5 yr old's dream

son's dream
My 5 yr old had been suddenly diagnosed with asthma last Oct. He developed pneumonia too and was in the hospital for over a week. This week he came down with bronchitis. He has been sleeping alot because of the illness and meds.

Just a few minutes ago, he woke up and looked at me in a perplexed way.

'I just had a dream'

I asked him what it was about and in his lisping baby voice (he still has a bit of a speech lisp) he tells me he was 'a bigger boy' in the 'wrong house' with 'wrong parents' and had no HAIR. He says he was just laying in his bed in this 'wrong house'. The bald part really bothered him. He says he was a bigger boy than he is now.

Then he continues to tell me he thought it was 'weird' and not to tell anyone!

Some speculative thoughts

Hi Dove,

Just a wild speculation:

your son might have been very ill in a previous life, possibly from cancer (which might explain his baldness). His present illness might have triggered memories of such a period period.

Has he told you anything about how he felt in the dream (apart from his feelings of weirdness)?

his feelings

he said he felt happy...I asked him that question while he was telling me about his dream.
He seemed really shocked that he had no hair. He did emphasize this a couple times.
