Reincarnation and finding ‘the one’

It’s been awhile since my last post here. I’m NOT seeking attention, I just wanna get answers to a situation in my current life. Sometimes I feel like I’m just unloveable. I don’t believe I ever will find ‘the one’. I do meet new guys at my college occassionally, but they are either not interested, they are taken, or they show some signs of interest, but likes someone else as well. It has happened to me too many times to count. I’ve tried to stop looking for love, because I know it will happen to... anyone else but me. I don’t want to get hurt again. I’ve considered that this is a lesson I have to learn in my current life, but I don’t know why. And the worst part is that my sister and everyone else around me finds love very easily. I’ve never been in a relationship before, and I’ve always been very shy and insecure because of my Asperger’s syndrome. And that’s not something I can just ‘fix’ in a few days. Do some people just reincarnate to stay single forever?

Maybe, it has something to do with a tumultuous relationship in a past-life? Perhaps, an abusive lover, a romance cut short by tragedy, or some other bad experience?

I, too, struggle romantically in this life and feel that I died unmarried and childless in my previous incarnation. Not to say that I don't feel there was ever any kind of love or romantic connection. I do have an intuition that it came at such a grisly time in both our lives, and we were soon torn apart, so I don't want to - in this life - make that connection for fear of the same happening again. I do admit that I despise rejection and, therefore, very rarely ever make a move on a man I desire enough to want to confess my feelings and attraction to him. Plus, everyone that I have approached romantically has rejected me, deepening my 'fear'. Maybe, I was put back on this earth to realise that love can be great. I just chose something of a defective shell to try it in this time round.

Eh, who knows? Maybe, there is someone out there for me (and for you, also), as the masses say. Maybe. I'm probably just not looking hard enough, or in the right places.

Don't know your age but it is anywhere near mine then you have little choice but come to terms that this is a very difficult generation to have been born into when it comes to relationships. I am not going to bother as I have enough on my own plate and can't handle the infantile gender politics nonsense that has become common place. If ever there was a time where mental health issues can spread like the common cold it would be this era like no other for the longest time. I do have a another side to me that is very warm and romantic but people my age are heart breaking disappointments, the lack of any real class and the lack of good values that also being good morals really puts me off.

How do you know that? Do you remember that life? Just curious :)

I kind of remember it. I think. During regressions, I've been presented the names Emilie and Jakob (spelt like that, too) and a strong feeling of love between them. But, the images I've seen through 'spontaneous recall' show turbulent dark times. Jakob was ripped from Emilie, forcibly removed, I sense...

Hi Gaga,

It has been a while. It is good to hear from you again. In terms of your lament, it is all too common. I pity the current generation of females. Things had already changed a lot when I was coming along, but it was only the beginning of the upheavals in gender roles/expectations and sexual mores that have followed. Young females today are stuck trying to negotiate a heaving landscape with no real certainties. And, for the foreseeable future, I can see no changes to this situation. Indeed, the revolution continues to “progress”.

Overall, I think I would align with There and Back. You are probably being faced with a common problem that impacts all young women. Male chivalry and gallantry have been casualties of the modern era. Many females reject them as sexist. Many males no longer see the need. Either way, we live in a bleaker and coarser era in which many males have not been trained or encouraged to be otherwise and are crude, selfish boors. However, in their defense, I would say that many modern females appear to be rushing towards the bottom with them.

I make no apology for my lack of political correctness. If anything, getting in contact with Pls from earlier eras, even at an instinctual level, makes one realize what a marvel the current age is in some respects, and how utterly debased and crude it is in others. Not all of what is called progress is actually progress IMO.

Cordially,
S&S

I suspect that it is your life lesson to overcome an impossible task. Autism as one person with it described it as being like Mr Spock. The truth is that you can't really read another person face. So you can't tell how a person feels about you properly. So you will struggle with relationships. But I suspect someone will come along when you least expect it. Just don't give up on love.

