a while but wherever they are I wish them well and I am glad I met both of them in this life.

Yes, I am still friends with some of them:)
But my only memories of that lifetime are of being a little girl, and my father, the plantation owner, didn't like me to play with the black children, because it was 'not suitable'. And I remember thinking: When I grow up, I will be friends with whatever black person that I like, and no one will forbid me !
I did recognize a man that worked at a hotel in Tunisia when I was there on vacation, as being one of my little black friends back then. So apparently, my friends from that life are spread all over the world now, lol.

Interesting read.....well, I'm from India and this is my second life here....I was a priest in south India (modern day Andhra Pradesh) in a previous life....but that was a long time back....have you considered that you might be drawn to Indians because you might have had a previous life here or visited the place? I was very drawn to Chinese culture and I always thought I might have been from there..it later turned out that I wasn't chinese but lived there till my death...I kind of find it a little difficult to understand how a whole lot of chat friends (most of whom might not even know one another) might have landed up in the same past life in a particular race and then re-incarnated into a different (but again the same) race....just seems a little unusual...

It is so nice to see someone from/in India posting here as so many spiritual insights and parameters have had such significant expression there (for us all!).

The conference in New Delhi, India March 8-12 seems like it would be a good reason to visit.

Hi Dakini,

The interesting part of my experience was that I was not particularly drawn to them, but they seemed to be drawn to me. According to this psychic vision of my friend, it was like through the internet they picked up a kind of 'recognition energy', I don't have other words to explain it.

Eevee

Hi Eevee,

I can totally understand the 'recognition energy' the psychic described. That happened to me before but not always in a positive way. ;)
What a great story! :)

There is a conference in New Delhi....wish I had known before...I'd have made plans and tried to go for it... :(

Same here

Hello, I am xe from Mumbai too. I happened to watch the program on Reincarnation yestarday night on Discovery at 11.00 pm (3/3/06). Now a bit about myself. For the last two years, I have been wanting to undergo past life regression, ever since i have done Art of Living. And things started to take shape, and at last i found this wonderful forum,
I have spent most of my childhood in south india. And like you I am too much drawn to china and chinese culture. infact i am also very vivid listener of chinese folk music, though i dont understand the lyrics it all sounds so familiar to me. I have spoken about this at home too that there is something to do with my past life.
Good that i found someone with similar kind of experience. I would be too glad to undergo PLR if you could guide me to someone expert.

Hello xeinusa and welcome to the forum! :)

Have you thought about trying self-regression yet? There are a lot of helpful Cds that can guide you through the whole process.... Some work well for some people and some don't. You should try until you find the one that works for you. Also, meditating can help you remember too. ;)

Good luck to you and we hope you enjoy the discussion here! :)

Hi Dakini.

Since you were not able to attend the Reincarnation Congress going on now in New Dehli, the new book by Walter Semkiw where he gives several examples of reincarnations of current and former Indian politicians and actors would be a very good substitute to attending the Confererence. :)

Walter Semkiw will be giving a workshop at the Conference.

And the book is titled:
"Born Again, Reincarnation Cases involving Internationl Celebrities, India's Political Legends and Film stars".

Direct link to the book and cases:

Indira Gandhi, Jawaharial Nehru, Abdul Kalam are amongst the cases.

Video of Walter Semkiw

Just thought you (and some others) might be interested :) .
Me too when it is awailable here in the west.

Best thoughts.

The book:Born Again

I have the book and lot of observations but I am waiting remarks from some serious investigator.
Is there any one here?
