4 year old twins

My twin girls have both talked to me about having another mom and dad in heaven. My daughters B and L that have talked to us seperately and at different stages of their development. Right now it is really on L's mind "Mom, I have another mommy and daddy in heaven." She started talking about it over the past 6 months that she has a mommy and daddy in heaven and that she lived in a "tower" and had a doll that she loved named "Peetee" and she broke it. She also seems to remember being a bit of a troublemaker and says she used to leave her toys all over the place and didn't listen. She sincerely worries about her Peetee doll being broken. She also says her mommy and daddy in Heaven told her it would be ok to leave them and then she came here, but she misses them (I don't think she remembers an image of them physically). I don't interrupt the story with questions but I will occassionally ask a question at the end. Once I said, "So where were you when they said you could leave?" and she said "Heaven... Mom can you drive us there now?" I reminded her that we can't go to heaven - we live here on Earth. That conversation has come up and she will sometimes argue and say... "Yes you can mom... it's not far. Can we just go there now?" Otherwise I haven't asked her too much. Lately she'll tell the story and say "Right B?" as if her sister was also in the past life. Because their stories are different I am not sure its right to "combine" their memories. My other daughter B started talking about her other mom as young as 2 years old and at the time I was working full time. It was heartbreaking for me to have my daughter crying for her "Other Mom". At first I thought she was confusing a daycare provider as her mom. She could always speak well for her age and she let me know that it was not, but it was her other mommy in heaven. As a Catholic, I tought of Our Lady when this first happened but as time passed I realized it was a real person. It was sad to lose that ideology that I AM the only mother that my child knows. Also B has always had phobias about cracks in our walls. One day, we were watching Lil Einsteins about the three little pigs and she starts getting very serious about the cracks in our walls and how to make sure our house can't fall down. Granted this is from the show but it was like it tied into this crack in the wall concern that she's always had. After that it became a repetitive question to me and she is scotch taping and putting bandaids on the walls of our old plaster house. Also says there is "green magic" that comes in from the cracks and the first nice day last spring we had a green reflection coming into the house from the leaves on trees and it got her upset about green magic. One day she freaks me out by telling me in her frank tone that she had a dream that we were in an accident and went spinning around and around all over the place. Let me tell you I have been driving like an old lady ever since. So again we were watching some other tv show about the three pigs and suddenly it hits me "ah ha" .. the three little pigs is really all about a tornado. Duh. I always thought it was about being practical and planning before you take action. I still never share this with her, but I start wondering if somehow she has a tramatic past life memory of a tornado. Then she stopped talking about her past life until recently when her sister started up on it. Last night as if to "fill in" on her sister's story she elaborates and says as if it is all coming back to her that "yes L the room was all messy because there was a Twister and the room got all messed up and there was metal and toys and dolls everywhere and pokey edges and they were spinning around and around." She then started to try to remember her parent names and thought she got it but it was either jibberish or another language. It may have been another language because she has always insisted that she "knows how to speak Spanish".

Welcome, Chloe!

How interesting that both of them are experiencing this together. It's lovely that you are able to listen and accept their stories without silencing them.

It sounds like you're handling this really well!

Keep taking notes of everything they say and draw / create. Sooner or later, it may add up to a fuller picture of their lives.

This experience is so awesome!! I love that your girls have memories together, that is so cool. I hope you'll keep posting & recording their experiences.

Welcome to the forum. :) Have you read any of Carol Bowman's books, "Children's Past Lives" and "Return From Heaven"? Are you aware that she lives close to you in Media? It sounds like your daughter(s) may have died in an earthquake or tornado. If they speak or understand Spanish it may have been a different country. Maybe it was a hurricane, typhoon, or cyclone and not a tornado. You can ask open ended questions. Good times to ask are when they are sleepy or riding in a car will also put them in the right mental state. Start keeping a journal and write everything down. Their memories may start to fade by the time they are 7 or 8.

When my older daughter was little she too spoke about her other mom and how much she missed her. Broke my heart and made me feel like I wasn't enough for her.

