Race of Ancient Egyptians

This is more like a query. Anyway, to the moderators, if there’s a more appropriate forum for this topic, feel free to move it. Also, try not to use any offensive racist slang here. I apologise in advance if this is a controversial topic but I’m genuinely confused because we have some people claiming that Ancient Egyptians were black, then we have others who say they weren’t, that they were either Asiatic or Caucasian.

I want to pose this question: ‘What was the race of your average Ancient Egyptian?’ Geographically, they were Africans but in my memories, they didn’t really appear like your average black person. They seemed more Arab to me. The painted reliefs of Horemheb, my past life self, made him appear pretty dark but in my memories, I was slightly lighter, around medium brown. The sculpture was more or less similar to my memories, except that I was thinner. My point is, the shape was there but the colour, not so much. Most of my Ancient Egyptian peers also appeared Arab, not just my past life self. I would say that Ancient Egyptians leaned more towards Arab phenotypically, according to my memories. However, for those with Ancient Egyptian lives, was my perspective on race similar to yours, or was it the contrary?

If you have some scientific evidence of their genealogy, that would be much appreciated.

However, that’s not to say that the Ancient Egyptians weren’t black. According to my memories, we were at least partly black. It wasn’t so much because of the skin tone but it was more like the hair texture. During my time as general, I sported dreadlocks, or a layered Nubian hairstyle. Perhaps this was due to the influence of Nubia but it’s possible that this was also the natural Ancient Egyptian hair texture. Either way seems plausible to me.

Personally, in my first AE lifetime as Queen, I had fair olive skin (I do not believe I was from Egypt, but more or less Mitanni (Ancient Syria)). Where as in my second AE lifetime as Pharaoh I was very dark brown but not black.

The name ‘Kemet’ (the Ancient Egyptian Name for Egypt) depicted that Egypt was the ‘black’ land. Nubia was definitely darker than Ancient Egyptians.

In all my Ancient Egyptian groups that I am a member of, this is a very hotly contested debate that has ever bordered on very controversial. I think it is best if this topic of the colour of Ancient Egyptians is well left alone as again, it might turn into a very controversial debate as no one seems to be able to agree anywhere about their skin colour.

I actually read that someone thinks that I was ‘an Assyrian who infiltrated Egypt’, because I apparently ‘destroyed everything the Egyptians stood for’ and ‘cut the noses of people, which is an Assyrian thing’(seems to be an Internet troll to me). Perhaps I got the cutting nose thing from observations. As a soldier, I did travel a lot. Of course, I don’t trust what the person said since they didn’t cite any evidence but I’m open to that possibility, partially.

Ok maybe I was not necessarily Assyrian but I probably descended from some Middle Eastern people(not too sure of the exact country), according to my physical appearances which was pretty mixed, and I was from the Northern part of Egypt too. Of course, I consider Horemheb to be Egyptian, no matter which descent he was, since he was born and raised in Egypt. It’s the same thing with my WWII past life, I consider Reinhold to be German, even though he partly descended from the British, Irish, Italians, Dutch, etc, since he was born in Germany(but the raised part is complicated because his childhood was rather nomadic).

I think this discussion can probably be closed now because I guess in conclusion, Ancient Egypt was diverse, especially after conquering so much land. It really depends on the individual. Some people descended from non-Egyptians too. Don’t forget to consider geographical locations as well.

During my meditation (this was very long ago I had that meditation) when I experienced living in Egypt so very long ago, I had dark hair and somewhat brown skin but this was when everyone wore white sheets to cover the bodies and lived in white mud looking 1 floor houses. To me it did not look Arab or African, I don't know where to origin the looks, really.

Tbh I always assumed Egypt was sort of a mixed bag in terms of ethnicity. That's like prime trade location, so there would have been a lot of people mingling around.

My most ancient memory, before Tut I think, the people I saw where tan rather than black.

Brief research on the internet appears to be inconclusive. However, several DNA studies have been conducted. University College of London seems to lean towards four distinctions (See reference Race in Ancient Egypt) based on geographic areas. I would surmise there were many shades of skin color as people evolved, and migrated out of African, the origin of our human species. ~Tman

I have talked before on the forum about the tribes of the Nile I have also talked about my many incarnations into Ancient Egypt My most earliest memories are of being a member of one of the tribes of the Nile in Egypt's pre history... again I have talked about that before.. Let me set something straight...Over time tribes came from not only Africa but also Europe and Asia ,, The tribes were nomadic They came to the Nile a place where they could live a good lifestyle and the Nile and land would provide for them so they stayed there... People talk about who they were in Ancient Egypt but none and I mean none talk about which tribe there family originated from
That raises many question in my mind.. There were hundreds of tribes... I have no memories of any black tribe that rose in stature that would have allowed them to produced a king of Egypt To fully understand how things worked you would need to have a full understating of the politics between the tribes which I do not have.. I'm not saying there was not a black king only I have no memories of one... but it was most certainly not a common thing... if it was I would have a memory of it
With such a wide ranging areas of the world the tribes came from to Egypt who interacted with each other I'm confident in saying the Ancient Egyptian were a mixture of many ethnic groups

Welp, I guess we can all conclude from here that diversity has existed since the ancient times, including Egypt. I thought diversity only started somewhere in the 1000s but I was wrong. So yeah, Ancient Egypt was a diverse nation. Thank you guys for your input.