Interesting... Do you remember anything else?

It's all still new, and I'm trying to sift fantasy from 'truth'. It was during the Holocaust, I feel, and the man was definitely called Jakob. I'm not so sure on 'Emilie' now, as most I've found records of turn out to be Emile/Emilio in others. There is a Marie, however, who fits some other clues I've gotten through regression and intuitions (French, young, imprisoned in a camp, etc.). It was something of a brief romance, a few months, and then they were separated. Possibly by relocation after liberation, or even by Jakob's death. If I was Marie, she survived the camp (possibly by being trained as a female guard) and was released into the local vicinity. She even, possibly, returned to France. After that, there's nothing more on her. There's even less on Jakob, not even a record of death for either. Could be that they're not available online. Could be that, somehow, they're still alive (one almost 99, and the other 100) and are, therefore, the wrong people! I've been getting a lot of that recently; the wrong people. Emilie turning out to be Emile or Emilio...

I need to do further regressions with a clear mind, to see what I get. Whether I get a WWII story, or something completely different. I feel about 60% sure of what I've 'seen' is fantasy. Maybe more. I was hoping to see WWII, then Holocaust imagery took over, and I was kind of hoping for a romantic connection. But, Jakob rang clear as a bell through my subconscious. Maybe Jakob is a connection, but I'm looking at the wrong period in time...

Hello GaGa

Don’t give up on yourself. I remember feeling much the same way growing up and coming through college. I never had steady girlfriends. I remember being in a room full of people, but feeling maybe lonelier in that situation than I would have been by myself. To be honest I may even be on the spectrum myself. Though, I have never been diagnosed. I am very introverted, and it can be hard. I feel you.

One day I did find someone and it worked out. I have a wife and children now. I was in my mid twenties. Just be patient and be yourself. I would also tell you to not settle. Make sure whoever you find for yourself treats you with respect and dignity . Otherwise being alone is truly preferable.

Oh, cool. I do think most of what I've actually seen has been fantasy, sadly. I need to clear my mind of the ideas and research I've done, and do another regression. See if I get similar imagery as before, or something entirely different.

I haven't done much research on my WWII past life yet. I don't have enough memories I guess. I only remember being transported to a camp, working there and being stabbed by the guards. But I also have very clear memories of some unknown houses. If you're interested in reading about this life, you are welcome to check out my older threads :)

So true. No one can MAKE another happy. Happiness is either a natural tendency in a person, or it isn't. However, the wrong person can sure make another happy or well balanced person miserable. Also, the wrong person can make a shy, depressed person utterly dejected and despairing. It is lonely on one's own, but nowhere near as lonely as being around someone who brings us down to dangerous levels.

Still at college? You don't realise how still very young you are. Have you heard the song 'You can't hurry love, you just have to wait'? A good old but jaunty Tamla Motown song and so true.
All those other younsters who seem to have found 'the one'? In a year or two's time the vast majority won't be together anymore, because they did hurry 'love' and found they were in love with their ideal of love and not the other person.
I have known and do know a number of now more mature people who suffer from Asperger's or mild Autism, who did find someone (not Asperger/Autism sufferers) to be friends with, and it became lasting love and they now have adult and near adult children.

The way to go about it is to first learn enough about yourself, not only what you like and dislike but what you do and don't find acceptable in people you like to mix with. For instance, what morals are important to you, such as honesty, to be kind or not TOO kind, loyalty, fidelity, your own beliefs on what is right and what is wrong, good and bad behaviour, what is fun and what isn't. You are still growing in character, and some of your ideas will change throughout life.
There is no point in being with anyone whose own ideas and morals are so different to yours that you wouldn't want to be good friends with first - it is possible to love someone but dislike them, and the dislike grows until it kills the love. Very painful and draining. I have been there.

Remember, take your time and know that in time you are almost certain to meet someone to be happy with.