If you can, write down what the girls are telling you. It will be interesting to you and to them as they get older. It's hard to remember the things they say as time goes on.

Journaling

My daughter B reminded me tonight to keep a journal which I already have but hadn't included any of this information previously. Mainly because I wasn't sure what to do with the information or what to believe. If they said it once and dropped it I wouldn't be here now looking into this. I am going to write this down for them and will have to read Carol's book.

B is feeling more comfortable talking about her memories again because tonight she described to me her favorite breakfast as Vanilla Donge and described it with a vanilla stick in the bowl. Then I swear she said something for real in Chinese and said "This is how people greet each other in Chinese". Then she started making shapes with her hands she described as "Ancient Chinese Mysteries" and did a Chinese bat shape and the other she called a Chinese popper. They were cute but not something I've ever seen in movies or even can find on the internet. The only movie she's seen about the Chinese culture is Mulan I and II which she loves. I went online and found Congee which I think may be what she was describing so I'm going to try to make it for her tomorrow. I have to rewatch those movies and see if somehow she is picking this up from the movie but I've seen them and none of this was familiar to me from the Mulan movies.

See if she'll let you photograph the hand shapes. That could be interesting to research, but hard to remember if you do find a site later.

Also, try to write down the words phonetically, as close as you can. There are people from all around the world on this site, and someone might be able to confirm the meaning.

She might remember multiple lives, too, so keeping track of her descriptions and words will help you sort it all later when a pattern forms.

China has both earthquakes and typhoons. Another thing you might try is let them watch Chinese videos on YouTube and see if they understand any of it. Most Chinese speak either Mandarin or Cantonese.

BTW, do either of them have any birthmarks? After you read Carol's books you will understand why I asked this.

Birthmark

Both of my daughters have birthmarks.

B has one on her head around her ear we can't see anymore and she has a transverse birthmark on her thigh.

L has a birthmark in almost exactly the same place as I have a birthmark on her calf. It was so funny because I call her my clone.

The girls are not identical.

I have to start that book today. Also I agree if I can get B in that mode again I want to use a video camera because it is crazy that she seems to be able to "channel" what really sounds like another language. I think she thought "Spanish" was the word for another language and I explained to her last night that Chinese people don't speak Spanish but speak Chinese (maybe I should have said Mandarin or Cantonese). But she then agreed "yes" it was Chinese. The bat is an easy hand sign although hers was somehow better than mine but the popper was complicated.. I have to see if I can get them on film.

I also remember when I was about 3-4yo telling my mother that I remembered another mother when I was small. She insisted that I was her only mother and I remember arguing and not agreeing but not wanting to hurt her feelings. I never would have associated any of my grumpy caretakers for this other image. At that age I remembered it as something I could only know for myself as it didn't "make sense" to talk about it. (But I'm also not sure if I really wasn't seeing my own mom as two different people in my own mind at the time.) Had I pursued it maybe I could have told her more at the time. My girls clearly have other things to discuss than just a brief flashing memory of a parental figure.

Birthmarks many times are related to how they died in their previous life. Gunshot, knife, sword, etc. Sometimes there will be two birthmarks with gunshots, entry and exit marks that line up. The exit mark will be larger than the entry one. If the roof fell on them that could have a different birthmark. Sometimes the birthmarks will diminish or disappear as they get older.

For Chinese kids shows, there is also Kai-lan. It may trigger something if you let them watch it, but you should watch it first. (Some of their episodes model bad behavior far more strongly than the good.)

I was also wondering, has L ever said what Peetee looks like? Maybe you can get her a new, unbroken one? If the "tower" was a modern apartment building, the doll might still be available.

This made me remember the more recent earthquakes in China.

I wonder if she's making some kind of dance movement? Chinese dancers make various traditional gestures with their hands. Is a 'popper' fireworks of some kind?

Just a thought.

More Updates on Twins

Sorry gone so long from posting but we have a major addition occurring in our house sidetracked me.

