roman death

When I was about 3 I remember having a clear notion in my mind of a particular death. I got the neighbor girl to act it out with me as a game and I never altered the variables or story of the game. I don't remember the memory so clearly now as an adult, but I remember the game and the story I told then. I have glimses of the picture I saw then. I was tied to two boards like a crucifixion, but I didn't know of it at the time. A roman soldier (I knew he was roman at three) crossed me then (this is gory so if you have a weak stomach don't read on) and slit my stomach. I knew I was pregnant and what his purpose was for doing this, the baby falling was the last thing I could see. I wonder now how the hell I knew about roman soldiers, religion, or even what pregancy was at three years old. I was told by the neighbor's mom not to play that game anymore and forgot about it until later when I remembered getting in trouble for playing this and the memory came back...a bit less clear. I remember a couple of years later having to have the "Where Babies come from" talk and genuinely seeming to learn this info for the first time. I'm thinking that the part of the mind that had remembered the past life and the conscious mind had to be in different parts of the brain and had not quite shared knowledge. Is there any research collaborating which part of the brain seems to deal past life experiences? And I don't think that I could have made up such a fantasy, especially that grusome or detailed at that age. I don't remember having any negative feelings attached to this memory at all at the time. Has anyone else had something similar?

Welcome,

It certainly sounds as if this is a past life memory, despite your not consciously realizing it in your youth. Crucifixion was a very common way of persecution-killing. It sounds as if you are still affected by it, to have enacted it in the course of your early childhood play. Or perhaps there is some sort of lesson for you in remembering it.

thanks for replying. I'm really interested in history and I think if maybe I can put together some more info about the events of the time period then maybe I can trigger more info or more insight in this memory. It was when the Roman Empire was Christian, so it was later in the Empire. Maybe under the reign of Constantine? I don't know, I'll have to do more research. I have an intense interest in celtic culture and history...which battled with the romans much earlier, but the interaction would have continued as long as the Empire had power. I hadn't really thought of a lesson to be learned though. I guess I should turn some of my concentration towards that. Thank you, I appreciate the insight.

Hi! I'm technically a child though I'm in High School. I've always been interested in past lives and dreams. The only experience I've ever had with past lives have been in dreams. Here goes: From the time I was in 6th grade I loved Roman History, but there was only one time period I loved to study: the first five Caesars. The reigns of Augustus and Claudius I particularly interested me. I loved watching documentaries on the Romans, and the 'I, Claudius' TV series was wonderful to me. I even played out the lives of the Emperors with dolls. Then, one night I dreamt of a young farmer in a Briton village whom I felt was me. He had to hide his girlfriend in his farmhouse so they could escape the invading Romans. They ran through the burning town and made it to the house just before the soldiers broke in. The Centurions drew their swords. Then all went black. The young man was then speaking to someone. Though I'd been watching a movie the night before (it wasn't about Romans) I think it was something else.

Adios!

Hi Wonderwoman

Scientifically it is stated that all of our memories of "other" selves and lives are stored in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind functions independently of the conscious mind "proper". Since your conscious mind "proper" is individual and "fresh" in each self, each new life starts exactly that - NEW.

There is also a very good explanation in Karl Pribrams work, in conjunction with the holographic theory
