Switching roles throughout lifetimes

I mentioned this in another post and thought it would be a good thread to have on it's own, i'd love to hear other stories like mine

I purchased one of Weiss's cd's and had some interesting memories come out of it, one memory in particular showed that John (my boyfriend) and I had switched roles in this lifetime.

I saw myself as a bed-ridden man due to an injury in what feels like a war, I hear chaos and yelling in the distance outside. There are several men standing around me in uniform, and a nurse helping me out. She was my wife and taking care of me while I was out of commission. The men are fellow soldiers. I have a feeling that maybe one or two may have been my ex's (interestingly, both were in the military), but not positive. I just knew that the nurse was John, and I was her hubby.

I had this memory around May/Early June. Towards the end of June, John was in an accident and broke his leg. He couldn't do much on his own, so he ended up staying with me and I ended up playing nurse in this lifetime :thumbsup:

We've been living together ever since!

Kind of sounds like a 'you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' type of scenario. I personally don't have any role reversal stories to tell at this time, but I've read about many of them. They seem to be quite common. Have you shared this memory with your boyfriend? How do you guys feel about it?

I have vivid memories of being a man, a prospector of sorts, with a young wife who tagged along and tolerated my quest for riches. I know that this wife is now the man that I'm with. I don't remember any reversal of actions, like you mentioned with the care-taking, though.


I also remember a very recent past life in a jungle as a boy with a slightly older brother. This older brother kept trying to keep me from unsafe things and I never listened very well. Now that older brother is my little sister and I do most of the "looking out" for her. She doesn't listen very well. :tongue:

I haven't talked to him about this, I don't know how he would react or if he'd really understand. I've brought up the subject before. There really aren't that many people that I can talk to about these things who can relate to and understand y'know?


I also think my sister and I may have switched roles as well, in a PL I was the older sister who took care of her. I think she was my little brother in that lifetime. She practically raised me while my mom was holding 3 jobs to take care of us.

I'm sure role reversals happen often with past lives, but personally I have more memories of keeping the same role with the souls than I'm close with over and over again. For example my relationship with Ailish from this forum has almost always been one of a caretaker's (not in this life, though ), as I've been her mother, older sister, aunt etc.


I don't know if it's just because it's easier to remember familiar circumstances.