B was really going for a few more days with what seemed to me like legitimate past life memories. She also described to me that she had a brother and sister in her past life and showed me how tall they were. She said they were the same age as each other as well. My guess was around 7-9 year old and again if they are that age in her memory I wonder about trauma. I am refraining from shows with those types of tramatic situation because she has so much fear I don't want to make it worse. But, you'd be surprised even "Sheriff Kali" has tornados. I still think it was tornado. Anyway, she is developmentally ahead of her sister and now she seems to be "forgetting" the past life. Or at least she doesn't talk about it anymore. I'm not sure that the twins really do share the same memory now. I think they both seperately have memories but maybe not the same.

Thanks for the suggestion about dance as it really does look similar to her hand sign for popper and yes she is referring to fireworks. But again this memory is a fading one for B.

More Update 2

L was talking again last night with her grandmother and today with me about her past life. I was driving by my old neighborhood and told her I was going to show her the house I grew up in. She asked if it was the tower from the castle and then said, "Oh no it's not my tower as that got ruined". I said that I just lived in a house and I'll show it to her. She asked, "Do you know your old mommy in heaven? Have I ever met your old mommy?" I let her know my mommy is her grandmother. She was a bit confused for a moment.

She doesn't argue with me anymore about how yes she did have another mommy in heaven. She could not really describe the Peeta doll and is not good at describing things like that yet. But she still never named any other toy "Peeta". She does tend to get very attached to one of her toys.

Last night she told her grandmother she remembered her parents names = HANNA AND SUNNI

Pee-ta doll

Phi Ta Khon is a Thai "ghost" festival. They were masks and there are sometimes dolls from the festival. There is a lot of dancing involved, and the second day involves rockets and fireworks which are pleasing to ancestral spirits and also help make it rain, according to Thai tradition.

Just a thought - could this be Thai? If so, and this is just a bit of a leap, but there were significant casualties from the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake that resulted in a major tsunami there. It makes me think that might be why they are concerned with buildings "leaking" and having to plug them up, and also with being up "high" in a tower. (There were other storms in surrounding areas during different times but the 2004 Tsunami was huge.) Perhaps they thought they were safe up there and the building collapsed. If the building was up high but weakly constructed it would be very traumatizing when it fell. It would also explain why they're still looking for their parents.

That's a very interesting idea. Could be something like that. She insists she knows how to speak Spanish. Could it be perhaps connected to the Philippines? Spanish is spoken there, as well as the original Philippino languages.

...the room was all messy because there was a Twister and the room got all messed up and there was metal and toys and dolls everywhere and pokey edges and they were spinning around and around. She then started to try to remember her parent names and thought she got it but it was either jibberish or another language. There was a big typhoon in 2010 and an even bigger one in 2009, with 747 people killed. Something like that could explain the fears about cracking walls and the 'green magic' coming into the house? Spinning around and mess everywhere and so on would all fit with that, wouldn't it?

Spanish and Phillipines?? interesting thought

As I mentioned earlier my one twin B is no longer "remembering" stories as she had earlier. She was the one who did first and really woke me up to this whole idea being so young and speaking so clearly of it being a previous life and previous family. Last night we had her watching Dora the Explorer which we really never watch because it usually is not a time we watch tv. I was out of the room and I heard her practicing the words with Dora (which is part of the show to do this so not surprising) but what did surprise me is that while she is watching the show she is drawing on a notebook a picture of a tornado. I came in and she said "How do you like my picture, it's a tornado." I said "Oh yeah it is." Then she started another page when the show came back on after commercial and drew what she called "large tornadoes" all over the page while reciting the Spanish words in the show. I do wonder if as someone mentioned she had somehow had multiple past life memories if past lives are possible than why not. In any case, clearly I can see a connection with tornadoes and Spanish language that is not going away. She still insists she knows Spanish so I think it is time to get her enrolled. If I can find the drawing I'll post a photo.

Has she ever heard Tagalog? This is what the Philippine natives speak. I'll see if I can find something on YouTube. The only other Spanish speaking country that would have anything like tornadoes would be Mexico or South America.
