Question about my past life?

Hi,

I am definitely new to the idea of possibly having had a past life (or lives).

But, I was wondering if some of you out there who are more versed could explain something to me:
I am inexplicably drawn to a particular place. I dream of it often. I visit that place probably twice a year (as often as possible, but it's 6000 miles away, so it's not easy). When I go there, I feel like I've gone home. I never worry about finding a way to go back, because I always find a way back.

I feel like I am part of the culture there and although my heritage is not of that place, I am constantly mistaken for one of the people of that place.

Any ideas?

Sara

Hello Sara and welcome to the forum. :)

To me it definitely sounds like the place you're talking about is familiar to you from past lives. It could also be it is - for many reasons, perhaps - an area you and your soul feel at home in.

Often when there are similar stories here on this forum, the person has spent several lifetimes in that culture/area, or then they have had a very meaningful and/or recent past life there.

When you dream about this place, are the dreams about this modern era and about your current life? Do you know all the people and places in those dreams from this life?

If you are willing to explore these feelings towards the place further, we are eager to help here!

Hi Sara, welcome to the forum :)

I agree with everything Karoliina has said, and I'm also curious about your dreams of the place you feel drawn to, there may be some clues there as to whether this is all past life related.

You might find this thread helpful: Past Life Dreams - Common Characteristics, feel free to ask any questions if you're not sure about anything.

Have fun.

Hi and welcome to the forum! They've given you some good suggestions. I'm curious to know what area you're talking about and what the dreams are like. If you're comfortable sharing, I'd love to know more. :)

Thanks, everyone!

The place is Hawai'i. My dreams are always in the present. When I dream about it, it's like I understand that I live there and I often just dream about day-to-day stuff, but I'm in Hawai'i, instead of here. (if that makes sense).

I feel like I am drawn there like a magnet and I find it really interesting that people assume I'm from there (although, let's face it - people aren't always real couth trying to distinguish others' ethnicity).

Welcome to the forum Sara. :)

Feeling drawn to a culture that is not your own certainly can be potentially based in a past life connection. When in Hawaii do you ever instinctively know things about the island or culture that you haven't been told or learned through conventional means?

You know, that's a good question. Like I said before, I get over to the islands about twice a year. It's hard to tell what I have learned as opposed to what I might have already known. I think it's interesting though, that since I posted this, yet another opportunity to go to Hawai'i has come up. I just got back about 3 days ago and will probably be going again at the end of October. Maybe it's circumstantial, but it certainly seems to want me there as much I as I love being there! :)
